Wonder if you could give some advice to a confused first time mum-to-be!

I would like to have a comfy sling to wear around the house so I can have baby close, I hope to breastfeed so would like one that is good for this too.
I would also like a carrier for going out and about with.

I suffer from lower back pain so need to make sure it's something that won't strain me too much. I have looked at the Baby Bjorn Active, but this doesn't really look like it would be good for around the home.

Is there one sling/carrier that will tick all these boxes or should I look at 2 different carriers - one for at home and one for going out? I'm really confused to all the different types - the ones that go over one shoulder look uncomfortable.

What would your recommendations be?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all the answers on hot weather on Firday - I just got them and appreciate the advice/ I am taking my baby home to Queensland when four to six months old and have been concerned that her tolerance of that kind of weather will be as bad as mine is - even being born in a British summer.

I swear by Didymos slings one of my best friends whose husband is an ostepath in Switzerland sent me mine for DS2 and I wish i had it for DS1 i bought loads of slings with DS1 and found them all awkward never got on with them at all but my didymos was fab I even used it when DS was 2 and i am very slight and have always suffered with my back , i really can't praise this sling enough - the only problem i had was getting instructions in English if anyone has them i would love a copy!! Good luck x

( Didymos make great hammocks for your little ones to play with later on)
