Good enough for ya dog .

And sorry I do realise some are only turning 14 mths and some are nearly 16mths etc,etc......apologies!

All officially toddlers now though i think (well 120's H and HKZ's J are pulling up/taking steps now I think, think mostly everyone walking of some sort!) Scary thought!

I've been reading all your posts but nothing interesting or wise to add. But following everything with interest.

Good luck tomorrow DOG

HKZ - The cake looked fab, couldn't tell the head had been propped up at all IMO.

Made a decision on job yet Miss J? No advice to offer myself. Far more wise people on this thread than me. I say go with your gut instinct.

Off to Urchfont, Devizes tomorrow to see my brother, his wife and my 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Apart from the drive, it should be nice and my DD loves her cousins. It's a scarecrow festival in their village this weekend which is always fun. People dress up scarecrows in various funny outfits. It's themed

treedelivery · 01/05/2010 10:39

Morning.

Feel like pants but have a nice day in York planned. I need a shower and to pack up the kids, and dh is knackered.

Do I
a) crack on
b) hide in bedroom with laptop

Working tomorrow, so should I
a) make most of day off
b) get rest and not feel crap at work.

Hmm. Also traffic will be a piggie pig pig. ANd dd will be travel sick

Good luck with the move DOG!

120 · 01/05/2010 15:01

hello tink, hope you are having a chilled arvo.

tree, I love york.. went to school there.

yoohoo HZ, text me! Methinks you must be sleeping!

treedelivery · 01/05/2010 21:00

Hello everyone.

Dragged myself to the big smoke and feel lots better for it

But blimey if online is dangerous for shoppng, then having real live shops is terrible! I have spent a bomb! Let me show you

scarf I mean who spends $35 on a scarf

cardi DD1 will love it

2 gap vests, really long and soft. A Gap denm jacket for dd1 [she tried it on before and looks like some little 60's gal, it is devine on her] and a lovely vest for dd2 with dandelion clocks on.

Oh and some embroidered little hangings from a craft shop, of their initials.

Resisted a box of macoroons from Betty's, but gave in to a pistachio one all the same. They are devine. I also made leary eyes at these but dh dragged me off.

Work in the morning, but it's one day and will pay for today so hey ho. AM tired though so must get early night.

Didn't know that 120!
Tink - good to see more goodies coming your way.
tea - will get the seat packaged up and posted on Tuesday. HKZ is happy for it to do a tour of the thread Thanks for offering £ towards postage etc, if you give a few quid to HKZ's run that would rock, but not to worry as funds are tight all round I'm sure. SO certainly don't worry about it.

One thing today though. God I have got big. Not even fat anymore, but big. Big legs and arms, wide and stout. I think might need to take more trips to nice cities and towns, and see nicely dressed people and get motvated. Around these parts people look pretty..er...well....anyway moving on. Lets just say that you could wander about in your decorating clothes and noone would notice. So today made me look at myself and think 'eek' as I really don't look like the people I feel I have something in common with. If that makes on iota of sense.

Now, what's for dinner I'm starving!

treedelivery · 01/05/2010 21:31

Lenni - some good prices here for a few out door bits.

Popping in. Just spent what feels like a lifetime looking at thousands of awnings - again!

Managed to talk dh out of the ugly one. Think we have settled on a modern sun canopy and windbreak for now. Who knows though, it could all change again tomorrow.

Glad you had a good holiday Books. I was thinking about you the other day and wondering where you were - then it dawned on me. Feels like you've been gone ages.

Tree, glad you had a good day. I always resist going to civilisation but feel much better for it afterwards. It reminds me that not everyone in the world lives as isolated a life as I do and there's more to life than being stuck in the house and going for the odd walk. Sounds like you did some sterling shopping. Also, you are very naughty for making me look at the Higgos site again as now I have a new list of wants. Anyhoo, off to bed now. Hope you have a quiet day at work tomorrow.

chefswife · 02/05/2010 05:48

hello books, hope you got a proper break?

worn out by late one with HZ last night. crappy weather here and H asleep so may well follow suit. Ought to be sorting out the marketing for my business but can't be bothered need a strategy first.

And want to do some painting as haven't done any since the double portrait for my bro, which wore me out. I think I'm going to join the super fly thread this week and get the house sorted too.

hackneyzoo · 02/05/2010 12:50

Morning everyone. I am worn out too this morning...don't have the stamina I used too.

How was your holiday Books? You must have had good weather for it, hope you had a good time.

Tree shopping sounds good....I had a small accident on the ASOS clearance site yesterday and got two tops and a pair of trousers for £21 which was quite a bargain. Love GAP denim jackets, got one for 99p for DD a few weeks ago on ebay and it looks very cute.

