slinkstah · 09/03/2006 14:18

petunia- you must be knackered! i have been wakened by baby too recently but i do not have a young un to look after in day as there at school:)

going4potty · 09/03/2006 14:20

Not ong slink, wools in eight weeks at mo.

wools · 09/03/2006 14:27

G4P, you're about the same as me....I hit the 9 weeks mark tomorrow.

petunia · 09/03/2006 14:35

Slink- yep, in short, I'm knackered! But I've never slept well when I've been pregnant. I just end up going off to bed between 9.30-10.00. Poor DH spends so many evenings on his own!

kreamkrackers · 09/03/2006 14:48

hi everyone. i'm so upset today. my sister has been trying for a baby for over a year and started fertility treatment to make her ov. she released 4 eggs and they said she wouldn't get pg but she did. she went for the scan today to see how many was there (i was convinced she was having twins as her bfp was so strong and i had a dream about twins) it turns out there was only one and although the heartbeat was found the sac was completely the wrong shape. she has to go back next week to see whether the baby has grown. the woman who did the scan didn't give much hope and kept asking again and again has she expeienced any bleeding. there was going to be only a month between our babies and this is so sad. she had become very withdrawn because she wasn't getting pg and i'm now scared this will happen again. life is so unfair, i really didn't think anything like this would happen to her.

going4potty · 09/03/2006 14:51

aw kk your poor sis, i do hope its something silly that can be sorted out. How are you and dd doing?

HellKat · 09/03/2006 15:03

Slink- Wonderful news hun!!! 3 more weeks will feel like forever but you can do it!! Bloody hell I'll be 16wks pg then lol!!!
Kk- So sorry to hear hun. Fingers crossed everything will be ok
G4p- I'm glad you're so poorly Grin means the babba's growing well.

My tiredness has really lifted. Did grab a quick nap this avo though because had a crappy night's sleep. Kept waking and when I actually got to sleep, kept dreaming!

Already munched pasta for lunch and now pigging sticky toffee pavlova GrinGrin

I've got a long walk ahead later to ds1's parents evening so I know I'll burn off the calories Wink

wools · 09/03/2006 15:04

KK, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister....Life is so unfair sometimes. Surely though, there must be hope as the sonographer found a heartbeat. Will she be going back in the near future for a repeat scan?

kreamkrackers · 09/03/2006 15:13

she has to go back next week for a scan. i'm so upset for her, it's so unfair. i know she'll be blaming herself as she was when she didn't get pg before knowing the reason why. she's convinced herself that her body won't let her get pg again as she has perminent diabeties from her last pregnancy (which is very rare).

going4potty · 09/03/2006 15:44

Hk that sounds lovely and im glad im sick too, at least it makes me feel im not imagining it.

mygirllolipop · 09/03/2006 15:56

HK - snap I have a parents evening 2nite too.
KK- so sorry to hear about your sister but there is hope.

cori · 09/03/2006 16:09

HI everyone,
Antenatal appointment today, nothing unusual to report, baby moving well. Midwife said thought the baby was a completly average size and HB was perfect. She even said I had the blood pressure of a 17 year old. Thats what going on maternity leave early and having a midmorning nap will do for you. Am off to Yoga tonight.

OP posts:
going4potty · 09/03/2006 16:17

great news cori, god id like a mid morning nap!!!
Ds has started waking early (for him) and we are so not use to it.

twocatsonthebed · 09/03/2006 19:05

I quite fancy a mid-morning nap too, it's just that I don't think it would go down too well in the middle of an open-plan office (and our desks are glass-topped too, so there really is no hiding...)

kk - really sorry to hear about your sister, hope it works out ok

Arabica · 09/03/2006 22:58

I'm not bothered about a mid-morning nap but I would like a proper lie-in with breakfast in bed, newspapers, etc!

Arabica · 09/03/2006 22:59

Glad to hear you're doing OK, Cori. When shall we have our London mini meet up? How about w/c 20th March? I can do any day except Thurs.

slinkstah · 10/03/2006 00:28

cori glad your appointment went well, and having bp of a 17 year old, must be the maternity leave and yoga:)

arabica, i would prefer the week after, only because i have promised myself bedrest apart from hospital trips and school run until 28 weeks.

i have cervix scan tommorrow morning am really hoping the cervix lady can swab me too and not send me to antenatal as im always there! im sure they all think i just love peeing in a pot and waiting for hours with the same old magazinesGrin

Wills · 10/03/2006 08:13

Hi slink. Would love to join in on the London meetup but would have to co-oirdinate around work as have just extended my time at work until 6th April. Not sure how the heck I'm gonna keep going till then but we do need the money so am going to have to find the energy somewhere. Really looking forward to giving up!

mygirllolipop · 10/03/2006 08:50

2cats - they really are against you sleeping at work aren't they?
Slink - of course you like peeing in pots and waiting with the same mags! They think 'next time bring your own'!

Does anyone else have trouble with a small child pressing the restart button on their comp or is it just me?

HellKat · 10/03/2006 09:04

Morning all.
Slink- Good luck hun!!!!!
Mygirl- Oh god yes!!! Thank christ he stopped. Was driving me doolally!! We even wrapped an old jumper around the base unit to try and stop him but he just used to sneak his fingers under and do it.

Got a pic up of my 9 wk scan. Can't do links though (crappy keyboard has no backslash).
