Like many of you I'm starting to browse all the sales for baby bargains! Maybe we could share our finds here?

First up, John Lewis have got a whopping £200 off the 2015 Uppababy Vista! www.johnlewis.com/uppababy-vista-2015-pushchair-and-carrycot-denny-red/p1789270

I've also found some good deals on the Babies R Us and Kiddicare sites.

There is an extra 10% off the Isabella Oliver sale too.

I'm on the lookout for:
Babyzen Yoyo
Bed nest
Medela Freestyle
Tripp Trapp newborn set

Please post your sale bargains below!

Boots doesn't seem to have the Lullago anymore. That sounded like a great bargain.

BeccaSays · 28/12/2016 10:46

Marmite I bought it on Christmas Day. Just had a quick look and can't find it either so wondering if it has sold out :(

We were going to get an iCandy peach or all terrain and also tried out the Bugaboo buffalo but the Uppababy won out for us. You'll love the huge basket underneath and it's less fiddly getting carrycot on/off and folding etc. Plus it comes with everything except a footmuff!

Lesters Nursery World online is doing the silver with black chassis for £599, but I like the JL customer service and Peace of mind they'll sort it without fuss if there is a problem.

twinmamma2b · 28/12/2016 11:05

If you're looking for a co-sleeper, make sure you check that it will work with the height of your bed. We, foolishly, didn't and now can't use our snuzpod right next to the bed as ours is too high. Blush

lucieloos · 28/12/2016 11:07

Thanks twin our bed is fairly low so hopefully shouldn't be a problem but anyone know what height the snuzpod can fit?

marmitecheesetoast · 28/12/2016 11:08

Ah that's a shame, nevermind will keep my eye out for it elsewhere!

lucie we're getting a second hand chicco next to me from SiL who's used it for her both her kids and loved it. We had a look at that and snuzpod in M&P and for us likes the fact that next2me was a bit wider and also I think it goes higher which we needed as our bed is quite high.

Even though we are getting the next2me I was considering getting lullago too especially at that price as potentially an alternative to a Moses basket for downstairs during the day sleeping? And also because we will be going to a family wedding down south for 2 nights about 2 months after baby is born so thought it would be handy to be able to take that.

Sounds good Becca we haven't really looked at any prams at all yet in the shops so going to and have a good play tomorrow in a few different shops but I keep hearing good things about the uppababy vista. SiL has icandy Peach all terrain which she loves, it's from JL and she said it was great as their handle broke and she took it in and they sorted it there and then so it is really good service and reassurance as you say

twinmamma2b · 28/12/2016 11:10

Lucieloos - I've just realised that we've chatted before on a different msnet board (I had a different username - a welsh one). So pleased to see you on this board now - congratulations!

twinmamma2b · 28/12/2016 11:13

Max height on the snuzpod is 58cm.

lucieloos · 28/12/2016 11:14

Aww thanks twin, argghh I can't think who you would have been now though. Thanks so much though it's been a long old slog but hopefully this is it for us. 20w scan next week!

Grumpelstiltskin · 28/12/2016 11:17

Lucie I went for the Snuzpod as it's a good fit for our bed, and I liked the fact it rocks, is detachable and you can fully zip/unzip the side up and down but still see the baby through the mesh when shut. Also has good resale value. and the bedding designs are cute

feesh · 28/12/2016 11:35

Winstanley's Pramworld seem to have some good deals on pushchairs and travel systems - none were good for me (we specifically want a Babyzen Yoyo), but it might be worth a look for everyone else.

I've just ordered the snuzpod, mattress protector and pack of sheets and blanket with the 10% off. I think the style of the snuzpod fits better with the furniture we have in our bedroom and I like the option of taking the bassinet off to use downstairs. Ideally I would prefer it not to be on the floor but if it doesn't work for us we will pick up a cheap moses basket and stand later.

Welshy11 · 28/12/2016 15:58

Just got the maxi cosi family fix Base with pebble car seat and the next one up the pearl car seat for 350 from toyrus. The offer is available elsewhere but through quidco today they had 10% cashback so was only £315!

NameChange30 · 28/12/2016 16:22

We got the SnuzPod because it's 3 in 1, I like the fact that it works as a stand-alone crib as well, plus you can get a natural mattress for it.

SIL has a very high bed and she got a Knuma Huddle because it's the only bedside crib that's high enough.

For anyone who is still deciding between bedside cribs, this article should be useful:

NameChange30 · 28/12/2016 16:27

Re pushchairs, it's so difficult to recommend them because everyone will have different criteria. We wanted something reasonably compact and light that is easy to fold, folds up with the seat still on it, and is both compact and freestanding when folded. We got the Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip XT because it fits all our criteria, but the Uppababy Cruz was a very close second. We were impressed by the quality and the huge basket!

AcademicNerd · 28/12/2016 17:32

feesh I bought a Babyzen Yoyo+ at a baby show this year, and had a good chat with the sales rep. What he told me was that Babyzen doesn't let their products be sold on discounts by retailers, but instead they were doing a free car seat (Maxi Cosi) with pram purchase deal at shows.

Also I'm placemarking this thread, I need some more baby things.

Sweetpeabec · 28/12/2016 17:36

Any good baby carriers/slings people have found please?

lucieloos · 28/12/2016 17:44

Can anyone recommend a good video baby monitor? Also how important is to to have one with movement sensors?

feesh · 28/12/2016 18:10

Thanks Nerd, I'd started to think as much. Will go forth and pay full price for it then :)

feesh If you have a cashback credit card you could save a bit of money by using that.
We've been trying to use DH's Amex (which gives a few % cashback) for big purchases for the baby and house.

feesh · 28/12/2016 18:43

Ah, we don't, alas we are expats living overseas so we have forrin cards :)
Although I can get John Lewis to send one out to us minus the VAT, so all is good really, I just wanted an even bigger bargain in the sales!

lucieloos · 28/12/2016 19:00

Anyone seen any deals on the BT 7500 video lightshow monitor?

ClaireFraser · 28/12/2016 19:31

Not read the thread sorry if been Merioneth before, mothercare have a fairly decent sale

AMillionMilesFromThere · 28/12/2016 22:38

This might be a dopey question but the perfect prep machine ; can you use any brand bottles or do they have to be tomee tipee? Anyone ?

BeccaSays · 29/12/2016 08:46

Millionmiles I heard they're fine with any bottles, preferably with a wide neck like tommy tippee. I'm planning on getting mam bottles and hopefully these would be fine with it. A friend is loaning me her machine, so quite lucky. Hoping to be able to breastfeed!

ConvincingLiar · 29/12/2016 09:55

We never bothered with movement on the baby monitor but find video/sound invaluable.
