I'm around 5 +4 weeks pregnant and last night started to get some brown spotting. It's kind of similar to EWCM but brown. I did get the same around the time I would have gotten my period (assumed it was implantation after the BFP) but now this a couple of weeks later.

I've had two miscarriages back to back so I'm really nervous this is the start of another one. I have a call into the GP to see if I can get a referral to the EPU.

Have any of you had the same thing? & did you manage to get a referral to the EPU?

I'm terrified that they'll fob me off and tell me to wait & see....

Morning

Thinking of you today Celizabe.

KTM I hope you are OK

xx

celizabe · 16/11/2016 10:34

Morning everybody, how is everyone feeling today?

KTM, hope your EPU appointment goes well, am thinking of you.

Just back from the EPU and there's a heartbeat this time around :) Using my last period date I would be 7+3 but using the ultrasound dating I'm 6+6 today, which ties in with what I thought. I don't know how fast the heart was beating but I could see it flickering so from now until the next scan I'm just going to try to remain positive.

I have a midwife appointment next Tuesday so am going to ask if I can have another viability scan at 9 weeks. My first MC was missed until 14 weeks but foetus likely died at 9 so I'd like to see if I have got passed that point. I'm away for New Year so really want to know it's all going to plan before then.

I'm relieved but cautious today, thanks for all the support over the past few weeks, it's been fantastic to have you guys x

Hi Celizabe

This is wonderful news!! I'm so relieved for you :-) I think it is a good plan to arrange another scan at 9 weeks, and I'm sure your midwife will support you. I had a Mmc which was discovered when I went down to London for a harmony test, it was an awful shock.

How is the spotting? Mine (touch wood) has stopped.

I'm not booking in with the midwife until I've reached 12 weeks.

Now you can cautiuosly relax a bit CelizabeSmile

KTM how are you doing? I hope you are OK

Xxx

celizabe · 16/11/2016 12:47

Thanks Womble, I'm cautiously optimistic :)

I'm trying to get in with the midwife sooner rather than later so that I can get an elusive appointment with an endocrinologist! I had the EPU check my thyroid results today (had bloods done last Friday) and they're in the right range, which is good news.

I'll most likely book a private scan for the 9 week mark and then wait for the Nuchal screening test at 12/14 weeks.

Touch wood, I haven't had any spotting since the weekend so hopefully that's coming to an end.

x

Afternoon ladies,

Wombletor I'm glad your spotting has stopped, it's a goood sign I wish you and your little bean all the best x

Celizabe I'm really happy for you! It's also amazing your spotting has stopped and all is okay for now, I wish you all the best too x

Sadly for me this morning when I got up there was a lot of blood and a little grey veiny sac. They are pretty certain I have miscarried and there wasn't anything showing on the scan anymore but I've had bloods to see if my hormone levels are going down. Awfully upset but I know there is nothing I could of done to stop it 😔 X

Wombletor · 16/11/2016 13:08

Oh KTM I am so sorrySad you are going through this, I know how you must be feeling right now. I hope someone is looking after you. Take it easy, hot chocolate on the sofa. I'm sending you a hug xx

celizabe · 16/11/2016 13:14

Ktm, I'm so sorry for your loss, it's a shit time and a shit thing to happen - there are no other words for it.

Like Womble said, I hope you have someone to be with you if you need it or someone not with you if that's what you need too.

Have a big old cry and give yourself lots of TLC. I'll be thinking of you xx

Thank you wombletor and celizabe, beyond heart broken, I just sat there hoping and praying i would see a little flicker on the screen but I knew it was over. Back on Friday for more bloods just go 100% confirm. Thank you so much for your support ladies and I hope you and your little beans all stay lovely and healthy, you'll all be fine xx

jpeg28 · 16/11/2016 18:16

Ktm I am so so sorry for your loss. I hope you are getting lots of rest and being kind for yourself. I know how you are feeling and it's awful. Make sure you take time to grieve, thinking of you.

