Try being a teacher. Nearly every name you think of reminds you of some particularly obnoxious pupil at some point.

Found it very difficult to name dd.

I think boys names are so hard to choose because I think most of them are crap! Glad this baby's gonna be a girl cause if it had been a boy I think it's name would have been 'baby boy *', and it would end up staying that. I dislike all but 3 or 4 boys names from the top 100 lists. And 2 of them I wouldn't use as they are biblical names and I'm a complete athiest - so it'd feel a bit wierd and hypocrytical to use one.

The only name that would have been a certain for a boy would have been James - but only as a middle name and only because it was my papa's name and he died when my mum was very young. Not overly keen on the name itself but would have used it as a middle name as I thought it'd be nice to do so, with it being a family name, respectful etc.

Little boys are fab and I wouldn't have minded an ounce if this baby was a boy, but choosing a name would have been so difficult. So in that respect I'm grateful it's a girl!
