I feel like it was five and a half months with my first.

My second child is over six months old and still no period! No im not pregnant 🤣

And did you have any signs when it was coming?

Around 9/10 months for all three of mine.

Chaiilatte · 20/07/2024 09:37

About 18 months.

Toasticles · 20/07/2024 09:37

#1 was at 8 months pp
#2 11 months pp
#3 13 months pp
#4 16 months pp

Within 3 months both times and I was still exclusively feeding all through the night. Also still had af with the mirena coil....apparently my body loves having af!

Aquamarine1029 · 20/07/2024 09:38

Four weeks, with each child.

CornflakesOnTheSolesOfHerShoes · 20/07/2024 09:39

Oh immediately. Fed them both for a year, without a hint of anything else till six months, and periods came back as soon as postnatal bleeding finished…

Dragonfly909 · 20/07/2024 09:39

Eight months with first, fourteen months with second. Both after a drop in night feeds. I don't think I had much indication before the first period suddenly turned up!

dimsumfatsum · 20/07/2024 09:49

6 weeks. I was really pissed off.

Beginningless · 20/07/2024 09:52

I was under 6 months too, also felt cheated.

Misthios · 20/07/2024 09:54

12 weeks post partum with each of three children, all exclusively breastfed at that point.

For that reason I'd never advise anyone to rely on breastfeeding as contraceptive protection.

Notthatcatagain · 20/07/2024 09:55

28 days exactly both times, my milk had gone by a week after

RidingMyBike · 20/07/2024 09:58

I asked my GP when I saw her for something else as I was concerned mine wasn't back despite combi feeding rather than EBF. She said anything up to a year was considered normal and they wouldn't do any tests until then.

Mine eventually came back just before a year despite 50/50 combi and no night feeds after eight weeks.

It does seem to be very variable - a friend accidentally got pregnant at six weeks PP despite EBF round the clock! She's now got two in the same school year...

RappersNeedChapstick · 20/07/2024 20:00

18 months both times. 'Twas bliss Wink

whatajoke26 · 20/07/2024 20:02

6 weeks after giving birth. I felt cheated as I had just finished postpartum bleeding.

That's rough!

GulliverUnravels · 20/07/2024 20:07

Over 2 years with DC1 (who breastfed until age 3, but very sporadically by that point). DC2 is 20 months, breastfeeding a couple times a day and there's no sign of a period yet.

Petal7 · 20/07/2024 22:09

about a year

Imnotarestaurant · 20/07/2024 22:16

18 months with my second (on my birthday 😔) My first was 11 months but she had the odd bottle of formula.

No signs- went to the toilet in a restaurant and had to use toilet paper to get through the night

theprincessthepea · 22/07/2024 16:15

I’m EBF and had what seemed like a period after 3 months but I seem to get super light spotting that lasts about 4 days every fortnight which is so annoying!!!

magneticmum · 31/07/2024 21:02

Mine came back after 1 month. I was so annoyed lol.

KhanAli04 · 04/08/2024 22:53

straight away! And regular, i definitely feel cheated as I did not miss this feeling one bit. Exclusively BF

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 04/08/2024 22:55

About 6 months for both DS1 & 2.
And now I'm pregnant again when DS2 is only 8 months old

Newsenmum · 23/09/2024 19:46

Mines still not back, not complsining. 🤭 Can you remember how you felt just before it returned and if there were any signs?
