When did your period return when exclusively breastfeeding?

I feel like it was five and a half months with my first.

My second child is over six months old and still no period! No im not pregnant 🤣

And did you have any signs when it was coming?

I had a one off at I think 8 months then nothing until 15 months when it came back regularly.

A year for me!

Mine didn't come back until I was down to a couple of feeds a day - 9 months with my first, 11 months with second

It was about a year

Once they were night weaned/sleeping through the night - around 7-9 months I think.

14 months with my first. 2 months with my second 😫

5 months with dc1 (weaning was started at 4 months then).
6 months with dt ( I'd started weaning at 5 months as per doctors).
There was definitely a pattern.

Four weeks FFS.

22 months for me and I had the most horrendous ovulation pains so it wasn’t a surprise when my period showed up 12 days later. I’m still feeding and my cycle is varying from 26 to 38 days.

I wish it had stayed away a bit longer, I didn’t miss it one bit!

I thought I had one coming when DS was about 8 weeks. Nothing came of it though and I’ve have nothing since. He’s nearly 17 weeks so I’m interested in these replies.

About 8 weeks both times. And they were both exclusively breastfed at that point 🤦‍♀️

8 weeks 😭 I felt cheated. She fed bloody loads too

Too bloody quickly! About 6 months max, iirc.

And all of mine were bloody leeches who consumed gallons.

With both my babies, my period came literally the day after I started the on solids at 6 months after EBF. I guess that small drop milk consumption on weaning day triggered it.

Over a year - about 13/14 months with both of my EBF babies.

6 weeks - felt cheated after hearing loads of stories about how bf would mean no periods.

Five bloody weeks, with both of my bf children. Both exclusively bf, not a drop of formula.

I wouldn't have minded but with my formula fed kids it came back at 6 weeks!

Still bf five years on 😆

Over a year, with both children. Approx 15 months. One of the best things about breastfeeding!

8 weeks I was gutted!!!!

I think it was 14 months with my first, I combi fed. The first few periods were horrendous, like 16 days long. Like it was making up for lost time.

So far I'm at 7 months with my second, also combi fed (mostly BF), still no period thankfully.

I'm not impatient to get it back tbh!

Although I feel it may arrive in the next few months, I’ve started getting a few twinges here & there.
