Hi all,

Yes I think I might be the first. Gave birth to a daughter, born at 12.28am on Saturday morning. 7lbs 7oz and called Erin. Full birth story under the ironically titled 'waters broken but no contractions' thread. It will make sense when you read it!

So come on - who's going to be next?

jessi · 30/09/2002 15:39

Best of luck Queenie, hope it all go's well for you.

FrancesJ · 30/09/2002 21:22

Bit late here, but Best of luck from me, too, Queenie - hope it's all going/gone well today.

Hope everyone else is ok, too (those who haven't yet had babies, as well as those who have, which seems like quite a few

I'm technically due tomorrow, so the odds are pretty against me leaving this thread for at least another day or two, I suspect. But bump is lowering, pretty much in proportion with chocolate brownie intake increasing. How's everyone else?

MABS · 30/09/2002 21:27

Good luck to all of you - I'm sooooo jealous (but thats another story)

Joe1 · 02/10/2002 14:52

Good luck everyone still waiting for their babies to arrive.

Enid, havnt seen you here for a couple of days, any news?

Queenie · 03/10/2002 14:09

Just to let you know induction successful on second attempt and at 1.12 am on 1st October gave birth to a baby boy 8lbs 7oz with no pain killers and a lot of noise (from me). Boy, when that prostin tablet took hold there wasn't much time for anything. DH had gone home as told nothing would happen that night and he just arrived in time for pushing the baby out (20 mins). We are calling him Max and he is gorgeous but then aren't they all? Good luck to everyone waiting, I am so pleased that I will never have to do it again!!

Harrysmum · 03/10/2002 14:24

Congratulations, Queenie - what a lovely name. Little Max is going to be spoilt for girlfriends in fifteen years' time if the nationwide birth trends are the same as Mumsnet lately!

No news from Enid, she hasnt been around for a while, hope all is ok. I think she was due around now.

Enid · 18/10/2002 11:56

Just a quickie, computer only JUST functioning properly. Still here at 40 +6, saw consultant today and he gave me a sweep, I had a show yesterday (which consultant didn't seem impressed by, even though I was!) so am HOPING ON HOPE that baby comes naturally soon, otherwise its induction on Thursday. Dp is grumpy that they didn't do it today as he is fed up with waiting, I am overjoyed that they are letting me go till Thursday as I was in tears last night worrying about it all. About to go for a long walk. Lots of love everyone Ex