120 Are you going to brave the Spring Festival? This weather is miserable, think I migth take the DCs swimming at Clissold instead. Shall we book a night for big fat argentinian steaks....mmmmm...?[mouth watering emoticon] Ta for lovely evening out...as always!

Dog, happy new house! Hope you're having a lovely time settling in...get some pics up on FB!

Right, I must resume lying down on the sofa whilst waiting for Sainsbos to turn up with my lunch!

120 · 02/05/2010 14:19

it is very rainy. my two have had their swims (curtesy of DP). I don't want to go. DP wants to go because he feels sorry for them. He is currently sleeping so we shall see.

Definitely up for steaks!

missjackson · 02/05/2010 16:53

chefswife · 02/05/2010 19:38

chefswife trudges back to shop for potatoes.

Lenni · 02/05/2010 20:00

Went duck racing today, is there any activity more quintessentially English than duck racing on May Bank Holiday weekend? DS came second! Not a bad effort given the number of ducks. Think I might take ours swimming in the morning, thanks for idea 120. We haven't been since we got back from the holiday from hell. Only 2 weeks til we go to Cornwall now! Feels like we've hardly been back, probably because we have hardly been back.

Hope your duck racing was fun too Tea, and a bit warmer than ours!

teaandcakeplease · 02/05/2010 20:29

Thank you Tree, link to HKZ run, is it on thread somewhere

Spent a quiet day at home watching Disney's with DD and letting them both nap lots as they were very very tired after a long day yesterday.

of you lot and your shopping, pennies are tight here right now.

Tree, my friend's son always soaks through his nappy, sleep suit and bedding every night. Send me some links for stuff that may help. As I see you have some very funky things for yours.

120 · 02/05/2010 20:59

lol at chef

eveing lenni and tea. Lol, I keep mistyping lennin!

night all. am hoping the little blighter won't wake for 2 hours for the third night on the trot.

treedelivery · 02/05/2010 21:12

Evening all

Off for food and 24, dd1 still up so might be doing a night shift after the day shift ]grin]

Had a very quiet day at work which is exactly what I needed as was bushed, so really relieved.

Have read but failed to retain . Will ask HKZ to link you via fb tea

For leaky nappies I'd recommend a fleece garment, either pants for a warm house, or the trousers for a normal house/crap British summer! these are the business. A fleece top coat will allow the leak to wick to the surface and dry by condensation. Cotton takes ages to dry hence soggy babies. So ditch the vest and babygrow and stck these on instead.

Duck races sound lovely, guess we missed the Dalby duck dash today.

Wow at 2 weeks till Cornwall Lenni although it's all go for you!

By for now, off to forage and ignore practice detachment parenting watching 24. Usually iron infron of it but can't as she's up. Yay!

moosemama · 02/05/2010 22:17

Yay, Tree. I ordered you a quiet day at work direct from 'The Universe' - glad my little bit of cosmic ordering worked.

We used to go the Hebden Bridge duck race Lenni. Great place for veggie food too.

Been to visit the friends we are going to the festival with today to plan who's bringing what etc. Am a bit concerned about the downturn in the weather - maybe that's what I should be cosmic ordering.

Dcs had a fantastic time playing with their two dcs and are beyond exhausted. Am half hoping that will translate into a lie-in tomorrow, but know that I'm just wishful thinking really.

AM off to drink wine for the first time in ages whilst perusing ebay for a sturdy raincoat.

chefswife · 03/05/2010 02:14

Oh what a crummy day here. The weather has been wet and cold and Pumpkin Pie has been very stroppy most of the day. I'm stuffing her with her favorite right now; pasta with broccoli and tomato sauce. She slept well last night. I think its just the weather and not being able to get outside.

I am however enjoying a nice coffee stout. Mmm.

120 · 03/05/2010 07:00

chef, what is a coffee stout?

Moose, I love Hebden Bridge, we used to live in Brierly, just up the road!

Tree, glad you had a quiet day.

treedelivery · 03/05/2010 09:59

I used to lve in Bradford!

I love Hebden Bridge, we used to get the bus [about 5] of us and go up onto the surrounding moors and try to be alternative drinking a few beers and hanging out. Stll, at least we were in the fresh air

Thanks for that Moose I'll order you a 11am lie in in return. Hope the wine was lovely.
Coffee stout??

DD1 was mega distressed last night, brought back the bad okd days with knobs on. SHe did a massive poo this am, so it was tummy ache which we realised. At least! Thank God it's now and again, not every poo like it used to be....

Have lovely bank holiday everyone!
