We have often joked that I'm going to write a book and make my millions :)
I really don't know how but I seem to deal with it all really well as you know I'm a twin and she is totally opposite to me she cracks under the smallest setbacks so maybe I've got the strength of two!!

CantThinkofFunnyName · 12/09/2010 19:14

She said mama!!!! In fact she has not stopped saying it for the past 2 hours Grin

Clever little babies!

Am off to docs this morning, think I've got mastitis and feel soooo rough.

Went to bed at 8pm last night thinking I was just tired, but no better today.

Had visit from HV yesterday. Noop doing well, dispite her aversion to actual food, and is now 15lb 12.5oz.
Made up some mush for her at teatime, DS2 asked if he could feed her, I said ok, thinking there's no chance he'll get any in her... but she gobbled it down. I cant believe she even opened her mouth! Obviously the answer to getting her to eat is to let a 5YO feed her WinkGrin

Mama2b5 · 14/09/2010 19:37

hi all- clever babies we have - he is saying "hiya" "dada"and he understands "No"when he is set free he crawls over to the tv and starts banging it,and trying to eat it! he also looks out of the window banging it when he sees a bird! im amazed at how smart he really is and hears everything!!!!!! when he eats something he doesnt like he blows raspberries and it goes everywhere!

we dont have loads of money but i have decided to take a full year offso come next month will not have a monthly salary coming in! but i not worried and i know we will manage!!!!!
kids all settled in schools, college and im getting back my days! last friday i lost my brand new iphone4 which i never even insured because ive never lost any ever so this was ashock reported to police and hoping a kind person will hand in, put advert on gumtree! and praying!

sockmonkey · 19/09/2010 07:51

CTOFN & Ali - How are things going with work?

Hello everyone else!
It's gone quiet here hasn't it?
Noop now thisclose to crawling, but tends to get around by rolling to where she wants to be (usually near some wires).

I'm still not happy with getting back to the old school routine. Roll on October half term.

CantThinkofFunnyName · 19/09/2010 17:06

Oooh - I'm not back at work yet - just looking really. Have managed to get a contract which probably starts mid-October for a year. Working from home, Account/Sales Director for an event which I can do standing on my head and running a team of 20 sales people all over the world. Basically all they need to do is send me reports, I nag them and file reports on behalf of them. That will do. Don't want to do ANYTHING else.

Olivia so so so close to walking all on her own. Little tinker.

sockmonkey · 22/09/2010 17:52

How is everyone doing? Gone quiet on here again. Hope that means everyone is happy and getting on well with our little babies.

One of my friends has had a little baby... and suddenly Noop seems massive in comparrison. What's up with that?! I just want to keep her little and scrummy, but she has other ideas. Did not do so well last night. Snotty noses do not make for peaceful nights. Was getting by on getting up just once, but must have been 6 times last night. I know it's not her fault, but doesn't make it any less tiring.

alibobins · 22/09/2010 20:36

Jacob is no where near walking or crawling he doesn't even pull himself up he is still my little squidgy baby :)
He has just move into 6-9 month clothes and weighs around 18lb.

Hope noop feels better soon :(

Mama2b5 · 23/09/2010 16:58

Hope noop had a better night last night! hate when lil bubs r ill so not nice! Sad
so lil b has 3 soon to be 4 teeth they r coming quick and fast,he is eating and is open to tasting new things Yehhhhhhhh like a real trooper! he really like chicken, the only problem is when it comes out the other end its just so stinky and lumpy! carrots come out as they went in!!!!( will stop the poo talk now!)

Still no word about my iphone, i really have to deal with it being gone and me not getting it back! Sad Sad

Newbeginning1 · 24/09/2010 13:57

ctofn - well done with getting the contract. I really don't know how you manage it all Hmm

sock - are you over your mastitis now? I know what you mean about the babies seeming so big now. I find it hard to remember DS as a newborn which is so weird. I hope Noop gets better soon.

mam2b5 - Sad about your phone. I know what you mean about chicken, it's put me right off it and the sames happened with sweetcorn.

ali - how are things with you and how is it being back at work? You found me on facebook Smile

Has anyone heard from londonlottie, crumpette or wmdo?

DS has 5 teeth and is getting his 6th and is just getting so big but is so incredibly clingy still. I'm dreading putting him in nursery because i think it will take him ages to settle in.

