@mumof23188 it's awful! And it's just been relentless over the last few weeks. I'm just looking forward to meeting baby now and hopefully feeling a bit more 'normal'!!!

MyloC · 14/07/2019 12:59

@mumof23188 I'm feeling fine just a bit fed up and looking forward to meeting my baby now. How are you? I see you have been in for reduced movements. I went in a few weeks ago twice! Movements definitely picked up in the last 2 weeks though baby definitely has no pattern makes me nervous!

mumof23188 · 14/07/2019 13:04

@AnnieCat84 yes the heat has not helped. I finished work last week so I’m looking forward to being able to put my feet up a bit more. It’s an awful feeling isn’t it? Feels like you’re going to burst. I’ve been sleeping with a pillow under my feet To elevate them a bit more. It’s helped! I’m with you on looking forward to meeting baby and feeling more normal!

mumof23188 · 14/07/2019 13:21

@MyloC glad you are feeling well. I’m fine too but like you very ready to meet baby now. Yes I’ve been in for monitoring the last couple of days which was such a worry. His movements completely changed and he was so quiet. He’s been regular throughout so was a very worrying time. Feeling better today and movements have picked up a bit. Ah I bet that is a worry for you. Glad movements have picked up. Do you know what you are having?

MyloC · 14/07/2019 13:32

@mumof23188 Glad movements have picked up again for you. I think it could be baby's way of preparing us for the worry for the rest of our life. We are having a boy but still not 100% certain on names. We have a short list so hoping when we meet him one of them suits him. What about you do you know what you're having?

mumof23188 · 14/07/2019 14:00

@MyloC Yes nothing prepares you for the worry. It really is relentless worrying because you love them so much. Is this your first DC? I have a 7 year old DD who is so excited to be a big sister. Ah we are having a boy too. Like you we have a shortlist so waiting to see what he looks like when he’s born.

AnnieCat84 · 14/07/2019 14:27

@mumof23188 it does! My hands are the worst... carpal tunnel in both and have numb, tingly fingers which I can't get rid of.

It's a nice feeling to finish work isn't it!! When's your actual due date? Have you had many signs yet?

mumof23188 · 14/07/2019 14:51

@AnnieCat84 god that sounds horrendous. Is it something that disappears after baby is born? It’s amazing to finish! My due date is the 24th, when’s yours? I’ve been losing bits of show since last Tuesday, been crampy and had days where I’ve had contractions which just filter away to nothing. How about you?

Helsvamp · 14/07/2019 14:59

Mine was due 11th June still no baby. Other people having there's before me like a week or 2 early so annoying

Hi!!! almost 40 weeks here x

AnnieCat84 · 14/07/2019 15:27

@mumof23188 I've read that is goes away after giving birth! I bloody hope so as it's driving me mad.

Due on 21st! I've had lots of cramps and back pain. Woken up in the night a few times in pain too. No show or anything yet! I'm just glad to be off work now with feet up and not doing a lot.

AnnieCat84 · 14/07/2019 15:28

@Helsvamp 11th June or July!? Any signs?

Helsvamp · 14/07/2019 15:32

Sorry I mean July . June 11 was my birthday lol

rach2019 · 14/07/2019 19:33

My contractions ramped up at like 12, he was born at 10am :) only 6lbs at 39 weeks. I'm utterly in love and i can't stop staring at him :) Hope it goes well for you guys, its all worth it in the end

kittlesticks · 14/07/2019 20:01

Huge congrats @rach2019 Smile

Hellosunshine30 · 14/07/2019 20:13

Congrats!

I'm due on the 28th and I am soooo over being pregnant lol. Had no show or anything like that. Had the "daggers" down below a few times and apparently baby is 3/5 engaged. To get a sweep next week. Suffering with the swollen hands too and baby has reduced movements today. Have picked up tonight. I don't know if it's in my head or not. I always seem to scare myself by reading still birth articles etc and the next day I don't seem to feel baby move. So worrying.

@Helsvamp feeling for you. You must just be totally fed up now. Hope you go soon

Helsvamp · 14/07/2019 20:21

@Hellosunshine30 yes just sitting about waiting . Been doing lots of walking . But since hit 40weeks pelvic hurts so much less energy. So having naps when I can

Now 6 days overdue. Feel like body can't go into labour on its own. First DC was induced and took 4 days to arrive. Oh Christ.

MyloC · 14/07/2019 22:45

@mumof23188 Yeah it's my first 😊 that's so exciting for your DD and hopefully a good help for you with baby.

Anyone who has children how did your labour start? Was it just random or were there lots of signs beforehand?

Mrsmummy90 · 14/07/2019 23:27

Thought I'd ton into labour last night but was a false alarm.
38+2 now and utterly fed up. I'm genuinely terrified of going over as don't know how much longer I can cope 🙈

mumof23188 · 14/07/2019 23:35

@MyloC ahh lovely ☺️. Yes she’s looking forward to helping with the baby and said she will even change some nappies 😂.

With my first I just started having contractions, really irregular and mild at first but as time went on they got regular and more painful. Then my waters went at 1-2cms dilated. No signs beforehand that I can remember.

Hellosunshine30 · 15/07/2019 07:55

Ugh, genuinely thought last night was the night. Didn't sleep a wi k, had to go for a BM at 4am this morning (tmi) had mild cramping but wasn't sure if it was because I needed toilet. Had lower back. Pain too but that was probably my PGP. This morning whilst lying in bed, I have mild cramping but I think I'm just over thinking everything. I've never been someone to. Have period pains so now I'm u sure of what they feel like lol

ememem84 · 15/07/2019 11:56

38 weeks today. First day of maternity leave.

Just waiting. Pottering around the house cleaning etc.

Dm is coming to help blitz the house on Wednesday so it’s nice and shiny. she’s the best.

Im hoping things get going sooner rather than later. Im bored of this now. I just want to feel normal again. And be able to pick Ds up without hurting myself. He’s 22 months and around 14kg. Last night we didn’t get much sleep. He had a high temp so I had him on bed with me (dh slept in the spare room). Ds slept. But I stayed awake for ages panicking. He seems ok now. Has gone to dparents for the day. All he wants is cuddles poor baby.

Was saying to dh that although we’ll have two to run about after once this one arrives I’ll be more capable of actually running around!

Helsvamp · 15/07/2019 18:11

Another day I feel like hitting the roof
