Ironing done. sazzles I agree, but the clothes are very badly creased so I have to.

I am very lazy, and wouldn't do it if I didnt have to. I do go through the pile sorting out what I can leave.

All crossed for tomorow for you.

Ds does a kind of walk fast nearly run thing atm. Very funny and has a bit of a cowboy swagger.

Think I could be in for a long night as ds keeps whimpering, still the same 4 teeth bothering him. Also a bit snotty too.
sazzles is dd ok?

I have been lurking over at Hotmamas btw. Have caught up and read all the posts since I was last on.

There is whimpering here too no1. It must be such a weird sensation having teeth coming through.

Sazz it's just for the ceremony and an hour's drinks reception/photo session immediately afterwards. We've still got to sort out what we're doing afterwards, but have various promising ideas to follow up

No walking here, DS is working hard on standing unassisted though. He is so lovely and very keen to get up on his feet.

Night Sazzles - will be holding thumbs and crossing all crossable things for you tomorrow.

Bed for me too, I have a new book to read before DH comes up.

Buckets - you have much to answer for - DH read about your challenge and your friend doing 28 days - My life will never again be free of nagging for a challenge!

NezLiquide · 09/09/2009 03:17

Sazzles good luck for today.

No1 I too can't believe the self restraint on not testing. I'd probably have done 2 by now!

For some reason I was in so much haste to get away from work yesterday that my post didn't post IYSWIM. TS I was up and around when you posted about skyping at what would have been 5.30am here courtesy of DS but I don't think you'd have wanted to see me in my pj's - not a lovely sight plus I always end up having to call my parents after we've skyped as they end up just watching DS wander around so I never find out how they are or what they've been up to!

Dizzy congrats on dneice. I can't wait for DS to have more cousins - I don't have any and always felt like I was missing something. SIL- to-be is keen to start following the wedding next year so would be lovely if we manage to get pg at around the same time.

Cyteen the hall looks lovely DB did his Masters in Leicester and went to a friends wedding there recently - will have to ask him where the reception was for any hints. On the subject of weddings sil-to-be has now decided on this for the bridesmaids to wear. I think it looks lovely but a bit worried about not getting

DS and I went to our first Mandarin Tots session yesterday afternoon. This is kind of normal playgroup in English with 15 minutes of Mandarin as well. He can probably say more than me now

NezLiquide · 09/09/2009 03:27

I meant not getting to try it on - not sure what happened there!

luckoftheirish · 09/09/2009 06:51

just running in to send good luck vibes to Sazz and NO1 if she tests today [hugs]

nightmare night .. dd2 slept really well.. dd1 ended up in out bed again sigh and tossed and turned all night.. still having to put her to sleep at night too.. dh promised her a big present if she went to sleep by herself and slept in her own bed all night... she said NO i need mummy ...

Any advice from super mummies would be greatly appreciated... she says there are giants in her room and a bear hiding behind a tree help!!!!

hotterpotter · 09/09/2009 08:25

Loti we had something similar with DD, which we solved with a nightlight and sticker chart, so she got stickers for going to bed like a good girl and more stickers for staying in bed, then when the card was full of stickers she got to choose a new toy. We never managed to cure the early mornings (6am usually instead of 8am ) but she is pretty good at the rest now.

Sazz good luck

Everyone else hi better go or I'll get sacked... ooh but just wanted to say Cyteen that Guildhall looks amazing

luckoftheirish · 09/09/2009 09:13

thanks hotter, will give it a try!! don't get sacked now!

Morning all. Still no af
I might test today.

Dh made it clear this am that he did not want 3 children. He said we didn't have the room, I said bollox is it financial reasons. He said not at all if we had the room of course we could afford another. WTF!

How could I end a pregnancy that was our own fault, just beacause there is not enough bedrooms. Ridiculous. Very at such a thoughtless stupid comment. Am I overreacting at this. Hopefuly it is because AF is on its way.
(I shared as a child and it never did me any harm.)

nezliquide The dress is gorgeous.

Hi to everyone all you all have lovely day and that sazz gets what she was hoping for at work today.

luckoftheirish · 09/09/2009 09:37

No1... not overreacting at all imo... had a similar discussion with dh earlier this month.. ours wasn't a financial issue.. he said he was too old (he's 43)and i'm 34... he said that he just couldn't go through it all again it is too hard...

thing is i found that what will be will be and at the end of the day any issue can be overcome....

Not very helpful but reckon you should test today and see if you have something to worry over or not.. hopefully not xxx

hope i made sense.. don't feel like i did

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 09/09/2009 09:42

lucky I know where you are coming from. Dh also said his age was an issue. He is 40 next year I am 31. He said he wants to retire, not work till he is 60.

I will test today and see.[smiel]

poppysocks · 09/09/2009 09:54

and to hear your DH's reactions no1. He's probably getting his final two-penneth in knowing that if you are pg, then he'll have to put up and shut up. You're right though, space is not a reason but an excuse. And for the record, we have four bedrooms, but choose to have the girls sharing for lots of reasons but the main one is that we think it's really nice for them. We didn't get it to work successfully until the last few months but if you've got space in your own room for the first few months , DH just needs to understand that in the course of his life a few months isn't really that long. Not sure what that ramble was about but good luck.

Love that dress nez!

Sazzles, lots of luck from here too. I hope things go well.

No1 - that there is all this turmoil. Poppy is on to something about the pre-reality grumble I think.

I shared a room until I went to university and felt bereft without my sisters. Our DD's will share when I finally boot DD2 out of my bed.

Some of my happiest memories of being a child are from those pre-sleep chats. DD1 is deliriously happy about her lovely bunkbed too.

Cyteen, the hall is beautiful and reminded me of the very lovely St. Mary's Guildhall in Coventry. Producing positive memories of Coventry, where I grew up, is a feat in itself so thanks for that.

VG, your heartfelt yearning for historic buildings made me imagine Irish people waiting hopefully on the coastline for the arrival of the Georgians and their first consignment of nice doors.

I am turning into my dad who spends an indecent amount of time laughing at funny pictures in his head.

Oh and I have to share this gem from a letter one of DH's students wrote to his imaginary great-great-grandchild in class yesterday. 'There is a recession on here, and while the wheel of government is still spinning, the hamster is dead.'

no1 good luck. sorry dh being an idion.

We have space for all to have their own room but the girls will be sharing. Only seems best, really.

Nez lol I've not had time since I loaded Skype to sit down and chat on it. We'll find time soon.

Having a bit of a preAF moment here. I'm feeling a bit down because of choices I've made....but the choices are good choices...practical and smart...none where without much thought....all were decided upon with love. I'm just not liking that I don't have a career, that I don't live in a home that ISN'T a fixer-upper, that I didn't have the courage to have another child, blah blah blah blah. Some days it's just very hard being a PIECES (the horoscope sign).

Now SAZZLES I need some good news SO LET'S HERE IT!! Whatcha got!!
