I used to live on a golf course @HJWT and I had to have a dust pan outside my front door to scoop up all the froglets before I could get in. So can understand how many there could be in your grass. My ones got rather good at flying 😂🐸

SC0508 · 26/08/2019 21:03

Has anyone else had really bad pains at the top of their bump near ribs, I know they say in third trimester you will experience more pain around this area as baby kicks and stretches out but this pain has me in tears tonight it's that painful 😟

HJWT · 26/08/2019 21:12

@SC0508 Yes! After cutting the grass today was really painful under my left rib xx

OP posts:
SC0508 · 26/08/2019 21:18

@HJWT glad it's not just me, not sure if I have just overdone it today or not 😟 currently bouncing on my ball in hope that it encourages baby off my ribs, definitely taking it easy tomorrow at work!

YorkshireIndie · 26/08/2019 21:28

@SC0508 yep. It is uncomfortable to sit because the baby likes to sit on my right - just under my ribs. I have to stand/lie down

4 weeks until I finish work!! Not that I am counting... 😁

gkeal3 · 26/08/2019 21:33

I get the rib pain. Also baby seems to kick and it hurts...literally makes me gasp sometimes. Like it's a bruise and someone's pushing it kind of pain. Really not enjoying pregnancy in 32degree heat either atm....roll on October

SC0508 · 26/08/2019 21:33

@YorkshireIndie I finish on the 19th of September, I think my colleagues have gotten fed up of hearing my countdown at this point 😂 hoping that when I go to bed baby moves over a bit so I can attempt to get some sleep even if I am up every hour to pee 😂

umck2014 · 26/08/2019 21:37

@HJWT2 So glad to hear all's well after all. It was the worst feeling! I had a fall down the steps a couple of months ago just before i went to bed (DH was away for work at the time)... I kept waking up and trying to poke my belly hoping the baby would move. It was an awful feeling!

I haven't had a scan since 20 week too. My original MW's gone on a 6 month sick leave so I now have a different MW. She's lovely and chilled. Have only seen her twice and apparently my measurement has gone from 55% to 95%. My DD1 was 8ib3 which wasn't small but wasn't huge either and I know the measurements aren't very accurate at all but still it's given me a bit of a fright. She brushed it off by saying it's really not a indication of how big the baby's gonna be, it just means the baby's growing the way it should be, and i'm like Hmm Hmm Hmm

I tried to BF with DD1 before but it didn't last very long due to a various of reasons but i hope i can give it a good crack this time.

@newbabyyy2019 Mine isn't breach but it's been OP for a while (months). So I got a fitness ball and every evening I would be bouncing on it for hours on and off. It seems to work - in the last MW appt, he was ROL. As i had a back labour with DD1, i'm doing everything to make him turn around. Have you looked into cranial therapy? i think it's meant to help with turning breech baby.

Chista · 26/08/2019 21:42

Mine was 4lbs 9 on my 32 week scan, they said that it makes baby 97th percentile.

YorkshireIndie · 27/08/2019 07:57

Just woken up with BH. Seem to be getting more BH. I don't know what is more uncomfortable BH or the baby kicking whilst having BH

2018isanewyear · 27/08/2019 08:01

@newbabyyy2019 I'm the same 33+2 and still breech, have been told they will book c-sec if same at 36 weeks for my due date but will still scan just before I have it incase they turn last min. There is still time yet

Frizzy1986 · 27/08/2019 08:07

I'm slap bang on 50th percentile at the moment but no one has given any indication of what that means size wise. Dd was the same and was 6lb 5 at 37+4 when she was born so I'm going with she would've been 8lb at least had she gone full term.
I'm anticipating that this one will go over because I'm preparing for it to come earlier if that makes sense.

I had a rough day yesterday. It wasn't as sunny first thing so we went to a zoo about a 40 min drive away.
It then became very hot and sunny and dh decided we should do the 1hr 30 route around the animals as dd really wanted to see the Polar Bears. Turns out it isn't recommended for people with reduced mobility as there are some steep pathways. I was waddling in agony by the end especially in the heat.
I did well walking the 10 mins to tea later in the evening but my back, hips and bump were really uncomfortable and that meant a rubbish sleep too.
Dh has gone to a boloungerie this morning to get more breakfast pastries and yet again I'm having to stay at the apartment. I just know that if I walk there, I'll struggle the rest of the day and it sucks. I love browsing in boloungeries and patisseries. It's like the whole point of France for me so not only do I feel a complete hindrance (which I've cried a bit about this holiday), but I'm missing out on stuff I love too.

We are going to relax at the beach today and hopefully go to the fish market. Again I feel useless as dh has to make all the sandcastles and play with dd. I worry he is frustrated as he isn't getting to rest and relax and must just see me sat down doing nothing and be annoyed.

Em39ma · 27/08/2019 08:23

@Frizzy1986 I used to live in the south of France. It is hell when hot if you are not pregnant. Don’t feel sad, I know you would love to do all the stuff, but we have to think about ourselves too.
I’m a walk 20000/30000 steps a day person, always have been. I can now barely walk 3000 in a day. I’ve decided that is such a short time that it is what is best for us and the babies.
Sending you a hug, really feel your pain.

