Just wondering what everyone calls their unborn babies? I'm struggling to think of something cute/fun other than what we called DS & don't want to use 'it'! Any suggestions?

Squid. Because I dreamt (at about 8 weeks pregnant) that I was going to give birth to a squid. And I was even convinced that at the 12 week scan, it would show a little squid on the screen.

To be honest, I would've been more surprised had he been a girl when he was born, it wouldn't have shocked me if he was a squid.

DC1 was Dot, DC2 is Button.

Justfeckingdoit · 27/09/2012 20:39

Rufus. Thankfully we had a DD.

FaintingGoat · 27/09/2012 20:39

Wiggles :)

My friend's baby was Noodle, which I also loved.

janji · 27/09/2012 20:41

Ds was puddin and dd was jellybean.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 27/09/2012 20:42

DD was just bump. DC2 is Pedro. I dont know why.

Orenishii · 27/09/2012 20:54

Crabling, mostly.

Or the Cub - as in Man Cub from the Jungle Book. Our cat was Bo Cub or Bear Cub when she was little so I guess it just transferred over Hmm

DJH80 · 27/09/2012 20:54

Mine is called Johnson... as it sounds funny with our surname.

DeathMetalMum · 27/09/2012 20:57

Dd1 was bump, this one is tig. Kind of short for tigger as df said there was lots more movement during the scan this time. Also because of the cbeebies program wooly and tig.

weeblueberry · 27/09/2012 20:57

Ours is Wee Manatee. Because the day after we found out I was pregnant I went onto a site to find out how far along I was and it said 'congratulations you're expecting a manatee!'. Apparently that's sort of what it looked like that that point. ;)

kissyfur · 27/09/2012 20:59

DD was Peanut, this DC is Button Smile

Purplehonesty · 27/09/2012 21:01

Beyonce! Blush
When people asked what we were going to call baby my dh kept saying 'beyonce' and the amount of people who believed him and said oh wow, er um that's er lovely....
It kinda stuck as a NN.

waitandseepudding · 27/09/2012 21:03

I had a beansprout and a smudge. No reasons just seemed to 'pop out'. Babies did too- 2elcs.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 27/09/2012 21:06

I can't say as it will out me big time, but I can't conceive calling baby anything else and I'm worried she'll forever be called her nickname and not the pretty proper name we've picked! Shock anyone else have this problem?!

Olympicrock · 27/09/2012 21:08

Little fish and cardboard box!

DD was Babybel - no prizes for guessing what was my craving during pregnancy! First thing I hate when I got home from maternity ward was Brie Grin

peanutMD · 27/09/2012 21:14

DS was 'the bump'

This time it sends to be changing with progression, so far she's (total guess) been Tad, Peanut and now the Suze if an are apparently so now its Corey (geddit? :o) which I quite like so might keep for duration!

peanutMD · 27/09/2012 21:15

*the size of an apple apparently

Katla · 27/09/2012 21:17

Mine started out as 'Prawnsie' (as the book said the baby was that size at x weeks) but then we started calling it Viggo (don't know where that came from but I'm sure it's going to stick as a nn once he/she arrives!

DistressedMumHELP · 27/09/2012 21:20

Junior for my first pregnancy, littley for my second and bump for my DS.

TittyWhistles · 27/09/2012 21:30

Ours is called 'it', or sometimes "cousin it".
Or ds who is now 20 mo (coming so soon after a m/c) was known as "little maybe".

TittyWhistles · 27/09/2012 21:31

Our ds

Mammy2Be · 27/09/2012 21:35

Ours is Larry, as in 'happy as...'
