I love Alfie, but then I have one, so I guess I would!
Also like Harry, Oscar, Theo, Sebastian, Seth, George, William & Luca.

danceswithnewboots · 27/02/2007 17:48

William would have been ds if we hadn't gone with what it is.
I like Edward and Kit (for Christopher) too.

cupcakesgalore · 27/02/2007 20:14

Tricky isn't it. We're on our 4th and have used up our favourite girls names on our 2 DDs and for boys ...Ilike Kit (DH doesn't), Benedict, Barney (Barnaby) and Tristan (wondering if it's a little bit / large bit poncey). Girls - not a clue.

toadstool · 28/02/2007 10:31

Not keen on Tristan (which means "sad", enough to put me off) though I knew a couple of very handsome Tristans at uni! I liked Felix, DH stopped that one. My brother has just announced that if their baby is a boy it will be called Rupert

gegs73 · 28/02/2007 10:56

I am having a boy and the only names me/DH can agree on are:

William (Will)
Nathan

That is it! We had loads of girls names.

Taichimum · 28/02/2007 12:33

I love Luca but every time I mention it my dh says 'my name is Luca, I live on the second floor.'
Currently thinking of Joe. DH and I cannot agree on a single other name.

KathyMCMLXXII · 28/02/2007 12:39

Ooh, you've got me whistling it now, Taichimum.
DH and I never managed to find a name we both liked for ds, but we found a name we were both happy to compromise on. It's growing on me now, of course, because my ds is so utterly utterly gorgeous.

pulapula · 28/02/2007 13:28

I agree that boys names are harder.

When pg first time we had only one boy's name (Ben) and a shortlist of 5 girls names- we had a DD and agreed on Katie Louise.

We are 22 weeks pg and having a boy, and I tried to think of more boys names, but we have decided on Ben again! Probably will be Benjamin Paul (Paul is DHs middle name).

Other names we considered were Freddie, Samuel, William, Adam, and Daniel. I also liked Max and Zack but DH didn't.

Names I like but had to rule out were Joe but my nephew was called that already; Thomas (Tom) but DH is Tim so bit too similar and James (Jamie) as DH's brother called that.

You have plenty of time to decide so don't worry.

MrsFish · 01/03/2007 15:20

If I have a boy this time we are going to call him Ben (Benjamin) always liked the name. I also like Zack and Max too but DH doesn't, haven't a clue on the middle name though. I like Harry but DH isn't sure, I might win him round though if we can't come up with anything else.

bundle · 01/03/2007 15:24

I was very relieved we had girls both times, I find boys names v tricky

dionnelorraine · 01/03/2007 15:25

bundle · 01/03/2007 15:31

dionnelorraine · 01/03/2007 15:35

Sorry, no offence. This boy was called blaze after a star trek fighting thingy or something. Just sounds odd to me

robynsarah · 29/03/2007 17:44

nailpolish · 29/03/2007 17:47

best way of finding a name is to read all the credits on films and telly

swifterella · 29/03/2007 17:56

mum2george · 29/03/2007 19:38

Lots & lots of Ruebens & Frasers been born around here just lately it seems.

We can't agree on a name either, about the only one we can compromise on is Edward, still 18 weeks to go though so we may change our minds yet!

WinkyWinkola · 29/03/2007 19:39

Felix? Rufus? Floyd? Lloyd? Love Bruno and DS is Theo.

I find boys names are a lot easier than girls. We're struggling with girls names.
