no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/12/2009 21:06

evening ladies
happy birthday oops sorry it is late.
Hope you have had a wonderful day.

Sazzles I hope dd1 is now sound asleep.
dd is still awake
I took them to bed at 6.45.
I got a bit impatient waiting for her to fall asleep, so decided to have a shower and wax my legs, so it kept her awake.
Hoping she will drop off soon.

Thanks for the reminder of snowman, I was about to post earlier when I read your last post. DD loved it (had been watching the walking in the air snowman video on you tube for past few weeks, so was very excited to see it on the tv)

I was dreading what she would say/think at the end, but she just said 'ahhhh, oh no snowman gone home'
She has rattled on abouit it ever since.
I now wish I had bought it as saw it the other day for £3.

snot what a shame re the cancelled flight.
but great that you have been having fun while off work.

vg Hi.
dizzy lol at see you on other side.

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 24/12/2009 21:08

Just getting all the photos off the camera in anticipation of refilling it tomorrow then collapsing on the sofa with some home made Baileys while DH finishes wrapping the last few bits. Both DC nestled all snug in their beds with visions of sugarplums etc etc.

Love you all and hope you all have a fantabulous Christmas full of peace, love and chocolate

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/12/2009 21:08

DD has just come downstairs and said 'mummy I just sitting on the settee'

I am off to return her to bed or she will be fit for nothing tomorow after another late night.

steaky how are you today?

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 24/12/2009 21:16

Eh up No1

Eek you keep reminding me that DS has still not had his MMR I will put it at the top of my new year's resolutions.

Hope all the excited little ones conk out really soon, I must admit I am pretty excited myself although dreading the drive a little bit. I moved the car today, well I turned it round, and it was absolutely fine but I was really shaking when I got out [fwuss] but it has been so lovely to have a snowy Christmas eve

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/12/2009 21:23

Well she was clearly tired. 8 min and she is now fast asleep.

hotter Ds has not had his MMR yet either.

I am also very excited, but a little as dh not home from work till about 11.20pm.

Been a bit pants the run up to it this week, just on my own every evening.

Tried so hard to be awake and have a drink with him every night while he unwinds but gone to bed soon as he got home every night as shattered.

Bit more awake tonight, so once we gotpressies brought pressies in from gym and put them wherever will hopefullt have anightcap.

I also agree that the snow is very pretty outside here, and nice to have a white christmas.

I lost the back end a couple of times while driving to the farm again today, and it is scary hotter

SazzlesOnASled · 24/12/2009 21:31

Glad DD has finally caved No1

DH currently in construction mode in the kitchen. I am keeping well clear and haven;t passed on TS's comments about the kitchen being a nightmare to put together [wimp]

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 24/12/2009 21:42

Good night all and hopefully you will all get to sleep past 5am.

Have a fantastic Christmas all of you.

I will more than likely be on for a second or 2 when the ILs invade tomorrow afternoon.

cyteen · 24/12/2009 21:45

Rather lengthy bedtime here too, most odd, especially as DS had a mega nap at lunchtime. Still catching up from yesterday, maybe.

Hope you are all enjoying yourselves this Xmas Eve

pertelote · 24/12/2009 22:00

Hmmm, bedtime was ok but noises since sound like they might escalate into a wake-up or two... Temperature today after the other kind of flu jab yesterday. Wish the GP had got round to us earlier, but last week's was fine by the morning so hopefully she'll be ok tomorrow.

Hope you all have a fabulous day tomorrow, I am feeling slightly under-prepared (six for lunch) but I expect it'll be alright.

I have not been at either the champagne or the g&ts so will not be sentimental - but I do very sincerely wish you all the fabulous, happy christmas that you deserve. Have fun.

Sausageandmash · 24/12/2009 22:33

Evening All,

Haven't been on for ages - and haven't had a chance to read through to catch up with all your news - but wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Hope that all your little ones are doing well and that 2010 proves to be a fabulous and happy year for you all!

Hope you've all been good and that Father Christmas touches down soon ...... right, off to have a nibble on a carrot - my husband is doing his bit (it's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it) by finishing off the whisky.

Presents wrapped, cranberry sauce, stuffing and pavlova made.

My pfb's favourite bear has his annual jar of honey wrapped and his mates have cheese, toast and biscuits according to preference.

Time to spend a mo with dh.

Love to all here. You are a wonderful bunch of people and I'll raise a glass to your kindness, friendship and hysterical funniness.

TwilightSleighing · 24/12/2009 23:28

Haven't caught up here.

S&M very nice to see you.

DD1 threw up on my feet right before dinner. Not exactly the way I wanted to start the festivities off. She's been pitiful all afternoon so I'm wondering if it's food related. Sorta like last week.

Reese's MMR shot when better than expected. Her doc took time to chat about all my concerns. We've spaced out her other shots to be sure she's okay. At the moment she's wearing her santa hat, looking at her reflection in the glass, and saying "Hi!" to herself....all smiles. Her diapers are a different story. Another lovely thing to have to deal with at Christmas.

Clock is ticking and I fear Santa is near England now. We've got loads to do here. Fingers crossed at least the OLDEST goes to be in 30 minutes. I played mean mommy today, not letting her nap. Hopefully that plus the fact she still feels like crap means she'll snooze without fuss.

Merry Jingles to All!

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 25/12/2009 07:15

Morning all!

Pancakes, juice, tea, coffee and Aled Jones on the radio.

Merry Christmas

DD very happy with her little wooden kitchen. I ran out of paper so put her little wooden casserole with carrots and onions in the oven bit of it. She lovedy loves it. The wooden veg make a very pleasing noise in the metal sink.

She is not at all interested in the other prezzies, she probably thinks they are just for decoration as they've been there all week.

Thank you all so much for your kindness and support this year, it has meant so much to me.
For a load of imaginary old hairy truckers you aren't half bad.

Wishing all of you and yours a joyful day.

PoinsettiaBouquets · 25/12/2009 10:41

Morning Steaky and anyone else up. We're having a lovely time at my mum's doing a 500pc jigsaw of US states and working out the pros and cons of moving the kids around at home to put the boys in together and turn DD's big room into an upstairs playroom. V tempting but all advice/experience appreciated.
Still stuffed from mahoossive Chinese last night chez DSis, roast Turkey to gobble up at 1pm (meep).
Have only opened a couple of kids' pressies so far, waiting for them to kick off and demand the rest. Besides I'm having too much fun with my jigsaw.
