Those skinnies just make me think of Ab Fab and Jennifer Saunders saying about Bubble 'she's emaciated, like her brain'

Guess I am lucky that DH likes a fat lass curvy girl

dizzydixies · 28/08/2009 22:02

aye, she's maybe about the size of my wrist

hotterpotter · 28/08/2009 22:03

OMFG it's cold out there last time I looked it was still August

Go on then lovely girls bugger off to bed

Oh, oh, oh, before you go though, let me tell you I was just badgering talking to DH about more babies because I reeeeaaaalllly still want 12 months matty leave another one and he didn't tell me to fuck off there might be a lot of persuading to do but it's not utterly out of the question

cyteen · 29/08/2009 07:20

Eek hotter! I am keeping everything crossed for you, er, not having to keep everything crossed That would be fabulous.

DP announced the other day that he likes Sarah-Jane off Cbeebies although actually since having seen that clip of her getting a tattoo, I can see that she's a lot more attractive when she's off duty.

Well, last night was great until DS gave us an hour plus of screaming, shouting mardiness at 2am Soothing, singing, cuddling, not cuddling, laying him back down in his cot, drinks - all were met with disdain (even though he guzzled an entire carton of formula before starting up again). Eventually I brought him into our bed, which he almost never wants, and he nursed back to sound slumber in about 30 seconds Strange creatures they are. Usually he loves being in his own bed but last night he just wanted to be with us.

Or perhaps he could smell the wine in my milk and wanted to party

Anyway, he was up at 6am after stealing all DP's covers, so I did the decent thing and plonked him in front of the telly brought him downstairs for wholesome play while DP warmed up. Twas freezing last night!

oopsacoconut · 29/08/2009 07:37

Morning Cyteen

DD was in bed late because of the sleep on the drive home so I stupidly thought she might sleep a bit later - no chance she was up bright and chirpy at 6am. So she was brough down along with the spare duvet to watch baby tv do wholesome play too.

DH I am afraind to say fancies Kylie - now further from me you couldn't get! She is 5ft nothing and I am 5ft8 she weighs nothing I weigh lots, she is petite I am far from petite. I said if he can catch her she is welcome to him.

off to deal with the poo monster back later.

hotterpotter · 29/08/2009 08:04

Happy Birthday Toby

Morning girls, sorry to hear you have been dragged out of bed so early. I have had a miracle sleep this morning, after me getting up at 4.30 cos DD had laos her covers, and DH getting up at 5.30 cos DS was crying, they both went back to sleep until 7.30 This is utterly unheard of. Good job as I had a leetle bit too much wine last night

oopsacoconut · 29/08/2009 08:15

HAPPY BIRTDAY TOBY*

hotterpotter · 29/08/2009 08:17

Oops you said that much better than I did, LOL

oopsacoconut · 29/08/2009 08:21

Hots - I have become a star-aholic!!

Off to drop DD at the ILs so we can get the final things for tomorrow in a short, quick babyfree trip. It will be lovely - no buggy, carseat, sippycups etc. pity we only have 1.5hours. then back to ILs to bake the DUCK - why am I scared of a cake tin??

hotterpotter · 29/08/2009 08:30

Just remember to grease the tin first! Or is it a swanky silicon type peel-off-er? Good luck with the shopping and the baking; must be that bit more poignant for you after all the difficulties you had conceiving DD at all

hotterpotter · 29/08/2009 08:35

Being kicked of for CBeebies games now

Still it's better than having to watch it

Laters dudes

steaknife · 29/08/2009 08:37

Morning all and hoping it is a sunny one with you all.

DD is sleeping through nights now but the napping I was oh so proud of has not been consolidated. Ah well.

I don't know who the Mansteak fancies celeb wise. I did ask him once but he was most unforthcoming, claimed he didn't really think about them. So I can only conclude, given his film and reading preferences, that he fancies Frodo or Bilbo.
Perhaps Cate Blanchet or Liv Tyler weren't they the chicas in the Bored Lord of the Rings?

I did once tell someone that I was Kylie Minogue's Stunt Bottom and that it was infact my bottom in the gold shorts in the Spinning Around video. And they believed me

steaknife · 29/08/2009 08:39

Oops - good luck with the duck, for a moment I thought you were actually roasting a duck for dinner - thought "ooh la di da" but then remembered you are baking a duck shaped cake.

HP hope you have a lovely day.

cyteen

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/08/2009 08:58

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOBY
hope you all have a wonderful day

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/08/2009 09:08

lol at all the chatter last night.

sazzles how rude of the house guests, why didnt they just stay at home?

oops good luck with the `cake, i am sure it will be great.

good night here. both dcs slept through after a pretty rough week so feel good today.
I wish I had know though and I wouldn't have stayed up till midnight.
However seeing as I am leaving to go to my dsis today, thought it best I show willing and spend some time together.

He didnt get anything else though.
cyteen we are ok, took a bit of reds advice the whole fake it till you make it.

I am good at holding a grudge even when he has said his bit, apologised and moved on, so I did too.

The whole pony thing is sorted out now, I have made it clear that the pony is mainly for me for some therapy
I said me,mum and dsis have all put in for her, so all kids can enjoy and I will throw a bit of cash in as and when I can.

All sorted.
He has said fine, and he will be her a fab pony when she is old enough. I just bit my lip and said ok.

AnnVan · 29/08/2009 09:21

Morning all.
horrible night here. We had an explosion of maggots outside the kitchen door no idea where they all came from, but they were swarmng into the house. It was 1130 by the time we managed to reduce their numbers somewhat. We still hadn't eaten dinner by that time, so hadareally late one. Then wakeupsat 2 and 615, before uyp for theday at 8.

My DP likes Christina Ricci andsays I look like Faraiza Boulk. Not sure that's the best as she's distinctly unpleasant in both the films I've seen her in.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/08/2009 09:27

Oh ann what a night.
have the maggots gone??

Who is Faraiza??

cyteen · 29/08/2009 09:45

Fairuza Balk

RedLentil · 29/08/2009 09:58

Happy birthday Toby.

Glad to hear things are better with DH No1. I meant to say the other day too, that it was good to hear that DS had had a less weepy day too. With DS here, all that paased once he was properly walking.

DH is scared of Julia Roberts' mouth too, Hotter. His only celebrity crush ever is Emily Lloyd from Wish You Were Here.

He just doesn't get the celeb crush thing, so I'm having to be very quiet about my slight McNulty from The Wire obsession.

I once broke off with a boyfried after he admitted his ultimate celeb crush was Debra
Winger. How pedestrian can you get?

Oops, the duck cake will be fabulous and DD will be besotted with it. How are things with your friend's family in Durban?

Hotter, good news on the possibility of more potters.

Oh please Dizzy, sing the ballad of Lucy Jordan on your way into work.

DD woke lots last night again, but kept breaking off to say 'hi'.

AnnVan · 29/08/2009 10:19

Thanks no1 well we have a carpet of dead maggots outside It's sunny here, so any still alive will be hiding somewhere away from the light.
Thanks cyteen for spelling Fairuza correctly for me American History X is an incredible film, and I suppose it takes a lot of balls to play a white supremacist nazi type person.

oops you are an FBG I'm sure the Duck cake will be fabulous
steaky I have to say I lurve Lord of the Rings. I even play the MMO What can I say? It's great to 'see' Rivendell and and the shire and all the places I've read about since I was ten

Oooh and Happy Birthday Toby!
The time is just wizzing by. Not long till my lovely little matey is a year old
