Just wondered whats the earlist anyone got thier pregnancy symptons.
Is it possible to get them even before your period is late as in the sickness and tiredness. If you did get them so early was it twins?
I know some people say they just knew on conception, but how did you know?

NOT PREGNANT. Ive decided. Done two pink dot tests this morning and both def negative. I am two days late so there is no reason for them to be negative. Decided the faint blue line one from yesterday is a fluke. It says on the instructions to disregard any changes in results after 10 mins.

I think ill pop up chemists and do the early predictor one(tescos didnt have any) and do it one last time and if the early ones says neg then i will stop worrying and try and forget about it.Anyway its not as if i wanted to be pregnant is it.

Really pleased for everyone else though, and ill watch to see how you are getting on.

CP3 - Try the Boots own brand. It's renound for picking up even the faintest trace of HCG..... and it's also cheaper! DId you speak to your DP about it last night?

CP3 · 04/07/2004 11:18

No, i fell asleep about 9. I could pop to boots i supose. My emotions are going up and down and im so close to tears, infact i did cry yesterday. But as an other mner e mailed me yesterday and reminded me that my body has gone through so much the past two years and with the bleeding problems that the tests could well be wrong. Dunno which one she meant though iyswim.

The blue line is so faint that i wonder if im just seeing where its meant to be. I showed it to my teenage daughter and she could see it but had to look closely

DD - sore boobs and an inkling right from the word go.

Been feeling c**p last 2/3 weeks and did a positive test yesterday . No clue as to where and when so desperately trying to get doc appnt asap as have had bleeding since the most likely time - is this normal?

Toothache · 04/07/2004 11:26

CP3 - that's exactly what my first 2 tests were like! I'd try again this morning with the Boots own or the early predictor test. If still inconclusive then maybe wait a few days (easier said than done). But at least if you buy in Boots you get advantage card points.

Pagan - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Were you trying?
No I don't think bleeding is normal, but then loads of Mumsnetters have had spotting in early pregnancy and everything has been fine. It could be cervical erosion?? How heavy is it?

Pagan · 04/07/2004 11:34

Well we had just started thinking about it. Didn't expect it to be quite so soon as DD is only 9 months old. I'm off to do the second test now as I'm all worried.

Congrats to Pidge and commisers to CP3

Pagan · 04/07/2004 11:37

Oh and I used clearblue - used this one the last time and it seems pretty accurate. Sodding expensive though and best to buy in packs of 2.

Pagan · 04/07/2004 11:42

Sorry Toothache - forgot to answer all your questions as I'm a bit of a fruitcake at the mo. I've not had any bleeding for a while. Basically here's the deal.

Had a weeks holiday at end of April and got all romantic . DH then offsky for most of May with work. I had a full week period (the first since giving birth) around mid May. DH came home for 2 days during which time I had a one day bleed but can't remember if we got jiggy with it.

DH finally came back home on 1st June and I had another one day bleed. I'm pretty sure we had another couple of rollarounds but it was at this time I started feeling keck and narky. Put it down to being hormonal with periods settling down again. Went on holiday 11 June and felt hellish for most of it although we did do a bit more romping. So I'm at a loss as to when conception actually took place.

misdee · 04/07/2004 11:46

with the dd i was feeling sick and being sick about a week before AF was due. this time the obnly sign i have i'm pregnant (apart from no AF) is the fact i'm tiring very quickly and have a bit of heartburn the last few days.

misdee · 04/07/2004 11:47

and congratulations to the people finding out they are preggy on this thread.

Toothache · 04/07/2004 11:47

It doesn't sound like the bleeding has been that bad then. One of those one day bleeds could have been implantation!
I suppose you won't know until you get a scan! But it sounds like the week long period mid-may was your last one. So you're probably about 6-7wks pg? Which is about right for when the morning sickness/tiredness kicks in.

Pagan · 04/07/2004 11:49

OMG

Toothache · 04/07/2004 11:51

lol Pagan!

What was the first day of the period you had in May??? Then you'll know which thread to tentatively join... February or March....

misdee · 04/07/2004 11:52

feb have enuff people, join us for march lol!!

Pagan · 04/07/2004 11:54

I can't really remember exactly - it was either 8th or 15th it started. But DH wasn't around in May - I guess we must've done the dirty deed after all during his 2 day break home. Either that or look for a new star round about Feb/March next year

Pagan · 04/07/2004 11:58

Pants - earliest doc appnt is Thursday morning!!! The suspense ......

Reason for shock at possibility of being 6/7 weeks gone is that I've partaken of a few drinkies. Nothing major but the odd G&T and a couple of glasses of plonk a night on holiday.

mummytosteven · 04/07/2004 12:09

Pagan - re:the drinkies - Food Standards Agency advice on PG is that 1 or 2 glasses of wine per day are OK - I thinks its binge drinking thats more concerning - though most advice plays it ultra safe - abstain if you can etc. I think most people with unplanned pgs will have done the same before BFP - I know I did!

Pagan · 04/07/2004 12:12

Strangely went right off it second half of holiday so shan't be touching another drop.

Toothache · 04/07/2004 12:17

So you are either due on the 12th or the 19th February!
My birthday is the 15th of Feb.... it's a good month.
Ach, don't worry about the wine. Like MummytoSteven said most people don't find out until 7 or 8 wks anyway!

The GP probably won't do much. Just take your details and refer you to the antenatal clinic around the time when you'll be approx 12wks (end July). Or they might refer you for a dating scan ASAP if you tell a wee white lie and say you could be about 11/12wks at the moment.

mummytosteven · 04/07/2004 12:23

My b'day is 14th Feb - try and avoid lo coming out then - its a pain going out for a b'day meal!! But aquarius is a funky star sign!

I wouldn't tell any porkies to the docs - if you say you think you are 11/12 weeks, and go for a scan and they see a 6 week fetus and no heartbeat yet - which is consistent and perfectly normal with your dates, they will suggest two possibilities - that you are out with your dates, or that you could have m/c, which will stress you out no end, and cause some probs!! Also an abdominal u/s is not appropriate that early - you would really need an internal one that early, and a dating scan would be bound to be abdominal.

Toothache · 04/07/2004 12:25

Ah but Mummytosteven.... she is almost 8wks pregnant and by the time she sees the GP and they arrange an appointment she'll probably be nearer 10wks anyway!

Pagan · 04/07/2004 12:29

I'll try to avoid 14/2. Mine is on 4 January and always a non-event. It is rare that anyone even remembers never mind be in the mood to celebrate.

Oh boy!!! I've a splitting migraine - is that normal too? I used to get em with my periods.

I never felt this bad with DD. Sore boobs and a bit waddly at the end but that was it.

Toothache · 04/07/2004 12:32

Pagan - I had a headache every other day until about 25wks this time (especially in the morning). Didn't have anything like that with ds. I was eventually prescribed a bucket load of cocodamol which did the trick.
