needing reassurance and nice words desperately Sad
been feeling a little off recently, swelling and light headed so went to the nurse at the GP to get blood pressure took.
blood pressure sky high, protein in urine and sent off the the hospital in an ambulance with blue lights
turns out I have pre eclampsia
obviously if things don't work to try and get it monitored baby will need to come early
I'm only 30 weeks SadSad
absolutely nothing wrong with baby, it's my stupid body betraying me
I hate hospitals, they make me so anxious, blue lighted in the ambulance was awful, so many needles stuck into me
I know babies come early all the time and they are fine, but this just wasn't the plan, I wanted her in there as long as possible Sad
making a real effort not to cry as what difference does it make!

Good luck Willo you will meet your beautiful baby tomorrow; small but perfect and the two of you will be safe

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 27/05/2017 22:31

Good luck tomorrow willothewisp. I had HELLP (basically a variety of PE) at 38 weeks and had a section on the day it was diagnosed. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I recovered from the section and at how much better I felt once the baby was out, I hadn't realised how awful I was feeling. Hope you and baby are fine x

bruffin · 27/05/2017 22:35

I went into hospital at 32 weeks with pre eclampsia, stayed there until i was induced at 38 weeks when bp went sky high and protein.
He is 21 now and lovely.

I'm a NICU nurse and can fully understand what you are feeling. Your Drs have kept your little one inside for a long as is possible, but now you must come first before you become seriously ill...the only way to resolve is to deliver, and at your gestation your baby has a fab chance of being just fine. She may need a little help with breathing support but mostly feeding, try and get expressing if you plan to breast feed,as soon as you can. Visit her as soon as you can,she is your baby! Hope all goes well for you,try and stay calm and positive

My first baby had to stay in intensive care for 5 weeks. Wasn't expected to survive. He is currently 17, passed 10 GCSEs last summer and is at a party tonight. Yours is in the best possible hands. Sending love and prayers xxx
