Today I've been admitted to hospital and told my baby will need to be delivered in next 24 hours due to poor growth and almost no waters. Baby is only measuring at 1lb 2oz with a less than 50% chance of survival. My husband and I are devastated and terrified. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Wonderful news. Well done beautiful Bea! And the photo you posted up thread is just gorgeous. So glad to hear Bea is doing well, keep fighting little one Smile

An update for you all. Bea is still on cpap. 2 weeks now! Last steroid dose today. It's an 8th of what she started on. The flow has been reduced from 10L to 8L over past few days. Her oxygen at moment is around 40-60%, Last week it was 50-70%, so there is a little progress. She is getting chubby cheeks! She now weighs 1100g. We have lots of cuddles and she seems to enjoy them, she has a very loud snore! She likes wearing clothes and slaps them back down when you have to open them to change her nappy! She is struggling to open bowels but her feeds are a lot bigger and she needs time to get used to them, or she is saving it up for one big nappy! Our lovely NICU Nurses decorated her incubator yesterday to celebrate 50 day milestone and gifted her a little bumble bee toy.

So pleased to see how well she is doing :) xxx

Delurking to say how pleased I am about Bea's progress. Great news that she is getting stronger and feeding well.

However you may want to report your last post (and I will report it, too) to get the first picture removed as it has all your daughter's details on it, including full name, DoB and name of hospital.

Honeybee79 · 01/12/2016 12:28

Lovely. Well done Bea!

Titchypanda · 01/12/2016 12:28

Thanks awake. I hadn't noticed that. Have asked for it to be removed.

What a beautiful photograph - those wee chubby cheeks! What a strong baby you have there Smile

RTKangaMummy · 01/12/2016 13:42

Titchy what a lovely update and photo SmileSmileSmileSmile

Lovely of the NNU staff to give her a BEE SmileSmileSmile

She has grown so much in the last 50 days - also got so much stronger SmileSmileSmile

Have you taken a photo of her alongside a toy so when she is a teenager you can look at the toy and realise how small she was?

Great news about her O2 SmileSmileSmile

Keep getting stronger (not so) little beautiful BEA SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Oh my goodness, a picture of her with her Bee toy :)

I've been a lurker in this thread since you started it, Titchy, but I love seeing Bea get stronger with each update. Hope you are also doing well and getting the support you need :) xx

oldlaundbooth · 01/12/2016 14:44

Lots of love titchy glad she's doing well xxxXmas Smile

saffronwblue · 01/12/2016 19:59

Love how she is snuggling in to you in that photo.

Mermaid36 · 02/12/2016 21:00

Just beautiful! And she's hit the kilo mark too! Milestones in NICU are so different from 'normal' baby milestones.
You are all so strong!

MillieMoodle · 02/12/2016 23:06

That's such a lovely photo of Bea snuggling into you Titchy. So pleased to hear she is doing well and getting stronger. Keep fighting little one! Smile

scrumptiouscrumpets · 03/12/2016 12:40

Sounds like she's putting on weight well! 1000 g is a real milestone. Gorgeous picture, looks like she is enjoying her cuddles!
