Unborn Baby Nicknames

Just wondering what everyone calls their unborn babies? I'm struggling to think of something cute/fun other than what we called DS & don't want to use 'it'! Any suggestions?

I never gave my bump a NN but a friend called hers Peanut. Another one called theirs Lentil, which is now their DSs middle name.

commotionintheocean · 27/09/2012 19:38

Beanie, it is not our son's middle name!

CaptainHetty · 27/09/2012 19:40

Ours is Flump. I'm due on Monday, and so far am struggling to imagine calling her anything else Hmm

We won't actually call her Flump, obviously :o

ellesabe · 27/09/2012 19:45

Our dd was called Derek!

AnneH656 · 27/09/2012 19:58

This one kept poking me with his elbow so we called him Smouse- after Slap ma Elbow rapper from Angry Boys...

elvislives2012 · 27/09/2012 19:59

Tony!! That way it's unisex

sleepybump · 27/09/2012 20:01

Dc1 was Bug, this one is Button :)

Pascha · 27/09/2012 20:02

DS was Weeble. DC2 is Widget.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 27/09/2012 20:04

Dd was bump, ds was baby, dc3 is tadpole.

vamosbebe · 27/09/2012 20:05

Pea. When we discovered Pea was a boy, it became Mr Pea. Everybody used it, to my delight: "how are you and Pea?"
Flump is fantastic Smile

COCKadoodledooo · 27/09/2012 20:07

Ds1 was Pugh, ds2 Barney McGrew. The baby I miscarried was Cuthbert. Was quite interesting explaining that one to the hospital chaplain!

PipIsOutNow · 27/09/2012 20:08

Pip! I loved it. He was pip all the way through the pregnancy. I'm 22 weeks on ds2 now but this bump doesn't have a nickname :(

SpottyTeacakes · 27/09/2012 20:09

Jeff Blush only to my sister and I though!

HaveALittleFaith · 27/09/2012 20:12

We haven't quite decided - probably decide after 12 week scan when we can feel more attached but I'm leaning towards Beanie myself. My sister called hers peanut and I had a friend who called hers Buzby. I really don't like Bubs Confused

Jojoba1986 · 27/09/2012 20:16

How about Flubber? That way my postnatal baby weight could be referred to as Flubber flab! Grin

Flubba the Bubba Smile

karatekimmi · 27/09/2012 20:17

We had a flump here too!

tomatoplantproject · 27/09/2012 20:18

Humphrey. Shortened to Hump the Bump. Or Humpety.

OddFrog · 27/09/2012 20:21

DS was Ralph. (permanent morning sickness pun) No NN this time round but no terrible symptoms either Smile

Homebird8 · 27/09/2012 20:21

DS1 was Flake ( as in snowflake). DS2 was Pip and DS3 was Gem.

As Flake didn't make it the first time we were decorating a room for the baby in waiting was for Pip. It was known as the Pip Pen!

Gem was Gem for a few days whilst we thought of a name after he was born Smile

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 27/09/2012 20:22

Pumpkin :)

Niceupthedance · 27/09/2012 20:25

Wolfie. And DS has a wolf-based middle name.

Jojoba1986 · 27/09/2012 20:25

Just referred to DS as a pickle & suggested we use that for DC2 - DH loves it so I think we have a Little Pickle! Grin

Not that we're getting carried away! We only have 36+1 to wait until we meet LP!! Wink
