I'm 23wks and REALLY missing riding my horse. Havent ridden since I got the bfp. Horse is a bit unpredictable so thought it best not to risk it. But with the arrival of spring its really bothering me.

Also missing jeans. Need to get some maternity ones.

I miss ibruprofen for the headaches. Paracetamol doesnt work for me.
Miss baked camembert (take it this is out although it's baked...?)

bunny85 · 06/04/2015 22:11

Sleeping on my stomach (I'm only 7 weeks, but boobs are hurting too much)!! And coffee...

MissTwister · 06/04/2015 22:15

Paracetamol really doesn't do much does it?!

Mamabear14 · 06/04/2015 22:18

Paracetamol is utter rubbish! I am missing gin and pate, and on lovely days like today I would love a jug of pimms in the garden

BallroomWithNoBalls · 06/04/2015 22:19

I eat Tesco pasteurised Camembert baked. There probably is a risk of listeria but it's so minuscule I choose to risk it! Wouldn't risk salads in restaurants though, far higher risk.

HazleNutt · 06/04/2015 22:20

Baked cheese is fine. www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/2683.aspx?CategoryID=54&

Jenni2legs · 06/04/2015 22:24

Snogging, I puked every day until 20 weeks and even though I am now 34 weeks I still feel too queasy to snog properly.
Keep having dreams about it Wink

scatterbrainedlass · 07/04/2015 09:36

Alcohol & brie Sad Not much of a drinker, but the odd cider/JD&coke on a Friday night was a treat. I think knowing I can't have it makes it all the more desirable!

GoooRooo · 07/04/2015 10:28

Sleeping on my tummy.

Pate - even though I rarely eat it!

When I was pregnant with DS I missed being able to paint my own toenails at the end.

I'll tell you what I don't miss though. Periods. Grin

beno57 · 07/04/2015 11:19

Playing netball and generally being able to exercise how I used to. Didn't think I would miss it. Can't wait for a rare steak as soon as I can after the birth :)

You can eat runny eggs if they are red lion stamped in the UK. It means they have been vaccinated against salmonella. I've been having a few

Number3cometome · 07/04/2015 13:57
  1. Alcohol

  3. The variety of banned cheeses
  4. Parma ham
  5. Alcohol
  6. Alcohol
  7. Alcohol
  8. Having sex without OH saying "careful you're squashing him" no i'm not, he's in a fucking bubble!
Sweets27 · 07/04/2015 17:45

Early days for me, but already REALLY missing being able to choose whatever I want from a restaurant menu! Had no idea I'd feel so limited - no pate, mousse, mayonnaise, liver, soft eggs, cured meat...

Missing the wine and bubbly a little bit, just when out for dinner.

Also caffeine. Used to be a real coffee fiend!

misssmilla1 · 07/04/2015 18:33

An occasional glass of red or a beer with thai or Indian food.
Not retching on brushing my teeth
Not going up 2 dress sizes by the end of the day due to bloating
Parma ham / prosciutto
My period; not in a 'oh god I want it way' but definitely noticing it's not here, which is a win imo
Not being anxious all the time about everything
Nurofen Plus

sianihedgehog · 07/04/2015 18:41

Booze and attention from men. :(

Even a little bit of attention from my other half would help, but I feel like I'm a hideous boring old lady intruding on young people having fun most of the time. I was never a beauty, but I have never felt so invisible.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 07/04/2015 20:39

Am I the only one having a small glass or two of wine every so often? Certainly if I'm out for a meal. Not without food to absorb it a bit, and only one glass 125ml, but I really doubt it's doing any harm. I've had a pint with a pub meal on a couple of occasions too. I'm 32 weeks and have had the occasional tipple since about 24 weeks when I could finally stomach it!

BallroomWithNoBalls · 07/04/2015 20:40

I revel in ordering the most expensive wine on the menu available by the glass Grin Wine

HazleNutt · 07/04/2015 20:49

I have a small drink every now and then. but I want a BIG, HUGE drink Grin

Teeste · 07/04/2015 21:05

I've had 1 and a half glasses of wine in all my pregnancy. I know that level of drinking isn't a problem, but it makes me want more so I've had to knock it on the head before I down all of half of the bottle!

geekymommy · 07/04/2015 21:17

Wine. I had to have grape juice at Passover Seder last week, ffs! Angry Certainly can't have four cups of wine now.
Unlimited caffeine. And I DO mean unlimited. I want a mug of strong coffee the size of Lake Baikal RIGHT NOW, dammit!
Not having to make a major production out of sitting on the floor, or sitting on especially soft chairs or couches, or sitting in a dining room chair for too long.
I normally like deli turkey on matzo during Passover. Not this year.
Lox. We're told to avoid refrigerated smoked fish here in the US. Sad
Tuna sushi.

bonzo77 · 07/04/2015 21:20

Oh yes. Grape juice here too instead of wine. The wine is grim enough! What a shame about the smoked salmon. It's the only thing that makes matzah ok.

Thanksforthat · 07/04/2015 21:32

May I suggest Creme Eggs for those missing runny eggs. I just had one in bed. Delish!

geekymommy · 07/04/2015 22:40

Wine at Seders I have a hand in planning is generally decent, since I take over that part of the planning.

newbian · 08/04/2015 01:28

hellohellohowareyou by sushi I mean raw fish and rice, I never considered a roll with a cooked fish or meat as "sushi"! Definitely not allowed for pregnant women sadly...

HazleNutt · 08/04/2015 10:56

raw fish that's been frozen previously is fine. And most sushi should be made from pre-frozen fish in the UK (except certain salmon). That's what the NHS page says as well: It's usually safe to eat sushi and other dishes made with raw fish when you're pregnant

sianihedgehog · 08/04/2015 11:07

I really don't understand where people are getting their banned food lists from... So many foods getting mentioned here that are totally fine to eat.