HJWT · 27/08/2019 08:59

@Frizzy1986 don't be silly! He should just appreciate your growing him a human! Relax as much as possible 😁 xx

@Frizzy1986 agree with the other posters! I live in a hot country and although I feel the same as you at times (guilty for not being able to do everything) the heat really impairs mobility and already being heavily pregnant is enough to handle!!! It's a period in our lives where we should deserve to relax, we're growing a human, and it's going to be a lot busier in the next coming months!! Try to enjoy your holiday, I know it's easier said than done, but it's also a moment to just enjoy your family of three before the next little one arrives!

cattaxi · 27/08/2019 14:41

Hello! Just checking in from a quiet 5 minutes on the sofa in the middle of a busy few days. We had a great bank holiday with a houseful of visiting friends and kids. The weather was amazing so we had a lovely beach day and bbq & a nice day out. I’m physically shattered today; but is ds’ 4th birthday so all of the excitement is here! I’ve had a few emotional / hormonal moments that my baby is getting so grown up!

Not sure if I can catch up with everything.

I’m planning on bf’ing too. I fed ds until 2.5. He was a complete boob monster! Hopefully this one will take to it just as well. Sadly I wasn't one of those who lost weight either. Maybe this time will be different 🤞🏻
I don’t think I’m going to bother getting any bottles or anything ready this time. Ds never took one. I gave up at about 8 months & chucked them all in the recycling.

Glad all was ok with your little one @HJWT2.

I also have a breach baby, or at least he was last time they checked. There seem to be a few of us o this thread. I’m Not worried about it though as I’m having an elective anyway.

Don’t worry @Frizzy1986. I’m sure your dh understands that you are cooking a human and that’s pretty hard work in the heat. Don’t push yourself. You can only do what you can. Go easy on yourself & enjoy the bits you can do.

We’ve just been looking at pictures of newborn ds from 4 years ago. I can’t believe we’ll have another little bundle in less than 7 weeks!

nousername95 · 27/08/2019 14:56

@SC0508 Yes! I have been feeling bruised on both sides at the front of my ribs! My baby likes to get right into my hip bones as well haha!

SC0508 · 27/08/2019 15:00

Called my midwife this morning as I was in extreme pain and got told to just take paracetamol, she said it's most likely baby is moving and turning as I am 32weeks tomorrow. The pain doesn't seem to be budging at all and got told it should only last 24hrs really hoping the pain eases off soon 😟

Hannah9176 · 27/08/2019 15:13

Hi! Sorry I'm late to this but can I join in the chat too please? Currently 34+5, little girl due 2nd October which will be my first! Would be lovely to chat with some people in a similar situation/compare swollen ankles/complain about being exhausted Grin

secretlyhermione · 27/08/2019 15:27

Welcome @Hannah9176!
The panic buying has hit me all of a sudden and I've bought nursing bras, nursing pjs and some little clothes for the little one all in the space of three days! To be fair I haven't bought anything other than a baby gro so I feel it's warranted! I had a little wobble over clothes for the baby on the weekend as I was unsure what to get. My friend saved the day and is sending me loads of baby clothes so I've really had to do minimal shopping for this, thank god. I did find the cutest little night booties which seem probably quite impractical but were on sale and too cute not to buy. Anyone else come down with stress shopping??
Three weeks left until I go on maternity, which is when I plan on getting my bag ready and properly nesting and getting the house ready. I have a wedding when I'll be 37 weeks pregnant so I'm hoping baby doesn't decide to come early!

HJWT · 27/08/2019 15:46

@Hannah9176 Welcome 😁

@secretlyhermione OMG stress shopping 🤣 why do I love that so much! Next time DH says "what are you doing" Stress shopping will be my answer! 🤭

Iv actually packed mine and DS bag, may have to re pack his though if consultant doesn't induce me, if I go over he will defo need 0-3 clothes 🤯 which will really piss me of because I have spent so much on Up to 1 month stuff!

I went to Primark yesterday got my slippers for hospital and some vest tops! Need to get a sewing kit and make them into nursing tops!

Non-pregnancy related update- our flat purchase has fallen through, so this weekend we are moving in with my PILs.

Looks like I won't be getting a nursery ready for quite some time...

Gutted isn't the word.

Em39ma · 27/08/2019 16:15

@AngeloMysterioso oh know, you have been waiting for so long.
Hopefully you will find something soon.

YorkshireIndie · 27/08/2019 16:47

@AngeloMysterioso 🤬 at your sale falling through. The only positive is that you are in a better place when buying your next house. I am so sorry that your sale has fallen through

Frizzy1986 · 27/08/2019 17:11

Thanks everyone. You are right and I don't think dh really minds as he understands its the situation at the moment but I still feel bad.
We had a relaxing day at the beach today and then wandered to the fish market and purchased some prawns. No idea what type or anything as my French is very limited.
Going to cook them for tea which should be nice.

@AngeloMysterioso oh no! That sucks big time. Really feel for you but hopefully something better will be round the corner and it will be worthwhile in the end.

Welcome @Hannah9176 feel free to get anything and everything odd your chest. It's a nice release I find as even if dh tries to understand, he just can't.
