Hi! I thought I'd better start a new thread now because it might get busy tomorrow morning and I don't want to lose you all Grin

I didn't know about the limit. I'm still completely humbled that I've had so many well-wishers Smile, so I feel a little self conscious. Although I think we've all been led down this path by the baby somewhat!

Am completely knackered tonight so will say goodnight and will endeavour to keep you posted on happenings tomorrow.

Thanks once again for keeping me company xxx

Southsearocks · 08/02/2011 22:20

Um.......

um.... there's been a couple of ladies admitted late this afternoon. So it's not happening now until tomorrow!! I'm so sorry! They might start me off tonight but it seems unlikely.

I just showed DP the sweepstakes and he laughed. I don't think he realised how many people are involved in this birth now Grin

The staff were feeling a bit worried about letting us know but we're fine with it. Especially as both ladies are having complications. What's one more day? It's great for the baby too to stay in there so I feel quite pleased. Sorry to be messing you about though, especially for people who were guessing for tomorrow! Apparently Friday will be the luckiest day of the year (11-2-11) so we might make that yet!

Ok, I'm going back to our Dr Who marathon now feeling VERY guilty..... I promise it will happen soon! x

Well, since I assume they're carrying on monitoring (rush or no rush) and the pebblster seems fine, the longer s/he stays in there the better. So go Pebble! And SouthSea too of course. And Mr SouthSea.

And have a few Wine Wine Wine from me.

weblette · 08/02/2011 22:28

Grin I'd like to lay odds on this making thread #3 by tomorrow lunchtime!
Enjoy another night's rest Southsea, all the best!

sharbie · 08/02/2011 22:41

he he Grin good luck

duchesse · 08/02/2011 22:46

My sweepstake entry (and I really wouldn't mind a 6 week holiday in the NE states but not stuck in hospital!) is:

Puppy Girl, 4lbs 3oz, Saturday 12/2 wee small hours

Jacksmama · 08/02/2011 22:51

February 9th is a much better day anyway :o

EveryonesJealousOfGingers · 08/02/2011 23:09

Phewee! Marking my place on the MAHOOSIVE new thread!

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 08/02/2011 23:12

can I throw my hat into the ring.

Pebble 4lb 2oz 3am(GMT)Friday morning.

CointreauVersial · 08/02/2011 23:14

Tut tut, keeping us waiting like this. Are you sure you're expecting??

Well, if we're all in suspense, I can only imagine how you must both be feeling. I'm so impressed at how well you seem to be handling the delays.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to check in tomorrow. Wink

blackletterday · 08/02/2011 23:14

You're going to be full term at this rate Southsea Grin. I say girl 3lb11oz, friday 12pm(GMT).

galwaygal · 08/02/2011 23:41

Hey Southsea don't worry about us, we will carry on being pleased that pebble stays put for a bit longer. Especially those who have predicted heavier weights and later arrival times!!!! The anticipation of this eventually becoming a labour thread is enough to keep most of us coming back.

However I do have a minor favour to ask, I am without internet connection for the next 48 hours, so please can you keep your legs crossed until then, as I really don't want to miss all the fun here!!!! Grin

Southsearocks · 09/02/2011 00:00

I had a horrible thought that people might believe I've made it all up! I haven't, honest! There really will be a baby and I will show you photo evidence when s/he arrives! Grin

God, thanks Duchesse, I could do with a few Wine Wine Wine

I haven't a clue how much the baby might weigh now. I'm guessing at least 4lbs and my tum is much rounder than it was when the last estimate was done, which was 3lb 1oz, 3 weeks ago? Could still be a tiddler though. My belly button is almost inside out and actually sticks right out (blee! Confused), and I absolutely cannot see my pubes, if that's any help.

Let's see what tomorrow brings. I'm not going to get my hopes up or have any expectations. I will of course keep you informed as the day progresses.

Oh god no, don't start your own troll hunt!!! LOL! :o

You should print this thread out for your OB team. They'd love it!

OK, so what time tomorrow are the festivities supposed to start? I'm not working tomorrow so can check obsessively all --day keep my fingers crossed for you all day!

Southsearocks · 09/02/2011 00:09

PS You are ALL amazing!

i hope all goes well and your a true inspiration xxx

Southsearocks · 09/02/2011 00:11

Jacksmama - lol! No way! No idea when or if it might start so all I can suggest is keep looking. I feel so guilty Sad....

OP posts:
awakeinthedark · 09/02/2011 00:12

Southsea... I don't think anyone would make something up and keep it going for so long! Lol

These things happen, and everyday little pebble (def a girl!) stays in the better!

And echoing the thoughts of others... Print this thread out! (and the one before!) when you're a few months into the future and can look back at this experience, I bet you'll feel like reading it and having a good cry looking at your perfect little DC!

Xx

not1not2 · 09/02/2011 00:14

Girl 6am UK time Friday morning 4lbs 5 oz

oopslateagain · 09/02/2011 00:22

Southsea - good to hear you are in good spirits! Pebble will be so lucky to have you and your dp as parents.

You DO know that whatever name you choose, he/she will always be 'Pebble' in some corner of your mind... Grin

Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

OliveonThePaulMcKennaBus · 09/02/2011 00:24

Another lurker here. Wishing you all the best.

Jacksmama · 09/02/2011 00:48

ROFL at not being able to see pubes!! I'm quite a little obsessed with personal hygiene, so was absolutely horrified about a week after JB's birth to look down, heave my jelly-belly out of the way and see a thatch worthy of a Cotswolds cottage down there. Looked nothing like my previously well-groomed ladygarden. Of course, neither did the rest of my bits :o

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 09/02/2011 01:06

I'm not pregnant and I can't remember the last time I could see my feet pubes whilst standing up! Blush

Stop worrying about us waiting - we'll still need our daily fix once he arrives you know - for, say, the next.... 40 years Grin

TastesLikePanda · 09/02/2011 01:13

Hey, we all want pebble to stay ut until all is well, so I think you'll be closer to 35 weeks by the time it's all done and dusted!!!

[getting far to invested in this thread emoticon]
