Thank you very much oops

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2009 11:21

Oh oops why didn't I think of that one - Hotter...open fire...doh!

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2009 12:16

Should really be hotter the blue nosed reindeer, feeling a bit glum because my poxy team have cancelled our poxy Christmas lunch on Friday so there are no proper Christmas work celebrations for me

Oh well, at least the HotMamas will be pleased at the calorie-saving

oh oh oh I forgot to say, the new laptop has a webcam although it is very very unflattering, so I will be joining you on skype/googlewave once I have bought some new makeup

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 16/12/2009 14:44

Where is everyone today???

I hope you are all having fun drinking egg nog and eating chocolate log

cyteen · 16/12/2009 15:27

Sorry hots I've been lounging in a nice deep bubble bath after the morning's vacuum and mop workout. Debating whether to write my Christmas cards or watch a film now...decisions, decisions.

Anyway, aren't you supposed to be at work?

dizzycringles · 16/12/2009 15:28

not bloody likely, just nipped to the bike shop to pay remainder on DD1's bike and they haven't got it - I ordered it in Oct its all ok though as its coming on Fri and he's bringing it to the house one day next week at a time that suits me i.e. when the kids can't see it

absolutely freezing here so am off to make some buns, I've an order for 30 for tomorrow [meep]

QueenofDreams · 16/12/2009 15:33

Hi ladies.
Wow it's cold today.

Congratulations to LWFH. Great news to hear your little lady has arrived safe and well

I too had a good laugh at Poppy's car full of nuns
VG lovely to see you so happy too, and very glad your mum is on the mend.

Not a great deal of news here really. We've decided which house we are taking, but now have to argue with the agents over moving dates. We can't afford to move in the middle of the month, as that would mean paying rent for the time we stay here plus a full month's rent for the new place. I'm hoping the agent agree to us moving end of next month and don't give the place to someone else in the meantime. I'm waiting for someone to come fix the boiler, as it has broken down AGAIN. It is freezing in here. I'm wearing 3 jumpers and my coat. At least the new house has double glazing YAAAAAAY!! it was so toasty in there when we looked round, we didn't want to come back to our fridge house.
Hope everyone's ok

Quick Xmas gift reminder, if you want a signed copy of my mum's book Scuba Dancing (ideal for MILs and mums, veen joyless ones), I can get one in the post on Friday to any UK address for £5 inc p&p. Will even giftwrap it and write a message from you if you're desperate. FB pm me asap.

Saw DS1's school play today, he was not amused. I heard him say 'I'm going because I hate stupid concerts' at one point but he sat through it with an LSA feeding him satsumas the whole time. Even got on the stage at the end and grudgingly waved his maracca about like a sulky teenager. Was all v funny.

Heheh QoD I spy you grinning at thought of landlady moving back in and having to fork out for a new boiler.

SazzlesOnASled · 16/12/2009 18:38

Evening . DH on way home and should be here for bedtime and apparently has some good news from work [intrigued]

miamla how can you wrap Xmas eve when many presents need to be despatched before (either by post or by hand?)[even more intrigued]

QoD great news on the house . In this market i am sure the landlord will wait

PB you are better than me feeding DS1 with satsuma. DD2 devoured a whole packet of skips whilst watching DD1's (10 min) nativity

Dizz how are your buns?

LOL at Steaky's fumble with MIL's rabbit

Sounds like a great start to your hols cyteen oops the 8th of Jan is a very very good day

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 16/12/2009 18:47

Sazz - would that be your 21st Birthday? teeheehee.

very envious of all these nativities am not to have one to go to this year.

Miamla - I wrap on Christmas eve too - it's my birthday present to me anything that needs wrapping and dispatching beforehand gets done on the spur of the moment.

QOD - House hunting sounds like it's going well. Soon you won't know yourself with the warmth of double glazing.

steakyroastingonanopenfire · 16/12/2009 19:04

We have a tree - woohoo!

I met a friend for lunch and was having a winge about not being able to get a tree without having a car so she whisked me up to the garden centre to get a tree. Sorted.

I got the tree some lovely sparkly bits but how do you make tinsel look good?

DD keeps trying to eat the salt dough decorations I made years ago - fortunately there are lots of them so they should last at least till boxing day.

Virtually all wrapping done. As I was seeing family last weekend I split it into those for DBs and their families and then everyone else's this week.

miamla · 16/12/2009 19:40

sazz because most presents are for family that i'm seeing on Christmas day. Friends who get pressies get seen after Christmas. Not sure why, but we've always done it like this. And as for people who are a post journey away, they're already done and dusted, thus my present wrapping session last weekend. you see, simples

oh my, I really want a glass of wine!

miamla · 16/12/2009 19:43

oops is it your birthday on the 24th? well done to your mum for pushing you out before the 25th. My brother wasn't so lucky!

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 16/12/2009 19:44

miamla · 16/12/2009 21:12

i know its really stupid to worry/get scared about it but a few nights this week, someone has thrown something heavy at the front window

i've just told dp (he's home tomorrow) so he's going to lie in wait for them tomorrow night!

blimey, its taken me an hour to type this so hello to everyone i'm crossing with!

miamla · 16/12/2009 21:14

oopsandbabyJesusinacoconut · 16/12/2009 21:20

Keep with the broody ladies I have just realised that I have to give birth again and LWFH's 9lber made me cross my legs and think bloody hell it's me next!!!

I am off to bed - have been trying to plan holiday, book accomodation and finish an assignment. Assignment is not happening.
