Live birth feed tomorrow

I'm 38+5 and being induced tomorrow!! I know people on here appreciate a live birth feed. I suffer from severe SPD and polyhydremones and I'm currently measuring at 47 weeks. I seen consultant yesterday who thought best to give me a sweep to try help move things along before tomorrow and I've had a bit of bleeding today. Baby has an estimated weight of 10lbs alreadyShock!! I'm terrified, nervous and excited!

Anyone else suffered from these things and been induced a little early and have any advice?

This is my second baby but first was 6 years ago so feel so new to this!! Dd was 9lbs 8oz so generally breed big babies!

Encouraging posts are welcome lol!!

@Leigh92 Good luck!! Im 25 weeks with no.2 and also have a 6 year gap since DS. He was 9lb 9oz 55cm!! I'm concerned how big this one will get. But getting growth scans from next week so at least can keep an eye on it.

Did you have growth scans?

My sis in law was induced 12 days early with an estimated 7lb 5 baby. She went in at 7.30am had pessary contractions at lunch time he was born 8.30pm 8lb 12!

You can do this.

Leigh92 · 14/12/2018 10:35

I was always measuring a few weeks bigger bit they weren't concerned until my 36 week appointment I was measuring 4 weeks bigger so I was sent for a scan the following day and that's when they noticed the polyhydremones and yesterday I had another scan and it's now severe measuring 8-9 weeks bigger so consultant just booked me in yesterday for tomorrow!

It's not much fun breeding big babies😅.
How's your pregnancy been so far?

@Leigh92 been doing great. But also with the pelvic pain now more on right hip and tailbone pain than at the front. Really struggling sitting at work. Working at home I can manage it not getting so painful but not sure how to manage at work the next 3 months.

I may contact OHS try getting a better chair at least!

How have you managed at work with SPD?

Leigh92 · 14/12/2018 12:04

It's sucks big time, I'm a barmaid and full time student so I really struggled, I was probably doing too much in all honesty. I finished up at work at 35 weeks as I was on my feet constantly and it was killing me! I finished up with my studies at the same time and will be able to take off where I left next year! Although since stopping work and studying I feel as though it all got worse but it's maybe cause I had more time to focus on the pain, the lower back is worst for me aswell! Are you trying things such as pillow between the knees, support belt?

Ooo following hope all goes well for you! And if they are right you're going to have a beast haha xx

Leigh92 · 14/12/2018 12:23

I know haha! I'm hoping he's not any bigger than my previous, she was a forceps delivery due to her size and that was horrific!

Good luck for tomorrow! Bet after all that they’re a little 7 pounder!

Ive had 3 big babies, can’t beat their chubby thighs 😁

Leigh92 · 14/12/2018 18:34

Thanks everyone! Nerves are well and truly setting in. Spent the whole day organising the house and now I've a minute to myself to actually think!

Hopefully this time tomorrow I'll have had my boy, all 10lbs of him lol!

Congrats. Currently not pregnant, experiencing fertility issues but love seeing others positive story's. Good luck :)

PenApple · 14/12/2018 20:01

Take plenty snacks and a pack of cards etc, I was told to go in for 10am, the pessary went in at 10.30pm as was a busy day apparently!

Babyno2mamabear · 14/12/2018 20:05

How exciting! You're in the best hands. Good luck xxx

Leigh92 · 14/12/2018 21:33

Thank you all! I'm scheduled to go in for 11am for pessary, I've lost a fair bit of mucus plug since having sweep at 5pm yesterday so hopefully they just give me it and it moves things along quite quicklyGrin

Hope things are progressing and going well for you! X

Leigh92 · 15/12/2018 13:56

Currently hooked up to monitors, haven't had the pessary yet just tracing his heartbeat at the moment, said for another 10 minutes then hopefully get it then and get things moving. I barely slept a wink last night and am already so tired

Hope everything is going ok Flowers

Worieddd · 15/12/2018 19:49

How are you?

SleepWarrior · 15/12/2018 20:00

Guessing the silence means things have moved along somewhat and mumsnet has dropped off the priority list! Hope all is going well Flowers

Leigh92 · 15/12/2018 20:37

Sorry ladies! Nothing much happening. Pessary went in at 3pm and still nothing. Anybody else had a pessary before able to tell me their experience with it how long it took to take effect. Midewife is saying I could be here for a further 48 hours and the thought is just killing me!

OP posts:
SleepWarrior · 15/12/2018 20:44

Oh no, that's ages of sitting and waiting!

Sadly no experience of pessaries here. Realistically, you WILL be having your baby very soon, it's just that time slows down to a painful pace at the end, especially if you're waiting for something to work. I do remember having to remind myself of that over and over!

Do you have anything to do to kill the time?
