needing reassurance and nice words desperately Sad
been feeling a little off recently, swelling and light headed so went to the nurse at the GP to get blood pressure took.
blood pressure sky high, protein in urine and sent off the the hospital in an ambulance with blue lights
turns out I have pre eclampsia
obviously if things don't work to try and get it monitored baby will need to come early
I'm only 30 weeks SadSad
absolutely nothing wrong with baby, it's my stupid body betraying me
I hate hospitals, they make me so anxious, blue lighted in the ambulance was awful, so many needles stuck into me
I know babies come early all the time and they are fine, but this just wasn't the plan, I wanted her in there as long as possible Sad
making a real effort not to cry as what difference does it make!

Ahh OP congratulations. My DS was born in very similar circumstances. Preeclampsia detected, DS born a few days later by section at 31 weeks weighing 3lb6. He spent five weeks in hospital and is now nearly 5 years old and fine. Scbu and/or Nicu are a rollercoaster so just wanted to give you a positive story to go by. Hope the next few days and weeks go smoothly for you and baby.

DancingLedge · 29/05/2017 17:22

Congratulations, hope you're both doing well xx

willothewisp17 · 31/05/2017 20:30

doing very well! obviously a lot of things going on with her but it all changes daily, and it's all a bit overwhelming! but she's very strong, actually pushed my hand away today when I was trying to move it away from her face for a picture!
going to be a long road and I just want to take her home right now but all the things to come are just going to be magical!
I'm still very sore and tired, not sure whether I'm more emotionally tired or physically, it's been a very very long week.
also enjoying the wonders of breastfeeding, something there was no way I was even considering, but she just can't have formula, so this is best for her and I'd do anything for her 💖

Awww Willo - she's gorgeous. xx

Take it as easy as you can - you have had a massive operation and PE will hit you hard too... If my experience if anything to go by you will feel much better in another couple of days. x

DancingLedge · 31/05/2017 21:32

Hi willo Thanks for updating us.
Willow looks so gorgeous. And more like a baby than some tinies in NICU look, iykwIm.

I imagine overwhelming is almost an understatement. So much going on. I'm SO pleased you're both bearing up, let's hope things just get better. Must be extra tough when you've just had section.

Will be thinking of you both.FlowersFlowersFlowers

HaggisMuncher · 31/05/2017 21:39

Just read your thread and wanted to say congratulations. She's absolutely gorgeous and sounds like a wee fighter. I had PE late in pregnancy with my ds and am currently pregnant with no 2 and a bit concerned about a possible recurrence so it's super to hear how well you are both doing. The love you have for your wee girl is shining through! Hope she continues to improve and your recovery goes well. Enjoy getting to know her xxx

Starfairylights · 31/05/2017 21:50

Well done on the feeding- its liquid gold for your little lady Smile

Signoritawhocansway · 04/06/2017 22:35

Congratulations, she's lovely. I breastfed my 27 weeker exclusively for 9 months, then carried on until 13 months. Pumping can be hard work, and so can introducing breast once she's mastered suck breathe swallow, but it really is wonderful if you can manage it.x.

willothewisp17 · 07/06/2017 20:11
