dizzydixies · 01/10/2009 19:42

StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 19:43

Or even what nots

DH was working on his Landrover whilst i was netballing last night

StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 19:45

I was actually pondering today on when to send him to the barbers before our visit LOL

dizzydixies · 01/10/2009 19:47

ah don't bother - there is one at the end of my street, right opposite the dog grooming place so even if he gets lost he'll get trimmed

back after, off to stopignoringthekids do bedtime but DH not here so I'm having a night online - be warned ladies, I may even manage to catch up

Hi Steaky, Albs

alittlebitshy · 01/10/2009 19:58

steaky hi.I am ok. TIRED. SO once dd is asleep (ooh need to go up and turn her light off in a mo) I will be off to bed with my book.

sequinedsteaknife · 01/10/2009 20:07

sounds wise.

LoveBuckets · 01/10/2009 20:08

Have chased mortgage company, they reckon we should get some news tomorrow or Monday. Meanwhile plumber came to quote for moving pipes about...

Sazzles Try Ebay for disco odds and ends. Just been looking at your tent, mmmmmmmmmmmm....

Ann Have you tried 'strapping him in' with a very tight blanket?

Good luck tonight with P Oops

BTW I have a beautiful dark grey and purple Chinese print Babyhawk sling anyone can have for bargain price of £10+p&p. Has lilac velvet inside and looks nearly new (didn't get on with mei tais, neither did prev owner I'm guessing.) Will take some pics if anyone's interested.

Met v pretty new niece today! Poor SIL quite shellshocked, baby got stuck and she had to have episiotomy with no pain relief, now struggling with BF and quite scared at being on her own with the baby (BIL was at shops). Didn't stay long as Kurt was wiping chocolate on her cream rug but offered hopefully helpful advice esp about saying no to people, setting visiting hours and not answering the phone. BIL goes back to work Monday so I will probably pop round then if I can get Kurt to sleep in the car. Strapped my Maya ringsling on her before I left, might have to buy myself a new one.

sequinedsteaknife · 01/10/2009 20:16

ooh no missed the first bit of pmc cos I thought it was on a bit later as yesterday. Skills test is where the fook up the best.

WTF with not being able to make pancakes?

oopsacoconut · 01/10/2009 20:18

Well DD is in bed, again, she has been up in tears twice already and she's olnly been in bed an hour.

Buckets - Can you put up some piccies? I have been looking at one recently.

am off to get some sleep before DD wakes again.

Sorry if I have ignored you all I am broken with lack of sleep!

sequinedsteaknife · 01/10/2009 20:21

Raise your game
Step it up

Who is for PMC bingo?

sorry should probably go and find a thread just for this.

Gah just realised the rest of you are Sky+ing it so I won't spoil the ending for you.

Buckets hope it will be good news from the mortgage folk. Brand new baby neice - awww. I remember that shellshocked feeling. Pregnancy and birth - however it comes - is pretty extreme isn't it?

sequinedsteaknife · 01/10/2009 20:23

oops poor little P. Hope you both get some sleep.

alittlebitshy · 01/10/2009 20:32

buckets i was v like your sil when i had dd. i hated ebing on my own with her - it terrified me for a good few weeks.,i got over it (obviously) and am pleased that things seemed so much betetr with ds

right - bed now. honest!

dizzydixies · 01/10/2009 20:43

steaky we should turn it into a drinking game and everytime one of them says fine dining or raise your game you have to drink

oops poor P, both P and miniestpoppette are having such a horrid time - tis heartbreaking - am sending healing thoughts where I can

ALSB I'm for early bed tonight too seeing as DD2 was up at 5am this morning if there is a repeat performance I'm done for - esp as she has a hosp appt first thing

buckets am sure she'll be very grateful for all your help and advice, I would have been lost without my friend who had her 2nd 3wks before I had DD1

StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 20:47

and again

and again

and again

dizz you are needed over on Hotmama's please

buckets i usually make a lasagne or fish pie to take round to new mums and maybe a fresh loaf/pate/cheese/hoummus etc for a scrummy picky lunch. I'm sure you will be fab with BF and sling advice too

poppysocks · 01/10/2009 20:47

Poor, poor P, oops. Sounds as though she's on the right meds though. Really hoping she AND you get some good rest tonight. Having had a horrific week on that front I'm feeling only half alive and I'm not pg. Poor you. Any chance that DH could step up tonight??

Sounds like you're being a fab SIL buckets. I'm sure having you wafting in, making three look like a breeze will show your SiL that it's fine. She can do it. Remember that fear and would have loved a visit from you then.

For the first time feeling vaguely at all your creativeness (haven't had before because it is SO far from being a reality from me ). Love, love, loving the curtains and all the pear patterns though.

Also watching the shouty cooking (in realtime too steaky - shall we have a code to prevent spoilers for our delayed chums?). Always slightly mesmerised by MRjr's eyes. Intriging, vulnerable, intense... Suspect a drinking game of bingo could get us very, very drunk very, very quickly. Up for it. Bags I 'there's just not quite enough seasoning' and 'this means soooo much to me'....

poppysocks · 01/10/2009 20:51

Right. Glass of wine replenished. Ready for the off....

StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 20:51

I bags 'let the food speak for itself'. WTF? When did some venison last come and talk to you? I would be very worried if it did . Poor Bambi

sequinedsteaknife · 01/10/2009 20:52

Dizzy have you noticed the Welsh twang in Frency Ludovic's accent? And isn't Ludovic a fantastic name?

sequinedsteaknife · 01/10/2009 20:55

Oops x-posts cos I was to busy drinking -

just heard a new one

"push her to the summit of her cooking"

StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 20:58

I think you need a toblerone for that recipe steaky
