Thought the title might be appropriate for both mums and babies

OP posts:

As ever TS, wise words which personally I agree with - I say personally because it works for us and the boys but I also understand it's not everyone's bag.

So, I got a distinction in my research proposal which spurrs me on to do well with the dissertation. Thanks for your fb thanks!

loti hugs to you, I hope you find the right childcare arrangements for you and dd2

Dh away for 2 nights - gone camping on a male-bonding trip with old uni boys. They are 42. What can go wrong? . where has hotpot gone camping?

dizzydixies · 02/07/2010 22:01

Oh well done Cece, thats brilliant!!!

pertelote · 02/07/2010 22:08

Dizzy massive . Be kind to yourself.

Hullo everyone else, how cute are all your littlies! Sorry not to catch up properly AGAIN, have been running round crazily this week but tomorrow it all pays off as we are off to France with the ILs for a fortnight. Eurostar tomorrow then train down to S.West on sunday. Only slightly dreading the travel

So must go and get some sleep, much love to you all, Miamla don't you go having a baby while I'm gone please! Looking forward to being back and birthday season starting for our fabulous Aug08ers.

CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2010 22:08

dizzy massive hugs to you, can't believe its 2 years since you were posting about your mum passing away, but then I can't believe our lo's are nearly 2. Give yourself all the time you need, and please hand yourself some credit. You are an immensely strong woman and deserve every happiness in life. Pah, that seems trite. what i'm trying to say is that emotional pain is immense and what sucks is that noone can see it. Its shit and its not fair and just fucking RAAHHHHH.

CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2010 22:11

and of course, we're all here for all of it. eVery little thing. Like cyteen I've had a glass of wine

oopsandbabycoconut · 02/07/2010 22:12

Dizzy - remember it hasn't been that long and you did have him so are allowed to miss him. The looming work and the anny of losing your mum will make things seem more out of perspective but you are are still grieving and please don't feel you need to get over it just yet. I promise it will get easier but it will take a while so be gentle on yourself and if those shift cows start their crap I know a whole bunch of us will be tooled up and there before you can blink. {{HUGS}}

MrsMiamla · 02/07/2010 22:18

pert i'll try not to

oops baby got lots of cuddles and kisses from DS too today! oh and a few slaps but i'm ignoring those!

dizz exactly... you do need to be kind to yourself.

poppy wow! that's gorgeous!!

oh and thanks to the good influence of miniPert and miniAlbs last week, DS can now say his own name He often wanders round the room pointing out all of his things to us.... 'Tee a dors car' 'tee a dors van' 'tee a dors quack quack' etc

dizzydixies · 02/07/2010 22:18

ooh Pert have a lovely lovely holiday

Cece - a fecking RRAAHHHH is sometimes just what is required, thank you Rose flowing here much to the disgust of my father who has decided due to my FB updates that I am infact a lush.

Oops, I think it has something to do with the fact the work is in the papers this weekend scheduling massive job cuts, starting with the civvies.

Thank you all for being so kind about it all. I don't like talking out loud about if iyswim, its just plain easier on here.

Cheryl now on FB and ladies, please remember she is not yet 7 and come and WEEP with me in anticipation of trouble ahead

oopsandbabycoconut · 02/07/2010 22:21

Dizzy - you are so going to have trouble with that stunning girl in the not too distant future!

GladioliBuckets · 02/07/2010 22:22

Miamla Your branch would pay the costs and maybe some/all expenses. BFC training is like an Open Uni PG thing, can take years depending how much you take on at once.

dizzydixies · 02/07/2010 22:22

Oops, I'm not just being biased here am I??

CaptainCaveman · 02/07/2010 22:24

Good choice dizzy you lush, I'm on the white stuff here, all by myself

MrsMiamla · 02/07/2010 22:25

you're really not dizz! she is stunning and you will have trouble with her in the future!

cool, thanks buckets

oopsandbabycoconut · 02/07/2010 22:28

Dizzy - no bias at all. BUT pleaase will you dress her like a little girl again tomorrow - too grown up looking for nearly 7.

oopsandbabycoconut · 02/07/2010 22:29

Well it's good night from me - DD2 is sleeping and DH is playing cars on the PS3 so going to get my sleep before he comes up to disturb me.

MrsMiamla · 02/07/2010 22:30

right my lovely ladies, i'd love to stay and chat but i've got a ticket to ride and the destination is Bedward

I personally think you're all lush (in Wales that's actually a compliment!)

dizzydixies · 02/07/2010 22:33

I love that Miamla, my friend on Cardiff calls everything lush and she sounds divine when she does!

Night oops, have sent you a wee message on FB but its nothing exciting!

oopsandbabycoconut · 02/07/2010 22:37

Dizzy - it was VERY exciting and has cost me money!!

MrsMiamla · 02/07/2010 22:37

DH's cousins describe everything as being lush!

right, i really am going now... DH is due back any minute and if i'm still up when he returns, i won't get to bed for hours because he'll want to stay up and chat!

dizzydixies · 02/07/2010 22:47

lord Oops you're quick! I haven't managed to decide but will have another look in the morning

dizzydixies · 02/07/2010 22:48

Oops, she'll be back to being a wee girl tomorrow. Oh and I should mention her dress did have straps on it - they were just attached after I'd taken the photos they're in the ones at the show though - I was too busy fighting with the safety pins at that point

TwilightSurfer · 03/07/2010 01:57

the weather this evening is extremely lovely. there's a breeze and the temp is very mild. i walked the cul-de-sac just like i did when carrying reese in my belly. i closed my eyes and put my hands on my stomach so i could bring back all the wonderful belly memories. like miamla is now, i was 32 weeks this time two years ago. wow time flies.

luckoftheirish · 03/07/2010 07:44

Morning ladies ..

thanks for all your lovely comments re dd2.. really struggling to make a decision. She goes to a cm two mornings a week which includes going to a little playgroup and she loves it...

i was trying nursery for her to try and play with some kiddies her own age as well as give me a day to sort house/me time etc... but maybe she is just not ready??? she will go to preschool in dd1 school nxt sept anyway and as she is my baby thinking maybe i'll just keep her with me .. need to have another think..

well done cece

dizzy please feel so free to write your thoughts on here we are all here and routing for you.. its my only time i can truly express my feelings knowing that you lovely ladies won't judge, offer amazing advice and be so supportive.. [hugs].. ps your dd1 is GORGEOUS ..

mrs m glad pea is doing really well and i too am [shocked] that you are 32 weeks... the blocks with be for my step d but she is not due til feb so i will offer lots of warning ..

cyteen i predict a wonderful wedding followed very quickly by an announcement about a sibling for ds ...

well its a lovely day, til feeling really rubbish with this kidney infection but as i have the girls all day again today, i need to brave it out!! "h" new game is playing cricket .. first it was football season the wc and now cricket!!!!

MrsMiamla · 03/07/2010 08:39

TS that's such a beautiful thing to do

hi loti, i feel the same as you about this bunch of hairy truckers.. not judging, offering advice etc. I just wonder how we were so lucky in all finding each other. I know for a fact mine wouldn't be the same without you lot. If i was asked to predict in Nov 07 (is that right?!) how many of us would still be in touch in Summer '10, I wouldn't have guessed anywhere near as many as we are. I think its amazing that so many lovely friendships have been formed

ok, enough of being soppy, off to drink my tea now...morning all

CaptainCaveman · 03/07/2010 11:05

well said miamla, well said

You lot are rather gorgeous y'know

O currently trying to stick his fingers in the cats ears . Cat is just lying there trying to sleep through it

Why is it that the minute I get dressed the frigging sun goes in?!
