Congratulations @Liz3891!
How have your first few days with your new family member gone? Can't wait to have a baby instead of a bump now, longest wait ever!

orangejuicer · 13/11/2018 04:56

Morning all, just checking in with the might crew.
Congrats Liz3891 glad all went ok the end Flowers

orangejuicer · 13/11/2018 04:56

Ugh typing.

Melaniesunflower · 13/11/2018 08:58

Congratulations @Liz3891

hammeringinmyhead · 13/11/2018 12:55

@Liz3891 Very similar to my experience! At least it was quick and efficient!

orangejuicer · 14/11/2018 11:29

So anybody got any updates? I have a week til my ELCS, the time has flown by.

I've been wondering what to do re sleeping arrangements, i.e. moses basket upstairs, pram/carrycot downstairs? I know it's not something I can plan for particularly but wondered what others were thinking of doing?

Kt08x · 14/11/2018 12:16

I had a sweep yesterday (due date) said she could feel babies head and was 1cm dilated but I know that's not really anything to go by 😂
Induction booked for 20th (41weeks) so fingers crossed it happens naturally before then x

Melaniesunflower · 14/11/2018 12:17

@orangejuicer I was planning Moses basket upstairs and either pram or baby box down stairs.

Kt08x · 14/11/2018 13:13

@orangejuicer I've got a Moses basket downstairs and a cozee bedside cot upstairs. I was just going to use the carrycot from my pram downstairs as it's suitable for lengthy sleeping but got a bargain Moses basket x

I’m totally unsure of whether I just lost my mucus plug or part of it or not at all!

(This paragraph is TMI!) I went to have a wee and when I.. er pushed the wee out, something kind of popped and I felt something come out and literally fly out down the toilet at the speed of light and splashed. I carried on with my wee and then got up to inspect the toilet to see what it was but there was nothing obvious there and yesterday I happened to put on of those blue tablets in the cistern so the water was a really dark blue with lots of bubbles, so couldn’t really see.

Does that sound like mucus plug or did I just totally imagine that whole thing?!

Stargirl90 · 14/11/2018 15:39

I have got a crib for upstairs and a travel cot for downstairs, also the pram carrycot is safe for day sleeping

GreenGooner · 14/11/2018 16:00

@Pigeoncat could it have been your waters? Just a guess but with you saying you heard a pop...

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 14/11/2018 16:20

@PigeonCat I don't really know. But sounds plausible! I've been losing my mucus plug for the last 24 hours in little bits, and some people don't notice losing theirs at all- everyone is different!

I've been having period cramps low down since I started losing my plug yesterday with gradually increasing force. Have you had any other signs yet?

rhuzzle89 · 14/11/2018 19:02

Hi just marking my place - 37+2 - getting scan tomorrow for ?breech so will see! Congrats @liz3891!

Italianshark · 14/11/2018 20:48

@Pigeoncat I've been losing mine since Monday. It was kinda 'hanging' out of me, not shooting out like a bullet lol! It's like a big stringy, sluggy bit of snot 🤢😂 sorry for the TMI! I guess it could fly out? Although I couldn't imagine what came out of me doing that and plopping in the water 🤷🏻‍♀️. I guess you'll never know xx

GraceH24 · 16/11/2018 05:20

Anyone else struggling to sleep?? I'm less than a week away now and am finding myself so excited/nervous for labour that I'm awake ALL NIGHT LONG Hmm surely my body should be making the most of sleeping whilst I can.

orangejuicer · 16/11/2018 05:38

I'm assuming we're being prepared for a disrupted sleep pattern Grin

GraceH24 · 16/11/2018 05:44

Brilliant 😂 if I'd known this would happen I would have spent the second trimester sleeping 24/7 haha

Becky122 · 17/11/2018 10:08

Hello everyone, I am due on the 20th Nov, so 39+4. Don't know if boy or girl, looking forward to finding out. Wanting baby to make appearance now as my consultant has booked me in for an induction day after due date and really not keen, might ask to postpone it, however do want baby here so in 2 minds.

orangejuicer · 18/11/2018 16:35

Welcome Becky Cake

Anybody got any updates? Only 3 sleeps to go til ELCS Confused

TryingToStayRational · 18/11/2018 17:03

FTM aged 36. Our little girl is due on 27th Nov. Declined induction this week (IVF baby but no other issues) and will prob decline 39 week sweep as well. Feeling fine, head not engaged at all, growth scans all on track and would rather give it some more time. Consultant appt at 40+1 when will be offered examination, sweep and then induction at 41. Gonna see how I feel by then. Would prefer to have a water birth if I can but will just have to see.

rhuzzle89 · 18/11/2018 19:02

Hey orangejuicer, will be keen to hear how it goes. Found out earlier this week that LO is breech and have chosen to go straight for ELCS in 12 days time....

Trixie101 · 19/11/2018 08:36

Hey everyone anymore babies??? Im currently 38+3 and have been in early stages of labour since thursday morning 😒😒 so fed up now got high bp too but not preeclampsia but got the midwife this morn and if bp is still high they are talking about inducing dont know how i feel about that but fed up with the fact early labour isnt ramping up and the fact dp is working 3 hrs from home this week even though he asked his boss to place him closer so heres to hoping my waters dont go whilst hes at work or something 😂😂

EL332 · 19/11/2018 13:39

@Trixie101 how did you get on at the midwife? X

JonSnowsManBun · 19/11/2018 13:48

Hi all, I was on the first thread under a previous username but not been around on these boards in a while! 38+2, DD 1st December. Just trying to relax and be patient at the moment, will probably have a sweep at 40 weeks but I really want to avoid an induction.

Planning a home birth too, is anyone else planing one?
