Hi, I'm just about to send off the forms and wondered how long it will take to come through - anybody had any experience with this?

Cheers in advance

hayley2u · 22/07/2007 16:09

sorry you had already said you about to send them silly me x

PurpleLostPrincess · 22/07/2007 16:13

LOL! Yes, have posted them today so I guess it will hit their desks in the next day or so, depending on the post etc... It didn't ask me to put evidence of my WFTC in there but I have anyway - hope they send them back!

We're so desperate for money at the mo (long story) so its such a relief to know that we won't be waiting around for this one!

Should I be worried!? It's been nearly two weeks and I haven't heard anything - not even a letter to say yes or no or to acknowledge my application!?

Have tried looking for a phone number but can't find anything - would this fall under DWP?

JoMa · 03/08/2007 23:09

i'd say it's just because of the strikes, you might well find the money goes in before you get the letter!

PurpleLostPrincess · 06/08/2007 13:28

Update: Have received my WFTC award letters back (sent them as proof) but nothing in there with them and nothing in the bank yet.

Will let you know when it comes through!

Further update: Just rang around and got a phone number for the correct office... eventually got through and its due to credit my account on the 8th which is this Wednesday - yay!!!!!!

(just thought I'd post in case anybody else is having delays etc to give them hope - let me know if you need the phone numbers!).

slong1993 · 29/10/2014 15:25

Did you get number

blackwidow74 · 29/10/2014 19:47

I didn't think this grant was being given any more

Patrickstarisabadbellend · 29/10/2014 19:48

I thought it had been abolished too

Arkkorox · 29/10/2014 22:36

I'm about to send my form off for it so I hope not!

bloated1977 · 29/10/2014 23:25

Its not being given any more. If you need a grant for a pram how are you going to afford to look after a baby Hmm

Wolfiefan · 29/10/2014 23:29

Old thread

Lgovey2014 · 02/11/2014 17:37

It is still being given. The maternity grant that your only allowed once of £500. I sent mine off a few weeks ago & I received it so don't know where people got that they weren't giving it out no more

Augustwedding · 02/11/2014 17:46

It is still running. Called sure start maternity grant.

Dannidg95 · 28/11/2014 15:54

This comment really annoyed me, baby stuff is ridiculously expensive if someone wants the grant for help to buy stuff there is nothing wrong with it, doesn't mean they can't afford the baby, stuck up prune.

lgreene94 · 12/01/2015 20:29

I'm just wondering about applying for the grant and I've read mixed messages everywhere. I'm just wondering if you work full time can you still apply for it? And has anybody who works full time experienced receiving this grant please? Thanks

SoonToBeSix · 12/01/2015 20:36

Igreene if you get child tax credits above the family rate ( approve £545 a year) them yes you qualify. If it's your first baby.

bexiboo12 · 08/11/2015 11:59

Hey guys i sent my form off on the 2nd woundeting whrn i should hear something back

Icklepickle101 · 08/11/2015 12:16

The eligibility has confused me, how do I know if I'm entitled to child tax credits if I haven't had the baby yet?