I've decided on the name of Treasure Forever for my business, what do you think?

alibobins · 24/09/2010 17:58

new took me ages as you don't use your full name lol.
Love love love the name think it really suits the business :)
It's okay being at work but Jacob is taking a while to settle and is extra clingy when we are at home. It's a shame you don't live closer then Jack could come and play with Jacob at nursery :)

superparty · 27/09/2010 14:35

Hi all

Sorry its been soooooo long.

Hope all babies and mummies are doing fine.

I'm hating being back at work, and missing my erin loads.

She now has 6 teeth and the usual babling 'mama, dada' and definately understands when you say no, although she takes no notice. we are at the pulling ourselves up stage, have had one fall with banged teeth and lots of blood, but no further damage.

I'm now 24 wks pg, with my little boy, and everything is good, until sat when my siatica started, although i am now convinced it may be pelvic girdle pain, so I am now sat at work in agony hobbling around on crutches, I think i've been lucky to get away with it until now, having only just had erin. I am going to make an appointment to see physio and maybe get one of those belts.

new love the name for the business, be sure to include me on the mailing list.

waves to everyone else Smile

Mama2b5 · 28/09/2010 10:17

ahhhh Thanks New-just taken out insurance due to not having any.
And loving the name of your business!well done!
Grin
Hi Party and co( big wave and mini wave to baby-party) ohh don't you just hate it when they fall and hurt themselves, hope erin wont be put off and continues to develop in leaps and bounds!Grin
wow 24 weeks that is just flying past! i hope you do get support for your pelvis for i suffered with it and its not nice at all, worse pain i have experienced before labour!
i have decided to take more time off work, so cant afford it but really need to get isaiah more settled and have no one/where for him to go yet! so fingers crossed if we survive with only 1 income, will be off until he is a year!

well im off to visit my friend and her son, not happy with the awful weather need to wrap up to prevent any more colds and sniffs!

Newbeginning1 · 30/09/2010 20:08

waves everone Grin

superpart - it's so good to hear from you Smile I can't believe you're 24 weeks already, time really is going so fast. I didn't have any girdle pain or anything so is it something that the physio can help you with??

mam2b5 - i'm taking the full year off and I now have 3 months unpaid coming which coincides with my nieces birthday, Christmas and of course my little mans birthday so im buying as I go. Are you wanting to put Isaiah into nursery or are you going down the childminder route?

ali - has Jacob got any better at settling whilst he's at nursery? Jack would love a play date with Jacob at some point Smile

ctofn - how are things with your clan?

DS is loving pulling himself up and is going along on his knees now pushing things so im sure it wont be long and he will be walking. He's got 6 teeth and is a terror at the moment but i've finally sorted out getting him into his cot. It's taken tears and me being firm but at least he's slept in there for all of his naps and the nights since Tuesday. Grin I've also given up bfing so i know have the saggiest empty boobs Sad

TMI warning - as i've stopped bfing my periods have started again Sad Random question, but if i use tampons are they going to fall out? Not that my flange is like a hippos mouth and I can't imagine it would be like pushing a welly through an alley but still. Blush

For any of you that want to feel free to have a look at Treasure Forever on facebook here Honest feedback would be great.

somewhathorrified · 01/10/2010 10:23

HI all, wow it's been ages since I was on here. Tobin's doing well i think his molars are giving him jip and we're still varying massively on how well he's sleeping, managed every 3 hrs last night :(

New what a great idea for a business. Have to say we got one of those 3d hand print picture things, which require yu holding baby's hand in a tub of latex for about 3 mins without moving Hmm if I'd read the intructions I wouldn't have bought the thing, as it was DH tried to do it, first batch of latex went off b4 he reached the baby, 2nd (and last) batch went all over baby! and pram and clothes and blanket. Note to self, never again.

Right, that's my time up, have fun.

alibobins · 01/10/2010 19:42

new did you make the casts yourself is it easy to do?

sockmonkey · 02/10/2010 17:10

That one of the hand is amazing new

We have a crawler... not very fast yet, but fairly determined to get into things she shouldn't. Why the attraction to wires? Electro-Magnets in her nappy?

