Hi! I thought I'd better start a new thread now because it might get busy tomorrow morning and I don't want to lose you all Grin

I didn't know about the limit. I'm still completely humbled that I've had so many well-wishers Smile, so I feel a little self conscious. Although I think we've all been led down this path by the baby somewhat!

Am completely knackered tonight so will say goodnight and will endeavour to keep you posted on happenings tomorrow.

Thanks once again for keeping me company xxx

Pebble for president - just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world keep just doing what you've been doing x

jasmine51 · 08/02/2011 14:45

Thanks for the update southsea - glad you are being so well looked after. Really on tenterhooks now to hear the first virtual MN scream from your little pebble xx

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 08/02/2011 14:50

WHAT? Haven't you had that baby yet??!!
come on woman PUSH!
Grin

oooggs · 08/02/2011 14:56

barmbrack · 08/02/2011 14:59

Gosh you are such a patient lady!! Get some sleep while you can, southsea!

propercrimbo · 08/02/2011 14:59

wow southsea, you are the worlds most patient lady, I would be going out of my mind, I admire your strength.
Good luck Smile

sparkleshine · 08/02/2011 15:12

Oh another day before they will start the drip? Lets hope the Cervidil works well then later. I presume it's like the pessary they give you to soften the cervix. Do they not do sweeps there?
Are they still monitoring pebble?

Do they not realise there are people here waiting for pebble to arrive? Tell them it's a mumsnet emergency Grin [impaitient emoticon]

Lovely nurse you have to give you those gifts. So sweet.
I think they will miss you when you go

PrettyVacant1 · 08/02/2011 15:15

Grin @ Pebble for President.
More pom pom wavings from me.

It would be lovely to print these threads off and show Pebbles when she's older.

Thinking of you all and I hope you're getting some rest

mathanxiety · 08/02/2011 15:17

I've never heard of anyone in the US getting a sweep. They break the amniotic sac when labour is established, occasionally. But hopefully with no fluid left, once things get started labour will be efficient.

Sorry, talking about you, Southsea..

Figgyrolls · 08/02/2011 15:19

Oooh, marking my place - have read all threads and am so excited for you! Wowsers!

mummylin2495 · 08/02/2011 15:24

Another one wishing you well here ,but please have the baby before early hours of thurs as i am off to Finland and need to know Grin

Jacksmama · 08/02/2011 15:28

What??? Another day???
How are you not just tearing your hair out? I am!!!

Ok, here's an idea to pass the time. How would you feel, just for fun, about a Pebble sex/ weight pool? (I.e., everyone posts whether they think Pebble will be a boy or a girl and how much s/he will weigh)? I think it would be a blast. You want to?

Hermya321 · 08/02/2011 15:28

oooooo good luck!!!

Jacksmama · 08/02/2011 15:29

WTF is it with this bolding thing??? It did that to me yesterday too!!! Grrr.

Jacksmama · 08/02/2011 15:30

Sorry

MmeLindt · 08/02/2011 15:31

Ooh, you are having to wait.

How lovely that the nurses and other staff are so kind.

cookinmama · 08/02/2011 15:32

Apparently there are a few people lurking on this thread, so here's another one Grin Good luck hope things are going well

MmeLindt · 08/02/2011 15:32

Jacksmama
Are you using stars ** on either side of your sentence?

RunDMC · 08/02/2011 15:32

another long time lurker coming out of the shadows... nearly bubbling (in a very unMN way of course) about the lovely nurse giving you the present. Blaming the pg hormones Grin how sweet and hopefully it has eased the homesickness a bit.

OK - so I predict Pebble is a girl, and weight 4lb 8oz..

Good luck southsea !

propercrimbo · 08/02/2011 15:33

are you putting stars round things Jacksmama?

MrsDandBaby · 08/02/2011 15:35

I'll go for girl - no idea on weight at this stage, my DD was 6lb 1 at 36 wks, so guess around 5lb?

good luck for the next few days - hope everything goes smoothly for you from now on, you deserve it after the past few weeks!

Woodlands · 08/02/2011 15:40

I'll go for boy, 4lb9oz.

gabity · 08/02/2011 15:46

Another lurker here. I was induced 1 year ago today at 33 weeks and had my baby on 10/2/10 she was 4lb 8oz! Can't believe that same wee baby is now systamatically destroying my livingroom! Will be thinking of you.

I think you will have her on the 10th and she will be a girl! Grin

Truffkin · 08/02/2011 15:50

So excited for tomorrow's update! My wager is boy, 4lb 11oz

EauRouge · 08/02/2011 15:53

Ooh, I love baby sweepstakes Grin Girl, 5lb 2oz. Good luck Southsearocks!
