Early Symptons, how early?

Just wondered whats the earlist anyone got thier pregnancy symptons.
Is it possible to get them even before your period is late as in the sickness and tiredness. If you did get them so early was it twins?
I know some people say they just knew on conception, but how did you know?

I knew something was different from about a week after conception - thinking my boobs were unusually sore for pre-period week and they just got worse. Byt he tiem my period was due I couldn't sleep on my front or side and kind of knew the test was coming out positive!

scubamum2b · 26/06/2004 15:46

less than a week after conception I had a hot flush, which I found very unusual for me. I had also had sore breasts (rather than nipples I had before periods).

I took a pregnancy test as I had an appointment with doctor re not getting pregnant, which was negative. After so many negatives and so many false symptoms, it was a joy to see 2 pink lines appear

Not gone off coffee, and yet to find out if it is twins or not (large bump for 15wks)

jampot · 26/06/2004 15:49

oh yes I'd forgotten the coffee thing - couldn't touch it before I knew I was pregnant.

Congrats scuba mum. I think im just paranoid and am imagining my symptons. Because we were careless. But ive never crashed out before at 6 unless i was pregnant, plus the car sick thing is a big sign for me and i had one day like wishing chair where i was constantly on the loo.

Pidge · 29/06/2004 15:42

Read this thread with interest on Monday noticing that my cup of tea tasted horrid, and I had an unmistakeable metallic taste in my mouth. AF wasn't due for 2 days, but I got all excited and tested anyway ... it was negative .

Three days later, the metallic taste is still there and 2 minutes ago I did a test in the loos at work ... and ... now trying to play it cool at my desk, and dying to go home and tell dp.

I guess it shows your body can know before the tests show it.

Angeliz · 29/06/2004 15:44

OOOOHH PIDGE CONGRATULATIONS++++++++=

sweetkitty · 29/06/2004 15:47

How exciting Pidge I also did the test at work kept looking at it as I had wrapped it in loo roll and put it in my bag. Did another one as soon as I got home and showed them both to DP!

Congratulations BTW

Twinkie · 29/06/2004 15:51

Hoorah - Hoorah - Hoorah!!

Congratulations Pidge!!

CP3 · 30/06/2004 00:19

Well Done Pidge, is this your first, second, third?

Pidge · 03/07/2004 12:01

I have a dd aged nearly 2 ... still can't quite believe it, but tested again over the weekend just to convince myself (and dp) that I wasn't hallucinating! I'm over the moon. Better go join that March 2005 thread ...

CP3 · 03/07/2004 12:03

Just logged on to say my tea tastes bloody funny and has done all weekend. Im going mad, must test again now im a day late.

Toothache · 03/07/2004 12:08

Congratulations Pidge!

CP3 - Are you going to test rrrrright now????

please?

CP3 · 03/07/2004 14:42

Oooh dunno Toothache, have already wasted a eight quid on one. I really think im imagining it. May give it a few days more as i do have problems in the gynae area but its normally too much bleeding not none at all. IYSWIM

Toothache · 03/07/2004 14:50

CP3 - Are you usually regular?

CP3 · 03/07/2004 14:54

Since i had ds 9 months ago i had constant bleeding for 6 months, non stop. Then it kinda settled when i started taking noresthiene(sp)from the docter but when i got a period it wouldnt stop again. Then last month it was a completely normal 7 day period and on the 15/16th day Dp was careless.i am meant to be having a scan on July 23rd to see what causes the bleeding.

Before Ds i was completeley regular 28 days exactly.

smellymelly · 03/07/2004 14:58

Toothache · 03/07/2004 14:59

Glad you said that Smelly melly.... PLEAASE TEST!

CP3 · 03/07/2004 15:02

We dont have a pound land. I will pop out in a min and get one. Need to get toddler to sleep anyway. BRB. Wish me luck. I said i didnt want another but now im thinking maybe i do or we would have been more careful. God my head is going back and forth.

CP3 · 03/07/2004 15:55

Panic over its negative. Dont know if i feel relieved or not. I really thought it would be posotive. And my tea still tastes funny. Gonna make a fresh with new milk.

How wierd i actually feel sad now.

smellymelly · 03/07/2004 15:56

Don't know what to say, at least you have time to plan now, and find out why you have had all that bleeding.

xxx

CP3 · 03/07/2004 16:01

I think ill get the scan out of the way and then re-evalute my feelings about having more children and make a decision either way then.

Thanx smelly pidge for holding my hand (virtually anyway)

CP3 · 03/07/2004 16:01

meant to say smelly & pidge

Toothache · 03/07/2004 16:02

CP3 - Better check the test again.... my positive didn't show up until a good half hour later and it was so faint that DH didn't beleive me!

CP3 · 03/07/2004 16:04

Well i have a second one just in case.

Pidge · 03/07/2004 16:14

Sorry to hear that, CP3 - was hoping to have some more company. I guess it gives you more time to sort out what you want.

All the best
