OrangePetal · 23/04/2010 18:48

oh loti, what he said to you was horrible. can you still pop out and see some friends on your own?

RedLentil · 23/04/2010 18:51

I think I would say, 'I may be near the bottom of your priority list, but I'm not at the bottom of mine', grab the keys and go. And not come back until at least 10 or, if brave enough, tomorrow morning.

You need to decide what you have the strength to do right now though. Just please remember that you haven't fucked up, and you can refuse to give him the reaction he wants to his abusive language.

hotterpotter · 23/04/2010 18:51

Oh Loti your H is a twat and you have been making excuses for him as long as I have known you Sweetie you really need to think hard about what you actually want from life and make sure you get it in one way or another. You are too lovely a person to keep putting up with this shit

(TS good swerve there...)

RedLentil · 23/04/2010 18:54

TS- that was a perfect recovery by the way. I can never do 'it' and tend to say one or the other. My sister calls her own babies 'it' until the day they arrive and that always sounds a bit peculiar to me!

luckoftheirish · 23/04/2010 18:59

good recovery ts..

if i went out i would just be driving around insanly and tbh just want to be close to my girls right.. what i need is for him to go out and leave me to think.. he is currently lying on the sofa listening to his iphone .. not sure whether he is going to go out night i hope/pray he is.. what a holy mess ..

thank you for your kind words as always.. lately feel like all i do is moan/moan/moan so thank you for putting up with me xx

RedLentil · 23/04/2010 19:09

We're not putting up with you.
We like you very much, and want to help however we can.

TwilightSurfer · 23/04/2010 19:12

yes, we like you very much!

LOTI he really sounds like such an arse. DOn't answer if you feel this is too personal: what do you get out of the relationship? Does he have any good points? Does he ever make up for this crap in other ways?
And don't worry about moaning to us - we've all done a fair amount of moaning on here

TwilightSurfer · 23/04/2010 19:19

I am sitting on the sofa watching Little Women while Reese sleeps and the window guy replaces the window in my hall bath.

Oh spoke to soon...Reese is awake.

QueenofDreams · 23/04/2010 19:20

ts what swerve where what ?

oopsandbabycoconut · 23/04/2010 19:25

Oh Loti - he really has no idea does he!

We decided to drive straight past Ikea today and headed for John Lewis (much more civilized) we were in the door, up to nursery department, wardrobe/drawers combo purchased for same price as Ikea thingies would have been. Delivery organised and we were out in 20mins. My watch broke the other day so I sent it to manufacturer to repair nad it has come back with a huge quote to fix it so DH bought me a new one, and we headed off to here(I didn't know there was one locally ) for coffee and cake to sustain us for our homeward journey. Came home napped and waited for DD to be returned.

DH out hunting dinner (he went out saying I'll be back in a bit with dinner so it could be anything. DD still awake as ILs let her sleep the whole way back from wildlife park.

Singa - we got DD a Little Tikes cottage which has a built in kitchen and she loves it. We chose it because it slots together and can be taken down for the winter and flat packed in the garage.

How quiet do you think the weekend will be with Sazz in gay Paree??

oopsandbabycoconut · 23/04/2010 19:26

QOD - TS referred to Miamla's new bundle as she on FB and no-one else knows yet.

preg brain here WHO IS ORANGE PETAL?

QueenofDreams · 23/04/2010 19:30

LOL TS oops!
Second oops who is orange petal?

TwilightSurfer · 23/04/2010 19:33

I'm all about stumbling in the real world. Do it even offline so it's not surprising. The good thing about online stumbling is the ability to backtrack. Not an easy task when face to face with someone.

No clue who Orange Petal is but I like the name.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 23/04/2010 19:35

Is it Gardenia?

OP posts:
GreenGardenia · 23/04/2010 19:37

I'm green, mate.

oopsandbabycoconut · 23/04/2010 19:41

confuddled!!

TS has a gift for backing out of these situations she nearly dropped me in it before I told anyone we were expecting thankfully no-one on my FB was ever clever enough to notice.

TwilightSurfer · 23/04/2010 19:43

like i said, i'm good at stumbling.

GreenGardenia · 23/04/2010 19:44

LOTI I don't usually come in strong on the relationship advice but you have got to sort things out with your husband - the marriage has to work for both of you in a way that pleases both of you most of the time, not in a way that pleases one of you most of the time and the other of you none of the time. I know your dh has had flashes of more copped-on behaviour but you are setting yourself up for a lifetime of doormatting unless you have a serious conversation with him right now. Not speaking to one another over the weekend is going to be a disaster, you'll be miserable, the girls will absorb the bad atmosphere, getting through a family / friends barbecue on Sun will be a nightmare. Collar the guy and lay your cards on the table. No more short term solutions, no more YOU doing all the compromising, no more you putting aside your real needs / wants from the relationship.

Please understand I am saying this in absolute affection for you and because I think you deserve a happy and satisfying relationship, so please don't take offence.

TwilightSurfer · 23/04/2010 19:44

good to know you didn't change your name, mate. hmm so who is this mystery person????

OP posts:
GreenGardenia · 23/04/2010 19:47

I know from a little light detective work, but my lips are sealed.

Let's leave her be if she's namechanged for a reason, eh?

TwilightSurfer · 23/04/2010 19:57

hey anybody heard from dizzy today?

OP posts:
luckoftheirish · 23/04/2010 19:58

also wondering who orange petal is ..

no offence taken what so ever gg.. just tried to talk to him and he said he wasn't ready to talk,,still too mad at me.. he has gone upstairs so take it from that , that he isn't going out..

dd1 did say earlier when we were rowing to stop so feeling ever so guilty for doing it in front of her ..

horribly i did check his phone to see what he had said to his bro.. he bro sent him a message along the lines of why don't both of you come over.. you can still go to the hotel for sex.. wtf.. no idea where this has come from but reckon sil put two and two together and came out with 5.. since when does my sex life have to interest others???

not sure what the way forward is on this one.. i am so sick of being a door mat but never wanted my dds growing up without their daddy

ataraxis · 23/04/2010 20:00

Evening all

gg - good detective work skills.. I followed the breadcrumbs

oops I was relieved to see you went to JL - far, far, far better than Ikea (and also, imagine how lovely they would be if you did end up having a baby there)

loti - unacceptable behaviour from your h . He is behaving like a complete arse and has no right to speak to you like that

ts - floor scrubbing

ataraxis · 23/04/2010 20:03

oh loti, your il's are just plain rude. I'd be furious with the lot of them.

And how come he feels he has any right to be mad at you?

Please take some time to think about what you want from your life and your relationship. You deserve so much better than to be treated like this.
