I’m having a rough few days too. Had my extra growth scan yesterday, as on the one 2 weeks ago the water was slightly high. Now it is way off the scale and my bump is very soar to the touch and bruised.
Measuring about 39 already, so bump is huge.
Had the GTT with the first scan, came back clear, but I had a reaction to the stuff they used.
Want to do another which they have agreed with isn’t a good idea, so after all afternoon at the hospital yesterday, back up at 9 this morning for a fasting blood test and then I’m going to be shown how to check my levels with the blood sugar monitor for the next week plus.
They are also now saying I may have to be taken in early and stay at the hospital until labour.
@AngeloMysterioso so I understand your stress.

HJWT2 · 07/08/2019 07:07

@umck2014 I know how you feel! Really struggling with DD she only went 2 mornings but it really helps break up the week! She is so bored at home and when I try and take her out for a bit I end up feeling sick with back pain after an hour 😂 poor child!!

My friend had the orange and really liked it for the built in board 😁

This pregnancy is defo different for me to! They say sex of the baby doesn't make a difference but is 100% does !

HJWT2 · 07/08/2019 07:12

@AngeloMysterioso FX for you hun! Hope baby calms down a bit for you! DS definitely kicks more in the night but luckily doesn't wake me up yet!

@Em39ma Oh gosh! That sounds super stressful 😞 hope it all calms down for you hun! xx

I had growth scan yesterday and he is 3 LB 5, he's put in 11 oz from last week! Have the midwife again this morning to check for glucose in my urine so if it shows up ill be having my 3rd GTT! 😫 I wouldn't mind but the hospital is an hour away & it cost £6 in parking every time I go, feel like I live there haha!

AngeloMysterioso · 07/08/2019 12:49

Colposcopy done and dusted... poor Dr had to use 3 different speculums (specula?) before he was able to get a good look so that was lovely, apparently I have a very short cervix... not quite sure what to make of that tbh! It was deeply unpleasant but I won't have to have another one until January. Now for the fun and games on Friday...

Has everyone had their whooping cough vaccine done?

YorkshireIndie · 07/08/2019 14:03

@AngeloMysterioso I know what you mean with comments like that: am I meant to be faltered? I had my whooping cough vaccine at 21 weeks. Arm hurt afterwards because of the tetanus and diphtheria in the vaccine

Just booked my antenatal classes. Nearly questioned why it was important when I saw the price 😱😱

Em39ma · 07/08/2019 14:36

I now have a blood sugar machine and all the bits to go with it.
Have to test 6 times a day and all the info goes into an app, which I can send through in a week.
I’ve not had the whooping cough jab, as hospital are to scare to give it to me ( I have a lot of allergies)

HJWT2 · 07/08/2019 15:36

@AngeloMysterioso yes iv had it a while back ☺️

@YorkshireIndie what do you do at those iv never been to one 😂

@Em39ma An app? For diabetes! bloody hell we are with the times aren't we! Crazy xx

YorkshireIndie · 07/08/2019 15:51

@HJWT2 eat cake probably 😂

Baby has been sat on my right hand side today. Could do without the backache but I think that is more the spending the day sat down and my stomach feeling heavy

AngeloMysterioso · 07/08/2019 16:21

Em39ma think I’ll be getting one of those one Friday. Joy of joys! Which app are you using? My
MW told me to download AgaMatrix, is is that one?
I’ve got the WC vaccine tomorrow totally forgot to book it before this week

Em39ma · 07/08/2019 16:28

@Angelomysterioso yes got the AgaMatrix app.
Only done breakfast and lunch so far and each time 4.4 before eating and 7.0 and 5.6 after eating, so well within normal range.
@Hjwt2 it is all very high tech. Does make it a lot easy to send the info through.

HJWT2 · 07/08/2019 16:32

@Em39ma I know sounds fab! I remember writing it in tiny box's in my book 🤣 xx

userabcname · 07/08/2019 16:36

I've had the WC vaccine - they give it at the 20w scan at my hospital now which is nice as it saves on having to make a separate appt. I had the GTT last week but it came back ok yet I had 3+ glucose in my urine even though I hadn't eaten since about 7pm the night before..? Really hope I don't have to repeat the test as it was so long-winded and I felt all faint from not eating for so long (and no one could get blood from me very easily - it took 3 people half an hour each time!!!). I'm trying to low carb and have been reading up on low GI foods which I've been trying this week in the hopes my urine will be clear at my next appt.
Other than that I feel as though my bump has suddenly grown enormous in the last 48 hours - really feeling it now and a lot tireder/more emotional. The third trimester has well and truly hit me I think as I've been feeling ok up til now!

AngeloMysterioso · 07/08/2019 20:19

Tell you what, I have the best DH.

Came home today to find a big old parcel with my name on it... he only went and bought me a lovely pregnancy pillow! He said he got it as he knew I’d been struggling and wanted to surprise me Smile I’m the luckiest.

