I am 31 weeks atm and booked for a homebirth.Went to see mw last Thursday and baby is now breech. How can i turn this baby round? I really want my homebirth and would be terrified if i had to have a cs.My other 3 births have been normal deliveries.Has anyone managed to successfully turn a breech baby? Or has anyone delivered a breech vaginally?
Any help gratefully recieved x

Agalch - what's this about phoning Fire Brigade and home insurance? Nobody told me I would have to do this?

agalch · 03/07/2006 22:12

Sarahlou1uk my mw gave me a checklist of things to do.Because you have "dangerous gases" in the house you have to let your house insurance know and also the fire brigade know, they may want to see where and how the entinox and oxygen are stored.

I am in scotland so may be different where you are?

mawbroon thanks Mw said it's unlikley to turn again as it looks like a "good sized baby" but said if it did turn i would def feel it and could be rescanned.Fingers crossed for me eh?

Oh yes, you would most definitely feel it! My ds kept me awake the night he turned breech and also on several subsequent nights as he tried to turn back but couldn't as he was stuck in my bicornuate uterus!

Hope your insurers don't want an extra premium for you having g&a in the hous

Morning mawbroon

God i hadn't thought about insurance company wanting extra.Knowing them they just might.
Kit for the pool is out of stock atm so hope it's in stock soon or the pool idea might be a prob.Grrrrr why me i ask???

I am nearly 36 weeks baby is breech at the mo so I don't think there is much chance of he/she moving. Which I'm quite gutted about since I was down foe a home birth since my first baby was a really easy birth.
