Oh, oops, I'm so sorry to hear about the bleeding . I can add to the list of positive outcomes to early bleeds. With DD1 I found I was pg at lunchtime on Thursday and was reckoned to be 6+6. Started bleeding at tea-time. The EPU were fab and we did see a heartbeat the next day. I was reckoned to be 7 weeks, but in retrospect probably wasn't quite as far on as that. I continued to bleed, albeit brown and light, for another 10 days. The midwife said that it's at about this time that the placenta takes over so it's not uncommon. Hoping that that's all it is for you.

Incidentally, my dear friend who has what sounds like the same thyroid issue as you, gave birth to a healthy little girl last night.

albs - DH's niece also became the ultimate Houdini when it came to her grobag. Her mother's solution to use an old nappy pin (one of the ones with a clasp that comes down over the clasp iyswim) below the zip. The ones we have have an extra popper/clip thing in the same place. Is it worth looking for ones with the same?

Sorry the sleeping's still crap ann. No words of wisdom but I do think that your ongoing survival is quite incredible!

You're life makes me tired just from hearing about it too dizzy. Really don't know you manage. Sorry it's hard at the moment. Must get together and allow me to look after you a little when we get back.

Off to centerparcs tomorrow so may not be around for a few days. If I don't get on though, best of luck with the interview steaky!

CaptainCaveman · 04/10/2009 18:24

hey gang

oops positive vibes and plenty of prayer for you {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{oops}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

for some treason i have not bothered with grobags for ds2. Odd reall6y as i used them with ds1

anyone else feeling a bit miserable, or is it just me?

scuse the one handed typing, I'm eating a ffab lolly

dizzydixies · 04/10/2009 18:33

ALBS - D can get out of her grobag, granted tis cheapy NEXT version with poppers however she is confused by the zip up fleece suit worn over the all in one sleepsuit so thats the route we're going here!!

dizzydixies · 04/10/2009 18:37

CC I'll join you on the miserable couch DH and I took the girls out for lovely walk/on the bikes today and within 10 minutes of returning home he turned to me and said 'what on earth happened when you walked in the door' as I had gone all barky again

had a lovely walk, beautiful clear day, girls were great on their bikes, got some nice photos, dog behaved, DH behaved and it only started to rain as we got in the car so what the hell is up with my sodding mood swings?!?!?

DH is bathing D, DD1 and DD2 are jumping round the living room dancing to MTV 90s dance tracks - reminds me of being at Uni and going Sunday Clubbing in ridiclious heels, very little clothing, no money but a cleavage that got me free drinks [sadly no more emoticon][sod that too old emoticon]

Dizz Sweetie Hunnypie, you okay?

The hunnypie reference comes from some wierdie scottish programme on cbeebies at 6am, which I am sure Dizzy has seen.

StrictlySazz · 04/10/2009 19:30

ignore me, am just being a whingey mare have uploaded new photos of the girls on FB so someone just tell me how lovely they are and that will cheer me up [blatant shameful fishing]

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 04/10/2009 19:54

dizzy from your reminiscing about the good old carefree days, it does sound like you're in dire need of some you-time. DP and I were both miserable yesterday, both randomly afflicted at once with responsibility-itis.

Had a lovely afternoon out at Foxton Locks, it's gorgeous there, so pretty. DS did his best 'bothered' face until we gave him some ice cream, then he cheered up

StrictlySazz · 04/10/2009 19:56

be here for 8.15

your dd's are gorgeous dizz. i don't need to check fb

TwilightSurfer · 04/10/2009 20:01

Captain I'm a bit down in the mouth at the moment too. Pre-AF's to blame I'm certain.

Oops

Dizzy you are an amazing woman.

Mexican Chicken Soup & Chicken Tacos are in process in the kitchen. I am STARVING!!!

cyteen, absolutely unfortunately at the moment its not happening DH finishes his shift at 7am tomorrow morning, I start at 7am on Tues morning and finish on Thurs and he starts on Fri morning etc etc I am however off to Dublin next weekend so hopefully a change is as good as a rest

VG we've got child free NY coming up in Nov and am just holding out for that have already dropped a commitment that I had on Wed night and am heading down to my aunts on Sat rather than Sunday before the flight so I can have a day of rest so to speak!! Oct is looking good as I have Dublin and Sazz coming up and Fleetwood Mac and DH has agreed to take some time off at the tail end of the school hols so we can actually spend some time together

many happy returns to Mammy Gardenia - how lovely for her to be surrounded by all her family twas MIL's birthday yesterday so I sent over some pencil portraits I'd had done of the girls, brownie points all round

Sazz dinner sounds lovely, we had a variety of mince dishes here!!

oh no, poor Em, Dylan was fine but she had some snotty/coughy thing going on anyway and spent most of the week on neurofen anyway

had a bit of a meltdown over reheating cooking dinner tonight when poor DH tried some humour - I think my point has been made that I'm no longer amused doing ALL the organising which isn't really fair as he copes admirably when I'm at work

DD2 starts 4 days at playgroup from tomorrow which may help, although they stop for the school holidays for 2 weeks on Fri !!!

StrictlySazz · 04/10/2009 20:27

Thanks guys - DD2 has been very clingy too, no appetite and VERY whingey. Totally not her . BUT on the other hand DD1 has been out of sorts too so she may have just picked up her bug. Lets hope our happy go lucky DC's return soon

dizz i know what you mean about all the organising. It is a total headache and i don;t have 3 or shift work to factor in. Life is just so hectic these days. However holidays to look forward to which is lovely

StrictlySazz · 04/10/2009 20:29

Oh, and i'm hoping it may be teeth

StrictlySazz · 04/10/2009 20:32

Ah, VG just arrived so must be dinner time

dizzydixies · 04/10/2009 20:46

Sazz, Dylan is getting her eye teeth (sp?) and they're really sore, won't let me anywhere near to see whats going on - tis heartbreaking when everything happens at once isn't it

dizzydixies · 04/10/2009 20:55

there you go, for a limited time only, a current, recent photo of me, on FB on my profile as me [meep]

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 04/10/2009 20:56

Just trying out my new name.

Just made a yummy chorizo and bacon pasta for DH which he has followed by a marsbar duo - so much for the diet!
