santa i pretended to cry. That would then start DS crying. After a few seconds we had a cuddle to make up and be friends again. It took a week or so but now he doesn't hit anyone.

vg your poor mum, wish there was something i could do. has she got a bed ok? really hope she's not back in a corridor again

sazz nope, we had opposite ie big mental growth spurt = a 3 nap a day boy for us I barely saw him awake yesterday!

Had a lovely tea this evening, roast chicken, roast potatoes and sprouts. Took a bit of a punt on the sprouts tbh as i thought i would see if the girls would be ok with them on Xmas day. Well, they wolfed them down, had seconds (and thirds ) of chicken and decreed it delicious . No doubt it will all go horribly wrong on Xmas day when sausages and a choice of veg are thrown into the equation

Sambo - i would say to remove him from the situation, say no firmly and then disengage in any 'play' and eye contact for a minute or so. They are too little to understand a naughty step IMO (and it becomes a game in itself)

Buckets - we have had 'tuew' a few times today when we have given her things, and this is exactly the way DD1 pronounces it so i don't think i am just hearing things. DH said he heard it too, but then i guess he is not a reliable independent witness

Just wrapped DD's pressies from Santa to take to playgroup tomorrow. SO pleased i have remembered as i seem to have become a bit crap at all this 'organised' stuff

actually dizz, it was going to be a surprise but it might cheer you up to know that there's going to be something in the post for you soon. i'm going to try and pop to the post office tomorrow. don't get too excited though, its nothing special, just a little something that i think/hope you'll like

The ILs have started with their crap again in the last 20mins and ruined a good weekend.

Sazz - Sound pretty much like our lunch except we had friends over so there was a VERY large homemade syrup sponge and custard to follow and then they taste tested the tiffin I made for pressies, now I need to make a new batch. Great talking E and tower building too, DD has mastered squeling at the top of her lungs to hear herself.

oops no, no need for me to nap as well because he's been sleeping through the night too!!!! from 6.30pm to 6.40am the last few nights!!! its great because it means i can use his naps to get christmas things done!

sorry to those with non-sleeping babies...honestly not bragging and fully expect him to go back to his usual non-sleeping ways soon!

really am off to raid fridge now!
