Hi! I thought I'd better start a new thread now because it might get busy tomorrow morning and I don't want to lose you all Grin

I didn't know about the limit. I'm still completely humbled that I've had so many well-wishers Smile, so I feel a little self conscious. Although I think we've all been led down this path by the baby somewhat!

Am completely knackered tonight so will say goodnight and will endeavour to keep you posted on happenings tomorrow.

Thanks once again for keeping me company xxx

Any minute now things could be starting... Come on Pebble! You can do it Southsea!

Southsearocks · 08/02/2011 14:38

You've really made me laugh this morning, I love the wit on MN Grin. I was shocked at how many posts there are!! I only started the thread last night!

Saw doc this am. Still busy on the ward so they are looking to start me off this afternoon/this evening providing things don't get hectic again. I feel like I'm stringing you along, sorry Blush. But I promise to keep you updated whatever is happening, it's the least I can do (no pressure people! Grin) The plan is to insert Cervidil to thin the cervix and leave it in overnight, then check the cervix tomorrow. Either they will repeat Cervidil for another 12 hours or will start the IV with Pitocin, which will start contractions. So we could still be here for some time I'm afraid! They did tell me it could take several days due to being a bit premature.

I had a nice surprise last night. One of the night nurses popped in and gave me a gift bag with some booties, a toy and a big blanket she has knitted for the baby! Honestly, what an amazing bunch they are at Riddle hospital. Everyone from the nurses, doctors, housekeeping, catering, blood ladies..... they've been instrumental in making this a better and more relaxed experience for me and DP. I feel so cared for. I think it's really helped with home sickness too. I don't know how I'm going to be able to thank them enough.

Ah well, another day of doing nothing then. I feel ok, and quite hungry, and then my stomach will lurch with nerves. Once DP gets here I'll be ok.

I'll let you know what happens later today! X