Ktm16 · 16/11/2016 18:27

Thank you jpeg28, I'm resting up after a bath and all fresh bedding. Trying to come to terms with what's happening. Thank you for your support and wish you all the best x

jpeg28 · 16/11/2016 18:46

I know this is probably not what you're thinking about right now.... but there is an amazing thread called TTC after miscarriage. I joined after mine and found people to be so helpful. It's such an awful time which no one openly talks about, which makes it even harder.

Ktm16 · 16/11/2016 20:56

I'll have a look now jpeg28, thank you again so much

BertieBotts · 16/11/2016 21:10

Can second that. It's a very supportive thread. (Jpeg - good to see you, glad you are doing well!)

Very sorry about your loss Ktm. Look after yourself. x

Ktm16 · 17/11/2016 12:24

Thank you BertieBotts I've been reading through while I can x

Ktm16 · 19/11/2016 14:52

Hey womble and celizabe,
Just checking in to see how you guys are getting on x

Wombletor · 19/11/2016 18:30

Hi KTM
Thanks for thinking of us.
How are you doing? Are you feeling a little better?
I have had some more brown spotting since Thursday. I have another scan on Tuesday so will know if things are progressing.
I hope you are doing OK xx

Ktm16 · 19/11/2016 23:27

Hi womble, I have been keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you both.
I'm sorry to hear you've started spotting again but I'm sure your little bean will be okay as you told me before it's pretty common and your bean has been super strong up to yet, I shall keep everything crossed for you. Let me know how you go on with your scan.
I'm doing okay, still struggling to come to terms with it I'm going through the why me stage but I have a lot of support. But work aren't being very supportive, they have a put up and shut up approach 😔 But I will get there, just trying to get back into normality a little at a time xx

Wombletor · 20/11/2016 19:52

Hi KTM
I'm sorry you are struggling, the first few weeks are hard, but I promise it will get a little easier. I'm glad you have support. Sorry your work are being unsupportive, don't give them too much thought.
I haven't told anyone about my pregnancy, except DH, so its nice yo post here.
Thanks for crossing everything for me. I'll post on Tuesday and let you know. Take care xx

Ktm16 · 21/11/2016 23:10

Hi womble, yeah it's awful considering as a cater I work with all women so you would think they would have a little understanding and compassion, but looking for a new job with a fresh start. Ah yeah I bet it's nice to be able to talk about your pregnancy here with nobody else knowing, always welcome to share anything. Make sure you let me know how you go on, take care xx

Wombletor · 22/11/2016 11:32

Hi KTM
Not good news for me unfortunately, no growth or heartbeat so I'm booked in for surgery next Tuesday. Xx

Ktm16 · 22/11/2016 14:11

Oh womble I'm so sorry 😔 I was thinking of you all morning. I'm ever so sorry. Make sure you get plenty of rest and cuddles, I know there's nothing that can make the situation better but I'm here to chat to if you need to xx

Wombletor · 22/11/2016 15:00

Thanks KTM xx

celizabe · 28/11/2016 12:47

Oh Womble, I'm so, so sorry to hear this. I hope you're okay? x

OP posts:
Ktm16 · 28/11/2016 17:28

Womble I hope you are recovering okay and you are getting lots of TLC xx

Celizabe I hope you are well too x

Wombletor · 28/11/2016 18:52

Hi celizabe
I am doing OK thanks, I've had 3 weeks of expecting a negative outcome so i have been preparing myself. Last week wasn't great and my husband was away until Friday and I was on edge that I may start to MC naturally and not be able to collect my daughter from school etc. So it was a relief for him to be home. I have just been crossing my fingers to get to hospital tomorrow so I don't have to deal with it at home. I started to spot today but its v slow, so I'm hoping to be able to have surgery tomorrow.

How are you doing? I hope everything is progressing nicely for you.

How are you KTM? I hope you are feeling a bit better and not working too hard.

Thanks for thinking of me xx
