Due date is 16th. Have had backache since Thursday and sod all sleep because of it, but no sign of an actual child. I was tearful with just basic hormones anyway, but now I'm just pretty much broken.

I'm in a less arsey mood tonight

'woot' for less arsey mood am bored and tootling around threads here, wine worse.....dh has buggered off to bed, kids and cat asleep too. So my question to you all is who sleeps the most in your house? the kids, dh or the cat? it's equal dh and cat here I reckon! (makes mental note to marry someone 10 years younger at some point)

We did the open day at senior school. Really surprisingly positive

at your answer Jas! glad day at senior was good do you feel better about it all now? I'm dredding junior, never mind senior here (mind am still amazed that ss has had to purchase seperate 'dance' kit to his PE kit )

A little better. They have started making serious changes in the past few months, and are predicting big improvements in exam results (which have been shockingly bad for years).

DD1 will learn given half a chance, and by the time dd2 goes another two years later, even she may get pushed as much as she needs.

I may even be brave enough to fill in the application this week.

That's good news then fingers x'd they go onwards and upward from here, all schools can change just like 'that' IMO, our local senior got a new head and ended up in 'Special Measures' within a year, it was previously top rated.....so just show's what a differece a 'head' or change of attitude can make! (and boy has that head got a lot of slagging off from the teachers and the pupils.......the 6th form got the school re ofted'ed on her 2nd year, they all complained en mass and it worked)

Dh gave dd a mobile phone with a PAYG sim card in the other week, so that we could play at phoning her but she couldn't phone out.
Only 999 calls still work, hence us getting a call back from Herts police today .

Been to see gran today, who seems on the mend, so this is good, she's also aware that she's going into a nursing home, when room can be found for her and seems ok with this fact at the moment.

Lovely dentist toady; the sedation is set for next Monday. Eek. Great charity shop right opposite though; got a spiderman duvet cover for ds1 for £3 and BRIGHT RED jeans for ds2 for £1

Have found someone to do a joint ds1 party with, so gonna do church hall with bouncy castle, affordable between two!

DD1 is getting a brace in a couple of weeks. We went today t get the molds made. She is having red glittery and is very excited

We had a disasterous evening out today. Supposed t be meeting dps niece, and his uncle who is visiting from NZ, for a meal. We all met (HUGE taxi fare to get there). We were the only people in the place which is never a good sign. Before we'd even got our food, the owner came to ask us t keep our children under control and at the table. They were sat at the next table, not doing anything.

It went downhill from there. We left stressed and hungry .

Where was the meal? Spill the beans!

ds1 wet hte bed last nihgt, so the duvet cover is back in the wash already!

Am now off to tescos to return 2 scooby doo lucky bags that I bought on sunday and when I got home i noticed the best before date in March 2009

From the reaction to our complaints it was fairly clear the manager is a total dick and the place won't last very lng.

Dude ran off on school run - legged it round corner, right down the side of v busy main road. A lovely dad chased and caught him for me as there was no way I was fast enough.
