oh no Sazz, is that going to be a regular thing? how does it feel to be back in the world of the grown ups?!

oops have you explained that if you wanted DD to sit in the office you could send her in with DH? its a hard one as she's not technically obliged to do it but she shouldn't have offered to spend a day with her if she wasn't going to follow through - how frustrating for you

morning all, made jaffa drizzle cake this morning and its gone horribly wrong DH sleeping before nightshift, DD1 at school, DD2 at playgroup and DD3 sleeping so I'm onhere doing parent council & playgroup committee stuff before the AGM tonight

Sazzles take me with you.

Oops that's not nice of MIL. Shall I come straighten her out.

Ann I am very excited to find out in 4 weeks that you are pregnant!!!!

NEZ both ours having similar symptoms following similar jabs...

Reese is still pooing for all of the Country. I am so sick of dirty diapers. Now I think I might be coming down with it. No fever but out of nowhere in the middle of the night I had to rush to the loo. Tummy was making a horrible noise as well. Sounded like two pigs fighting and rolling around in my belly. (disclaimer: i did not have pork for dinner.)

CRAP! 7:10am and no one is dressed. BBL

Ah, feck.
I have this job business totally wrong then.

I mind the girls all day. When they are in bed I tidy, make sandwiches etc. till 9, sit in front of the computer and do book design type stuff on there until midnight most weekday nights (and every weekend too at the moment).

Then the money for that work is paid to DH because he is officially doing it as part of one of his jobs. (Hurrah for only having joint accounts)

Then I'm up twice a night and back on duty tracking down DS's homework at 7:00.

And DH is in England until tomorrow night.

Thanks so much for that recipe Oops.
My mum took the same approach when she minded DS for a while and couldn't figure out why I was . It is not nice of her at all, but there is a generational element in there somewhere too.

And Ann, that is so exciting.

Poppy-that is just heartbreaking about your dad. I hope recognising it helps with moving on from it. How can he feel like that? It just isn't right. I hope things ease for your BIl soon too. It must be such a strain for all of you.

Glad to hear that tantrums are easing there. DD1 has reverted to gorgeously lovely in the last few weeks too.

Nez- your monkey impression story was so sweet, it prompted me to try it on DD2. DD1 said she would do it too, threw herself over the back of a children's chair and bared her bum.

She was distraught when I burst out laughing because 'that is what monkeys do on the telly, mom, I've seen them.'

Shall I go to hotmamas to find out what Sazzles has had for lunch?

RedLentil · 03/09/2009 12:30

I hope you are feeling better now TS.

oopsacoconut · 03/09/2009 12:39

We are back from looking at the gym creche and it is still the same lovely staff from when I helped out in there from ages ago. She is booked in for 9.30 tomorrow and I have a gym session for then too. Haven't spoken to DH about it but She loved it and was morethan happy for me to go and have a cuppa whilst she played. They will come and get me if she is too upset. So out of MIL issues comes something good. She is booked in for twice a week fo the moment but will be in 3 times when I am back upto strength.

Cyteen - I have a no1 mummies boy on my hands! She speaks and he still jumps but not as hgh or as often as previously, so I am making progress.

Sazzles - you sound like you are enjoying being back, apart from the journey

oopsacoconut · 03/09/2009 12:40

TS - hope you are okay. Can you and Reese head back to bed once you are back from the school run?

Hi Red

TwilightSurfer · 03/09/2009 14:27

Oops that's excellent!

Red

I do feel better. Might have just been the leftovers I ate catching up with me. Reese has had fair diapers this morning. So fingers x'd. Did some reading and found out that following a viral tummy bug little ones can have temporary milk allergies. Thus explaining why things looked great for Reese until I gave her milk yesterday. EEUUWWW so back to the soy for a few more days. Called off Mom's Day Out again just in case. I am thankful things in my life are slow enough right now that I don't need to have Reese in nursery.

Poppy I've been pondering words of wisdom for you but can't find a one. Why is it blood relatives can be so crap!!?!!

Waiting for new washing machine to be delivered. It's a 4.4cubic feet front loader with jacked up spin cycle that almost entirely dries clothes before it stops...got it in RED too. Call it my mid-mommy-life crisis. LOL!!

sazzles wow such dedication to do that journey, I assume train? Have you got a good book? Hope you have a good day it must be nice to get going on stuff and not get interrupted

ann fabbo news, I am very excited and now ds is almost walking etc i feel more than ever I would like another LO but with no job on the horizon for dp it's not looking likely

oops well done you, mummies need me time.

another terrible night with ds. went to doc again today as his face was puffy and red - deffo eczema but she says it may clear up once the virus goes. mahoosive argument with dp re my apparent neglect - ds does not eat enough (my fault for giving him the wrong food and blw not working) so he wakes all night and we should give him formula as it's better than breastmilk for making babies sleep dizzy pass the cake, I'm sure it tastes nice!!

sambo303 · 03/09/2009 14:44

at least with this illness I have learned to spell eczema!

DD not impressed with her first day in new class with new teacher, cried most of the way there, still doing grumpy act now. Did admit to having some fun with her best friend and gettingto do some drawing though so I think tomorrow might be slightly less tearful. Kurt must have really missed her today as he was flapping and squealing with delight when we picked her up.

Just got £20 Prezzo vouchers from Tesco clubcard woohoo. Hope they're as child-friendly as Bella Italia, who in the past have amazingly tolerated my DS1 when much younger and more annoying. Thoroughly recommend them (esp with Clubcard vouchers) but fancied a change.

TwilightSurfer · 03/09/2009 16:39

VG I am most happy to share a photo....see profile pics. You and I sound a lot a like today. I need a break so bad I can't stand it. Doesn't help that I've been up to my eyeballs in poo diapers for seven days!!!!!

Buckets she'll be loving it by next week and the fuss will be forgotten.

On the topic of vouchers. I got one today because the washing machine arrived with a tiny scratch on the top. Mind you in a few months it will have a dryer parked on the top of it so you won't see it anyway. Oh well that's $75US towards my new dryer.

AAaaaaaargh! Seb is such a grump. He refused to have his afternoon nap, and I have been dealing with grumping and stropping since 5 pm. DP of course says it's my fault. He wouldn't be grumpy now if I'd taken him to bounce n rhyme this morning apparently

LoveBuckets · 03/09/2009 20:47

Bet she comes back with 2 new folders
