Wanted to start a thread for all the October mums to be if not as no one to talk to in the real world 🤞🏻

I am due 19th with a little boy and already have a DD(3)

Had a rough night last night! The dreams I keep having are just unbelievable wish DH would stop trying to kill me 😂 then DD gets me up as soon as I finally fall asleep again! 😴 DH's birthday today so its going to be a long one !!

Anyone else suffering from what they call "restless leg syndrome"? First time it happened to me last night, so uncomfortable! Kept tossing and turning!

If anyone is having a C-Section do NOT watch Episode 3 of the Emma Willis programme!! ⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️

Another one here with shitty sleep. I’m trying to fight off some kind of bug and I feel the reason it’s sticking around is because I don’t sleep for more than 1.5 hours at a time! I guess it’s good preparation?!

Could do without the leg cramps but no restless legs. Dog has been evicted from sleeping in the bed overnight (it was a hard choice between DH and dog 😂). I am having to get up more to wee in the night and really struggle with getting back to sleep.

So 3 hours later. Scan done, fluid has stayed the same.
So can now wait for my 36 weeks scan and will be given a birth plan then. If I get and slight reduced movement or the tightest of my bump gets to much, I can go in earlier.

Good luck to everyone having scans today, DS is finally back to school today I had a day of relaxing planned but instead ended up in town looking for an outfit 😂 friend has planned a surprise for me on Sunday and told me to wear something nice instead of my comfy trackies 😂 trying to find an outfit when u feel so heavy and fat proves difficult

Oh no @Em39ma, that sounds like a nightmare journey. I got caught in traffic after an accident this morning. All I could think was thank god I didn’t need to pee! Luckily, I got through after about 20 mins. The other side of the road was shut for ages. Such a shame for those involved.
Glad your scan was ok. My mate had the water thing too. Her bump was huge! But she got to full term ok with monitoring & her babies were fine. Hope you aren’t too uncomfortable.

Hope the donuts are good @Rememberallball! The biscoff ones are lush!

@SC0508 I’m So excited for school starting & some peace! Did you get an outfit? We have 2 wedding receptions to go to next month. I really need to sort something to wear, but keeping putting it off because I know nothing will look good at this stage.

Oh gosh @HJWT2! Is it a bad episode? I’m having a planned section!

Hope everyone’s had a good day. My sore throat from yesterday has mostly gone. Thank god! I though I was going to come down with a proper cold. Not sure I could’ve hacked it. Currently soaking in the bath watching my bump make the weirdest shapes!

Evening all. Apologies for not replying earlier today but it’s been hectic down here. Scan this morning was ok, both babies have gained weight (but smaller one fell behind bigger one again) unfortunately, when she did the growth measurements, the abdominal circumference measurement hasn’t really increased over the last 6 weeks and today’s blood flow doppler studies were at the lower end of acceptable. Therefore, I’ve been admitted and will have my c section tomorrow morning. I will be exactly 34 weeks and, they have estimated the weights of my babies to be 4lb 11oz (bigger twin) and 3lb 3oz (smaller one). They are not certain how much support either twin will need but it’s likely they will need fluids, feeding tubes and maybe even some breathing support - especially the smaller twin.

I had my first dose of steroids to mature their lungs just before 1pm so will have the second dose around 1am and then will be either 1st or 2nd on the list (this decision comes from the NICU team not the obstetricians depending on what they have happening on NICU first thing - especially as they will need 2 paediatric teams for my c section)

I have been given a single room on the antenatal wars for tonight’s and they have provided a reclining chair for my DH so he can stay with me (he doesn’t drive and, if he went home, he would struggle to get back to the hospital for 7am in the morning when I will be moved to triage unit ready to go to theatre.

Once we are safe and settled and know what is happening with the twins, we will come back and let you all know how we are (and will hopefully have some photos) xx

Oh and, because of all that going on, the donuts are still in the fridge at home - I’m hoping DH will bring them up on Friday (or buy me some more from town!!)

Oh gosh @Rememberallball. That must feel quite overwhelming. It sounds like you have a great team behind you to make sure the twins get the best care.

Sorry to hear this, but the Nicu teams are amazing, I’ve worked for one of the consultants at a hospital near me, I was there nanny for almost 4 years. They will take super care of all of you.
I hope everything goes well and look forward to your update.

Good luck! I really hope all goes well and please come back with an update. I'm another mum to be due October 7th I was on another October thread along with some of you that seemed to fizzle out and so would love to join this one as only just came across it! To update from other thread I have also had lots of problems and have been having two scans and monitorings a week since 20 weeks due to my baby being very small below the 5th centile. My last fetal med with the consultant showed that the baby is following the curve so is still growing enough to not induce yet however they have said they are likely to induce me by 37 weeks if all is well until that point!

@cattaxi Yes the episode was a bit traumatic with one of the emergency sections but all was fine in the end, I held my breath till the baby cried !! The planned section they did though looked like a walk in the park so relaxed!!
