I hope you have a lovely day tomorrow csws

Frizbe - Well done on the shop
Thanks for the spiderman scooter info....I was planning to get my dad to take me to Wilcos today and didn't have time, so will go on Monday when ds is at nursery all day. I feel some early christmas shopping coming on

Flame - I can't catch ds when he runs and I'm not 9 months pregnant! That is why he is still in the buggy for school runs.

Phoenix · 09/10/2009 23:13

Friz - He's 13wk today , no rolling yet but he has all of a sudden got chunky . He's jumped from 13lb 1oz to 14lb 15.5oz in 2 weeks. He's just started not been as floppy over the last few days. for the new shop.

Hope ds has a lovely birthday csws

Jas · 09/10/2009 23:16

Oh, I love it when they get all cuddly I'm slightly scared of breaking floppy little newborns

I've just done the online school applications for ds and dd1 [nervous.....I've only put one choice for each of them)

mustrunmore · 10/10/2009 09:13

I guess ds2's school form should be coming soon then. eek. It's going to be a nightmare if he doesnt get in. I dont want them to go to diffreent schools, and I dont want him to go to the only other one we're likely to get in to. Its not a great school, plus I have time to pick up from both but not drop off as they both start same time.

Not doing joint party noe fRiz; decided it'd actually cost more, as joint would involve whole class. so back to origianl plan of pizza hut; 16 kids plud my two, Dad paying as ds1's present. ds1 happy as long as they can have a scary fancy drss theme to scare the staff
got all the party bag bits from wholeaslers yesterday though, so nice and cheap!

mustrunmore · 10/10/2009 09:14

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY cswsds

FlameWithTooManyHormones · 10/10/2009 09:59

SIXTEEN KIDS??? why 16 at pizza hut???

Happy Birthday little CSWS

Forgotten most else. Still pregnant.

Jas · 10/10/2009 11:40

16 plus her 2
You really are mad mrm. I reckon 6-8 is the maximum I can do (without hiring a hall).

Ds managed to collide with a roundabout yesterday. He had a huge bump on his forehead. It is much smaller this morning, but with a big bruise still.

mustrunmore · 10/10/2009 12:12

Because I cant be bothered to hire a hall.
If I hired a hall I'd end up with more kids; if we did the joint party, the other person wanted the whole class of 30, so that would be 45 withour other friends too.

Because pizza hut is easier; thats why I'm paying for a party host to deal with kids complaints There will be adults there too of course; am sking for it to be drop off cos I cant feed adults too, but my close friends will stay of course. My Dad may be paying, but I still have to keep control on the budget!

Piza Hut cheapest option...

pizza hut 4.99 a child including cake and party bags and everything.

MacD's 7.00 a child

soft play 10.00 a child basic or 15.00 with a take home toy (worth 50p)

other soft play 17.95 a child

Hall hire £20 an hour so would need 2.5hrs, plus food and game prizs and entertainment bits and bobs. Plus more party bags! We worked it out as about £120 for our half, as they wanted a bouncy castle and 45 guests.

Jas · 10/10/2009 15:08

The problem is you (or ds) have too many friends.

As they get older it is alot easier to restrict to a few close friends and do something small at home....hot dogs and a video for example.

FlameWithTooManyHormones · 10/10/2009 16:42

See I have just restricted to 6 (inc DD) from the beginning...

EachPeachPearMum · 10/10/2009 23:44

Happy Birthday csws' ds! cannot believe it is a year already!

tHELLISH · 11/10/2009 08:51

Happy Birthday little boy!

mustrunmore · 11/10/2009 09:07

Well, there's 5 from out of school that are close friends. Two best friends at school, and two other close school friends. So in future I cN SEE HOW HE'LL BE CUTTING IT TO 9 and then 7, sdpo there's light at te end of the tunnel. But as Dad is paying this year, I dont minbd inviting 16!

Off to circus today (organised between 3 schools, each get a cut of ticket sales).

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/10/2009 19:53

Has everyone deserted the thread?!
Talk to me about 2 vs 3 children please. Dh has suddenly decided that he wouldn't object to a third.

FlameWithTooManyHormones · 13/10/2009 20:20

I would but that would involve the third actually getting out of my body

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/10/2009 20:31

I'm going to be watching how you cope closely flame, as I'd guess that if we had another then it might with similar age gaps.

GET OUT BABYGUS

Was it last Friday or this Friday that you're due?

FlameWithTooManyHormones · 13/10/2009 21:21

This Friday.

I am clearly a model mum for coping as it is, so I am a fine example

EachPeachPearMum · 13/10/2009 21:55

[g rin]

Wow- lovely news csws!

Wot no baby yet Flame?

Jas · 13/10/2009 22:22

Three is a great idea csws

There is always someone to fight play with.

And if you hold off til ds is at nursery/school the transition from 2-3 is alot easier than 1-2

Jas · 13/10/2009 22:24

Flame, by this point in the pregnancy if you are getting through each day without committing murder, then you are doing really well.

Do random mums at school ask if you've had the baby yet? Or was that just me??

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/10/2009 22:25

But I will be veeeeery old by then Jas! I remember you banging on about how old you were when you had ds, but I'd be even older!

Phoenix · 13/10/2009 22:28

There'll be no 3rd baby in this house. I think i've just about persuaded dh to get the snip. He doesn't think he should have to but i'm not doing it after i've been through 2 cs's and all the tests while ttc ds1

for your number 3 though csws. I've heard number 3 just sort of slots in no problem

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/10/2009 22:31

It's not definite that we'll try for a 3rd ladies - just thinking about it!

FlameWithTooManyHormones · 13/10/2009 22:35

Yes to random mums asking. I mean I look like I have swallowed a beach ball - do they REALLY need to ask!??!

Who wants to point and laugh at me? I decided to whack hair removal cream round bikini line and hope for the best (no mirror at that point).... I have this huge random patch of hair at the top with nothing else around it

Jas · 13/10/2009 22:37

You're quite a bit younger than me aren't you csws?

My two good friends who have had babies this year are both 40
And theirs are no 4 and 5!

(I am very glad it is not me though.)