Newbeginning1 · 03/10/2010 18:41

swh - poor Tobin. DS seems to be struggling with his teeth as he gets more but I hoped he would find it easier. He's found that biting me though is always good. Fingers crossed you get some sleep tonight and so does he.

sock - the attraction to wires is super annoying. So is the attraction to any tiny bits of food on the floor or not even food just anything they can get their hands on. Not fun.

ali - I made the casts myself and they are fairly simple to do. As swh says it can be really easy for something to go wrong though. The first time I tried it I got the mixture over DS' jeans and car seat, the next lot his toes touched the sides so i didnt get a good impression, another lot set before I got the impression and then finally I got that hand. I'm hoping that people might be more interested in it if I came and did the impression for them and all they have to do is hold their baby.

How is everyone else? I hope you have all had a good weekend.

sneakapeak · 04/10/2010 10:15

Psssst....

lifts disguise

It's me WMDO! I can't do it anymore. Im back to virtual world again! I will tell you all in a minute why.

Wow, superparty, your having a boy, that lovely news. A boy at either end, em, well, you know what I mean! Your girls will love fussing over their wee brother. Awww.

Ive had no time to read it all.

How is everyone, any news/goss? Hope you are all good.

Im back on Mnet because......Ive started pissing myself Shock.

Yes thats right, wee leakage has darkened my doorstep - Help.

All pissypants in the room please raise their hands?

I can't believe it, im devastated.
I had a c-sect with DS so no issues after that.

Olivia is 9.5 months old and I had no probs whatsoever afterwards. Then I threw myself into excercise classes 3 weeks ago - bodypump (weightlifting) which I think may have done it, then it was at a high impact class I realised I could not longer run, do jumping jacks or scissor feet without going jump wee jump wee jump wee ShockShockShock.

I had to run to the loo. Since then, Ive had it just walking around a bit - what Have I done.

HELP ME, tell me how to make it stop. I can't not excercise FFS.

Will pelvic floors really be enough to stop it?

Have you all been weeing away on here an not mentioned it or am I indeed an incontinent freak?

Bet your glad im back bringing the tone down!

I will tell you about the kids later but they are so not important compared to my trauma right now!

superparty · 04/10/2010 12:37

hi all

pssst (literally) eh sneak sorry not laughing Hmm, you need to get yourself referred to your local continence service asap, if they're are owt like my nurses they are loverly and will help you out, we also have a womens physio as well.high impact areobic exercise of any kind ie; running ,jumping etc can have an impact on pelvic floor and make you leak after birth. luckily I'm ok at mo but the amount of traffic thats been through my flu I don't think I'll get past 40 before it comes to me.
Nice to have you back btw Smile

Erin - we now have lift off, pulling ourself up on everything and anything, tres scary re; falling, I don't remember being this protective over the others.

waves to everyone

new will have alook at facebook link when i get home, as can't access it at work.

sockmonkey · 04/10/2010 12:51

sneak any chance it could be a bladder infection? For it to come on 9 months later seems a bit odd. It may be embarrasing but a trip to GP may be in order.

CantThinkofFunnyName · 04/10/2010 13:51

Hello everyone. Sorry have been absent for a bit. Been very busy taking on the school's Xmas fete organising this year and last week DH got made redundant!!!

Completely out of the blue, very suspect and actually not a redundancy by employment law at all. So with 2 days consultation notice, on Friday he met with them, gave them both barrels and has managed to walk away with everything he asked for and more. Phew - breathe huge sigh of relief. For a couple of days I was beside myself, but now at least, can see light at the end of the tunnel.

So - on to ventures new. DH joining my "company" to do his own consultancy thing. I run the business, do the books, all the legalities, contracts, invocies etc - which saves me from having to go back to work anyway - woohoo! He just better get his finger out and bring in some high paying jobs pronto.

What a palaver!

Oh - Olivia is doing just fine. Still not quite walking, lots of cruising and even faster crawling. Cut her FIRST TOOTH properly. A fang. That's why she's been such a misog. Oh, she also says mama, dada, and makes other noises.

Right - going now as feel pretty wretched - think a chest infection is on its way Sad. Sorry, haven't addressed anyone individually! Waves to all xx

OP posts:
sneakapeak · 05/10/2010 08:22

Ha ha super! I can't believe I didnt notice all the pee related refrences!

I wish someone had told me about not doing high impact jumping running etc as there was absolutely no issues for 9 months.

Will have to see about it (Blush). My doctor surgery is crap althoug there is one female doc with 3 kids around my age so im hoping she has been prone to leakage!

No sock, ive definitely not got a urine infection.

How is your mum getting on?

ali how is Jacob and DD?

Have to run, Evan got nursery this morning.
