Yay miamla for a healthy little girl. , Girls are just fab .

for you both dizzy and red. Arse and Arses. Sorry you can't drown your sorrows dizzy but hope you have red. .

Yes, can see that your friend probably doesn't need advice on toddler groups pert . Had a quick look for him today but guess staff lists are yet to be updated but will keep an eye out.

Sorry to hear of your childcare woes VG. Hope it's a relief though to have made a decision and taking control of things.

Nothing of any interest to report here except that DD2 is now officially a tantruming toddler and a little pickle

GladioliBuckets · 20/04/2010 22:40

Yay Miamla! I'm all for alliteration at the mo so my suggestion is Hebe. Like Phoebe but more interesting.

Feeling uptight and a bit PMSy tonight, due on Friday I think, that sounds about right? Waiting for the herbal sleeping pills to kick in (tries to unpurse lips but can't).

Ooh I saw the big new cruiseliner Eclipse today (Ikea cafe has great views), the one that left on its maiden voyage to Spain(?) to rescue travellers this avo.

Miamla · 20/04/2010 22:42

I can come clean now...obviously health of baby was number one priority etc but i was really worried if they said Pea was a he that i'd be disappointed. I just couldn't imagine having another boy after DS. And the other thing is that I've been utterly convinced since very early days that she was a girl and I wasn't sure how i'd react to being told i was wrong. Not sure that's come out quite right

Miamla · 20/04/2010 22:47

but anyhow, we saw girlie bits and a very smooth profile of that area so she's definitely a female Pea!

oh and if Pea was a boy, i couldn't imagine stopping at two but now, I really can...just feels right

sonographer was absolutely brilliant. i could see the screen the whole time (as opposed to the usual two seconds i've had in all other scans), she explained exactly what she was looking at, what she was measuring and why they needed to see that bit. Pea was a little madam and had her back to the 'camera' so she had to be 'convinced' to move round

poppysocks · 20/04/2010 22:48

So pleased she is what you thought. I was rubbish and was convinced both times I was having a boy. Also had no sympoms except sore boobs ( at all of those using that theory to predict a DixieDS1).

I have to disagree I'm afraid GB - Hebe = hebe jeebies and from there it's only a small hop, skip and jump to the Bee Gees

poppysocks · 20/04/2010 22:51

It's great the sonographer gave you plenty of time miamla. We had that with DD2 and it was so lovely to see her but also to have confidence in her pronouncements (of health and gender). Sounds lovely . Almost ...

Miamla · 20/04/2010 22:54

ooooh...is that a green face i can see poppy?

Miamla · 20/04/2010 22:57

sorry, i know some of you are having a bit of a shit time at the moment but i feel so lucky.... the pessimist in me is waiting for the bubble to burst

poppysocks · 20/04/2010 23:02

Almost a miamla . Still surprising myself with my okayness at stopping at two, but I think that's because I have what I've always hoped for. DH's total conviction that two is enough helps too . He is utterly at the moment too, but of the bleurgh variety so no actual chance of an uninvited one at the moment either.
