Good enough for ya dog .

And sorry I do realise some are only turning 14 mths and some are nearly 16mths etc,etc......apologies!

All officially toddlers now though i think (well 120's H and HKZ's J are pulling up/taking steps now I think, think mostly everyone walking of some sort!) Scary thought!

Wrote nice post and H came along and turned puter off

Splitting headache. STudy day [in my annual leave week!] had to be called off at 2pm, so I have to go on another day in May. Argh! It will be extra too so another day out of the home. Think of the money. Think of the money. Think of the......

We had a black out for J, but we fit it so badly that we ended up sticking a towel over the lot with drawing pins!

moosemama · 23/04/2010 18:12

Evening Tree. E is just a little bit too interested in my laptop these days as well. She keeps pressing the return and delete buttons.

Have decided to indulge my consumerist side by buying either some silk thermals or a good quality base layer set for the festival. That way I should be kept either nicely toastie or lovely and cool depending on what the weather decides to do.

Am being really naughty, As I haven't cooked the tea and dh will be home in 20 minutes. I'd ask him to bring chips, but the queue will be out the door on a Friday and that'll make him really grumpy.

hackneyzoo · 23/04/2010 18:17

Thanks for the ideas moose, I like the spotty one too and the bamboo one. We had the ikea onein DD's room but it broke after about a week and they wouldn't give me a refund as we had altered the size The problem with DS's room is the window is a sort of alcove to a weird sort of glass sun room (don't ask...our house has some bizarre features), so although the space is 120cm accross the drop is 260 cm! I think a couple of towels sewn together might solve the problem though!

Tea I bought these ones off ebay, but they are about 5 cms too short for DD's window, you are welcome to them for a fiver...which is what I paid, shame I measured the window wrong!

Sorry about your headache Tree, hope it clears up for the weekend. J is attacking my computer, so think tHats my hint to pay him some attention..

hackneyzoo · 23/04/2010 18:18

Oh Moose...now I want chips...

moosemama · 23/04/2010 18:19

Oops! Sorry HKZ.

moosemama · 23/04/2010 18:21

So do I if its any consolation.

teaandcakeplease · 23/04/2010 18:46

Thank you HKZ but I do have some nice curtains in there, I just need a blind or similar closer to window IYSWIM? They are curtains aren't they in the link?

You guys are being so nice to me as a newbie to this thread

moosemama · 23/04/2010 18:56

We don't have oldies and newbies on this thread tea - just friends.

treedelivery · 23/04/2010 19:06

Ooooo tea - I need to sort this seat for you don't I? don't have CAT as 'm skint and it expired 2 weeks ago. Can you CAT me?

You don't mind me passing it on HKZ?

Must check the weight limit......

treedelivery · 23/04/2010 19:10

.....they seem to be up to about 15kgs. That should be ok I reckon. My dd1 is about 16 kgs and she is 5!!!!!

Haven't gone to dh's birthday mountain biking event. It's the opening nght. Head too sore He's taken dd1 though, so they will have nice time together which is probably nicer than all of us going, dd2 grumpng and me......er.....grumping too

H asleep on my chest. Nothing seems to have changed since this time last year! [hmmm]

teaandcakeplease · 23/04/2010 19:15

I haven't paid for CAT either. Are on the fb group? I can find you on there instead and send you message?

treedelivery · 23/04/2010 19:16

Cool. Initials TA and follow the red headed children

moosemama · 23/04/2010 19:17

Tree, have you tried a paracetamol/ibuprofen combo? Attack it from both sides, it seems to be the only thing that works for me these days.

I am hanging around waiting for a couple of ebay items to come up while dh feeds the children.

teaandcakeplease · 23/04/2010 19:20

Red is good, my DD has a mild reddish hair, hoping it'll brighten this Summer as it's faded in Winter . Love red hair.

treedelivery · 23/04/2010 19:25

Have messaged you tea

Had gram of paracetamol, 30mg of codeine and 400 of brufen. Hurray for drugs

Not really helped to be honest, although to be honest t only hurts if I move now, rather than all time. Do you think this is migraine? I feel sick but sort of bleurgh too.

Or am I just knackered!?

moosemama · 23/04/2010 19:29

Could well be exhaustion. Only a migraine if its all on one side rather that right across or your whole head.

The other possibility is hormones, I've been getting humdinging hormonal headaches 24/48 hours before my period and I think Books had a similar thing this week as well.

Problem with exhaustion and hormonal headaches is that painkillers never seem to touch them. Only solution is relaxation and sleep - lots of sleep.

120 · 23/04/2010 19:33

very knackered. long day. ikea blackout blinds cheap and good.

treedelivery · 23/04/2010 19:34

Had mirena coil fitted. Bet it's that. Blardy thing.

Hi 120. Have a nice cuppa and a sit down. T'is weekend .

OOOOO and I'm not working

moosemama · 23/04/2010 19:37

In that case, if its hormonal, you definitely need LOTS of chocolate and lots of lying on the sofa followed by lots of sleep. Its the law!

120 · 23/04/2010 19:44

holy moly have tea now and somehow missed half the day's thread. off to read!

teaandcakeplease · 23/04/2010 19:49

My good friend got head aches in early days from her Mirena

Hope things get better soon Tree x

chefswife · 24/04/2010 00:16

Hey Ladies... quick post

Headaches! I had one last night too that just came on very quick... not quite a migraine, but damn near close. Crashed at 9.30 and slept right through till 7.30 when I heard DH and DD up having breakfast. DH slept on the couch all night to be able to hear DD when she woke but she slept right through as well.

Talking of black out blinds... I would recommend photo darkroom curtain material... it is truly the only black out curtain. DD doesn't have a window in her room, (its just outside her door) and I have noticed that if we leave it close, she sleeps through till 7, otherwise she's up at 5.30... although it is easy to get her back down.

So I'm looking around and wondering where the heck DD went. The door was closed so she wasn't outside but it was quiet and the Backyardigans were on and she never misses that. I called out to her and she makes a noise and I find her under the couch... she wedged herself under the couch! Hilarious.

elkiedee · 24/04/2010 00:23
