Nemo: That is the last thing in the world that you need when you are already stressed about money...

We are in a similar situation here with DH's income tax. The amount that we owe far exceeds our current earnings and I really can't see the light at the end of this tunnel.

munz · 14/10/2005 17:50

ah a girl after my own hear - althou My DH gets - strawberrys nuts that don't contain caramel, coffee, and lequire ones (well I have the caramel fudge toffee and palin choccy).

I got some of those cadburys ones in the week - she share ones - I only got to eat the fruit and nut/plain choc as that's all I liked - the git ate the rest of the box - was about 4 other variaties.

Nemo666 · 14/10/2005 17:50

lol munz the £1.39 was a one off completely..never repated again. Am just annoyed cos when baby comes means we miss out on that extra money to so dont know what we are going to do.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 17:51

Money is crap.... why cant everything be free? Why does everything have to cost? GRRRRRRRRR

We currently live on £28.50 a week tax credit money because the wages dont stretch as far as i need them to..... and the chances are that is going to be taken away...... GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Cadmum · 14/10/2005 17:52

It is 12:45 here and I haven't even thought about dinner let alone tea...

I need to try to get out of this funk. I am just SO blue.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 17:52

cadmum its rubbish isnt it. What can we do though..lol I got my maternity grant this morning to be greeted by a 8am phonecall from a debt collector wanting money. Then someone else cos dh was stupid last year and lent his friend £7000 from a credit card and now turns out said friend hasnt paid the bill in 3mths so we had to pay £200 to stop them turning up at the door. Not impressed at all Esp because his mate has just spent past 2 wks sunning himself in florida. At the time I told dh he was soft but think he trusted his mate...obviosuly shouldnt have done. So out my £500 allowance I know have a whopping £180 left, then had to do a food shop and have bills etc coming out and have just about managed to balance ,my account so it doesnt go over the overdraft...as long as bank agrees to freeze the £120 charge this month...arghhhhhhhhhhhh

Cadmum · 14/10/2005 17:58

I suppose that I should feed my little people and think of some more activities for this afternoon...

Thanks for sharing a cuppa and some of these virtual calories with me.

Nemo666 · 14/10/2005 17:59

JABM its a nightmare i regret ever having claimed but now we need it as we just dont have the money at all.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 17:59

OH MY GOD Nemo..... that is really bad. You need to get your DH's mate to sort it out - that is not only VERY silly of DH to agree it in the first place, but damn out of order for him not to be paying it.

I really hope your DH can kick this "mate" up the arse pretty sharpish.

Cadmum · 14/10/2005 18:00

Sorry Nemo. Posts crossed. I was not trying to ignore you.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 18:01

Cadmum - enjoy your afternoon and hurry back with more yummy treats!

Cadmum · 14/10/2005 18:03

Money is the root of all evil!

I can't imagine what excuse your DH's friend could possibly have for not making a payment when he is off sunning himself.

I, unfortunately have no advice. We are useless with money. Regardless of our income we seem to spend at least 10% more and that means big debts...

Nemo666 · 14/10/2005 18:03

lol cad its ok

jabm he has been on the phone to said friend today who has 'promise'[i use the word lightly cos he has also promised the past 3 mths that bill was paid] to pay the bill as he has borrowed the money and that he will come down with the £200 I had to pay this morning. WE shall see but I will be giving him a piece of my mind as he is fully aware of our money situation and also the fact i have depression and get so stressed. I told dh to tell him that baliffs had actually knocked looking for money

Nemo666 · 14/10/2005 18:05

OP posts:
Nemo666 · 14/10/2005 18:11

of course super noodles..lol we have them about once a week for either lunch or tea..lol Hence the kettle boiling so they are quick. Will cut some baguette to go with them in a min.

DH friend was always ok but with this he has peed me off mainly because as dh was driving him to the airport he asked if the bill had been paid and mate swore blind it had.

I am 31 wks now..just had to work it out..lol

Cadmum · 14/10/2005 18:14

What are super noodles?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 18:16

instand noodles with a falvouring sachet that gets added - chicken ones are my fave!

A really quick easy dinner!

OP posts:
Nemo666 · 14/10/2005 18:18

Cadmum · 14/10/2005 18:18