SRK16 · 07/08/2019 21:30

Are any of you struggling with fatigue at the moment? I’m nearly 32 weeks and for the last week or so I’ve been shattered every day by lunch. The afternoons and evening just DRAG until I can go to bed. Then obv I wake up at least every 2 hours to wee or because my hips hurt 🙄
I’m anemic so thought that may be impacting, but the tiredness is ridiculous! Can’t wait to finish work.

Frizzy1986 · 07/08/2019 22:14

I'm tired too. But hate feeling like a waste of space so keep doing stupid things like building a double bed (it was ikea so was like 8 screws and 10 mins effort). Then I pay for it overnight with my hips or can't get comfortable for the whole evening.
I've amazed myself that I've had some nights where I haven't needed to wee once, but I still wake up due to horrific pain when turning over.
It's all starting to get real now and hoping to start washing some baby clothes ready over the weekend. I like to feel prepared as dd arrived at 37+4 and although I doubt it'll be the same this time it just feels very close now I'm 32 weeks.
Work is a bummer and so boring. I started a new job last year and it hasn't panned out how it was supposed to (hence why we decided to have another baby now) but I just spend every day doing such monotonous work that I didn't really sign up for. Only 4 weeks and 2 days left though and I'm on holiday for 7 of those ☺
Anyone else suffering from acid reflux ish stuff. I'm getting a weird discomfort in my throat and weird taste/sensation there. I only assumes that what it is and it tends to occur at bed time lying down. It's rubbish.
Also getting quite a few braxton hicks which is a pain and dentist tomorrow when I can show off my slightly bleeding gums 😔

Beeseeinya · 08/08/2019 00:16

I am truly pathetically exhausted right now. All I have to do is 20 minutes of tidying up and half make the bed and I'm in a state of collapse. DP then comes to finish it for me and tuck me in with my sausage pillow. Just lying here unable to move or think. Bet I'm still awake in 2 hours then wake up after 3 hours sleep Sad

I had whooping cough vaccine about 3 weeks ago and it didn't hurt at all, I also didn't get a sore arm, not even a little bit! I guess I deserve some kind of break after all the other painful parts to this process!

HJWT2 · 08/08/2019 09:24

Iv woke up today fed up to! DS stuck his leg right out my side yesterday I actually screamed out in pain 🤣 have a sore throat & headache today, at least the 10 week countdown is about to begin 🥵 xx

2018isanewyear · 08/08/2019 10:38

Anyone find that baby's movements are less like
Kicks and more like rolls/turns, I still get plenty so wouldn't say I'm concerned and do still get kicks just seems to have shifted to rolling round now and then, sticking a bum/limb out for half hour then moving to another position and repeat through the day.

Not sure if this is normal?

2018isanewyear · 08/08/2019 10:38

Ah I'm
30+4 by the way

YorkshireIndie · 08/08/2019 11:41

My desire to work is reducing and I am counting down the days till I finish. I am finding it hard to sit especially in the evening. Baby was in an awkward place under my ribs last night and the only way to get comfy was to stand which then my hips start hurting after a while 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know what you mean about movements. Feel like baby is on a mission when it is on the move

Sw2102 · 08/08/2019 13:10

Yes coping with a toddler in the heat whilst this pregnant is proving hard work. I am dealing with it by running off to my parents whenever I can in the week and DH takes over at the weekend. Hip and back pain have stepped up a gear in the last week or so too which adds to the fun. Ordered our double pram.. went for the silver cross coast. Did like the icandy Orange when I tried it though as well. Tested as many as possible! Think my DD is too young for a board just yet though so will cross that bridge in the next year or so. There is one that goes with the coast though. Feel like on one hand 9 weeks to go is ages but then it is also nothing?! Need to think about getting things a bit more organised soon..if I can work up the energy. I definitely was almost all sorted at this point with DD though and this time round I have barely started.

SunshineSophia · 08/08/2019 13:51

@2018isanewyear yes! My baby rolls around more than kicking/elbowing me. It's so weird watching the bump roll across my tummy

I'm also finding some of baby's movements painful - not sure if s/he has elbows of steel, but it feels like they're scratching me from the inside Confused anyone else experienced something similar?

I'm due back at work tomorrow after 4 weeks signed off with fatigue - mentally ready for work but physically?? Whoo boy, not looking forward to the commute ☹

Frizzy1986 · 08/08/2019 21:51

I get phases of rolling and phases of kicking/punching. I can never tell what body part it is and can't only figure out what way baby is when the hiccups start.
I get a lot of moments where it seems baby is pushing up to the outside of my tummy which is quite uncomfortable.

Positivity86 · 08/08/2019 22:28

@2018isanewyear yes, another one here where baby movements are more like rolls/turns now...like big thuds from the inside rather than little kicks!

YorkshireIndie · 09/08/2019 10:35

Wish it would stop kicking my ribs...
