@HJWT2 Ooooo I'll have to watch it tonight. Is it kinda like One born every minute?

Also - re: breach baby, i hope he'll turn around for you soon!!! My DD was a back-to-back baby and the labour was horrendous. So this is my worst nightmare... as i think at this point in time, DS is still back-to-back. I'm hoping he'll turn around too (fingers and toes crossed!)

HJWT · 18/08/2019 13:51

@umck2014 Its about Emma training to be a Maternity Care Assistant so you learn a lot watching it, like for example before a c-section they count every single tool and then again afterwards to make sure none have been lost inside the woman 😬 its nice to watch but very scary, made me realise what DH would of gone through when I had DD and hemorrhaged x

@secretlyhermione thrush is such a fucker! I had it a million times last pregnancy. I’m sure you can use a pessary, but not the oral tablet. Chemists are reluctant to give anything to a pregnant lady without prescription, so you might need one. In the end I just used to get it off the shelf in Asda to save mine & the gp’s time!

That Emma Willis thong sounds great @HJWT2 - thanks for the tip. I’m so excited to finish work & both older kids being back at school so I can get into some serious tv time!

Hope everyone’s had a good day? The teenager’s gone to her dads. So I took ds out for a lunch date & to watch some steam trains. I’m trying to get lots of quality time in with him before the baby comes. I’m feeling better after a sickly few days, so dh has suggested a take away tonight. Hopefully the Chineese won’t set my heartburn off! It woke me up loads last night.

userabcname · 18/08/2019 18:38

Thanks @Frizzy1986 and @cattaxi for the reassurance! No other symptoms so guessing all is fine!
Sounds like everyone is about where I am - aching and struggling to sleep. Buggered my back this weekend too by carrying 2yo DS through the supermarket while he tantrummed and refused to go in the trolley! What a (literal) pain!

homley · 18/08/2019 19:48

@secretlyhermione oh no! Gutted for you that your on such a downer after your holiday.

@HJWT2 I keep meaning to watch that, enjoy :)

@cattaxi what is on your watch list?

Currently living on my fit ball, so much easier than trying to get off the sofa.

secretlyhermione · 18/08/2019 20:13

@cattaxi yes it's quite miserable!! This is the first time I've gotten it this pregnancy am just praying when it finally goes that it doesn't come back!

cattaxi · 18/08/2019 21:38

@secretlyhermione I think taking a good probiotic (biokult) helped me get rid last time, along with the pessary.

@KatnissK ouch! I can barely lift our almost 4 year old now. I pray for no meltdowns every time we leave the house.

@homley I’m not sure yet. I’ve held off from watching the new series of big little lies. But other than that, my only plans are to watch loads of crap that dh wouldn’t be into! All recommendations welcome.

I’ve just had a lovely Chineese & May never be able to get up again!

HJWT · 19/08/2019 07:52

@KatnissK I know that feeling! Walked DD to the shop the other day thinking she would enjoy the walk and being out!! Half way home she sat on the floor and refused to move 🤯 will be so glad when the baby is here and I can put her on the buggy board 😂 xx

Anyone else getting BH. Mine have been coming and going since about 4am
There not painful, but making me very nauseous.

SC0508 · 19/08/2019 11:50

Anyone else counting down the hours until they can just curl up into bed? Today has been so difficult and it isn't even lunchtime yet 😟 ds who has asd has just been on a wild one today and always wanting my attention but today pregnancy has hit me hard and I can barely move with aches and pains! It sounds so bad to say but I am so grateful school goes back on Wednesday so I can get some time to myself to relax.

homley · 19/08/2019 13:20

@Em39ma I had a few last night and a few this morning but they seem to have settled down so not sure if it was because I was doing more than normal? How are you feeling now?

@SC0508 puts hand up been manic at work this morning, looking forward to getting into bed tonight. Hope your DS takes it easier on you this afternoon.

Em39ma · 19/08/2019 14:32

They are coming and going.
Taken another anti sickness tablet. Wondering if my water is going up again. My bump get really sore when it happens. I’ve got my next scan on Wednesday, so I’m sure they will let me know.

secretlyhermione · 19/08/2019 15:11

@cattaxi thanks for the tip! I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow for my 30 week scan so I'll see what he/she recommends as well. It's getting much better now thankfully, hopefully the worst is over!

@Em39ma I haven't had any BH yet. Baby does feel super low down though, I keep worrying that will mean early labour but just keeping positive, and as this is first baby, very unlikely that will happen!

HJWT · 19/08/2019 15:29

Just feel asleep on the sofa! 😂 DD woke me up and now I am craving donuts 😍

@secretlyhermione this is second pregnancy, but first to get this far. I miscarried at somewhere between 10/12. Weeks last time.
Been crashed out on the sofa for the last 2 hours, wish I could get that much in one go at night.
I’ve been getting some sort of BH since about 20 weeks. Just didn’t think they would cause the nausea too, but then I can feel sick for know reason sometimes.

YorkshireIndie · 19/08/2019 17:24

Seriously counting down the days until I finish. Just agreed with my manager that I will take my remaining 4 days AL and work a 4 day week until I finish.

Not had many BH recently and could do without the back pain down my right hand side. Going to see if DH can do the cooking tonight

secretlyhermione · 19/08/2019 17:29

@Em39ma really sorry to hear about your miscarriage :( do you know what you're having or keeping it a surprise?
First day back at work today and only one month left till mat leave kicks off! Getting real ladies!!

Em39ma · 19/08/2019 17:55

@Secretlyhermione I’m having a girl.
Just trying to get some energy up to make supper, fortunately quite an easy one tonight. Left over roast beef with bubble and squeak.
I think the puppy is realising I’m not myself, is being very clingy and naughty today. And I think she might be about to get her first season, this is why you should wait to get a puppy until after you have the baby.
To be honest, we didn’t know I was pregnant again until 2 weeks after we pick her up.

Frizzy1986 · 19/08/2019 18:24

@Em39ma I've been getting BHs for a few weeks now. On and off but just uncomfortable.
Last time round my BHs actually turned out to be the start of labour!
I feel that baby is quite low too but then I feel a possible movement where maybe its turned.
I have no clue how you tell what position its in so I go with where the hiccups seem to come from and that's it.
I have 2 days at work this week then I'm off until 2nd September and then I finish for mat leave on 6th Sept so only 7 working days left.
Can't bloody wait.
I'll be watching lots of crap from criminal minds, Riverdale, films on Now TV. All sorts.

With dd I finished on the Wednesday (36+5), on the Thursday my fil came round and redid the bathroom floor with dh, taking the only toilet in the house out of the floor (I got to wee in the garage in a bucket on a box) and I watched Xmas films on the sofa.
Then on the Friday I started to get quite uncomfortable with occasional BHs and my family arrived to help prepare the house (cleaned it beautifully)
On and off over the weekend. Then the Monday night it was very painful but not how I expected and I had dd on the Tuesday (37+4)
I'm finishing at 36+3 this time as its a Friday and it's silly to work part of the next week. I don't want to go past 37 in case it's the same as with dd.

HJWT · 19/08/2019 18:56

@Frizzy1986 wow hope mine comes at 37 weeks 😁 just after the weekend would be nice as plan on setting everything up and deep cleaning with DH that weekend whilst he moans and DD trashes her bedroom 😂😂😂

What do BH feel like? Didn't get any with DD x
