My sisters just phoned me and said (30 wks) that she thinks she's wet herself. We know that her waters have possibly broken and I'm taking her to the hospital in an hour. My question is this. The midwives have told her that if the waters have broken they could give her antibiotics to delay labour for a few days. NOW the exact same thing happened to me and after 24hrs they said they shouldn't have been delaying labour because of the risk of infection after the waters breaking. I want to go into the hospital knowing my facts so do any of you have any experience of this?

Thats good to hear, seems like we're forever waiting for that stage where they pile on the pounds! He also has a hole in the heart but we've been told thats pretty standard for premies. My dd1 has the same but it was gone by her 8mth check. I will update the pic now that he's almost 4 wks old, just need to remember to put the digital camera in my bag!
