Anyone else here suffering?

I'm almost 33 weeks with Baby number 3 but my 1st GD pregnancy.

I'm currently on 500mg of Metformin Slow Release 4x a day and insulin twice a day.

I see the obstetrician and diabetes consultant every 2 weeks along with a growth and doppler scan and then see the midwife every week inbetween.

I'm having a girl and 2 weeks ago she was measuring on the 99th centile and I've had another 2 weeks of uncontrolled sugars so I'm dreading my scan on Tuesday and seeing how much she has grown again. I have no risk factors so we were all very surprised with the outcome of my GTT!

Anyone else in the same boat?

Oh no running. Hope you have had an ok night and some relief.

Off for my last weekend shift at work. Only 3 weeks of work left!

Sugars have been ok over last few days. Although weirdly this morning they were higher 1st thing than after dinner last night. Hmm Had dinner late so no snack before bed. Not sure how that works.

RunningAwayFromMyMind · 06/01/2015 00:53

Well that was eventful! Baby was born at 15.58 weighing in at 6lb! she's had 2 feeds so far but has suffered low bloods so they are giving us one last shot before the put an ng down. Wish us luck. In other news my post birth treat was a sweet cup of tea! but the husband has been given a list for supplies tomorrow! I'm still in a state of shock to be honest. Grin

Congratulations running. Enjoy your new born squish and cuddles. I hope her sugars have come up for you. ThanksGrin

I had my first obs appointment yesterday. Apparently I am ok on diet controlled so far. And the policy at our local hospital is to let you go full term but not over if diet controlled.

I have my scan booked for next Thursday when I will be 34+4 so will see then how big lo is.

sophspot · 06/01/2015 12:38

Big congratulations ! That was quick hope your not too sure.Glad all ok, what was the deciding factors to do your c section. Enjoy your precious bundle. Flowers X

Thank you Smile

I couldn't get my BM above 4, even with being hooked on the Glucose drip, also there were no accelerations with the babies heartbeat when she was moving so I was taken for a scan and it showed my placenta had deteriorated and because of the hypos I couldn't be removed off the drip so the best thing for both of us was to deliver.
