poo explosion! i could have dipped her in yellow paint and she would have come out cleaner than she was...

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 20:20

Phew.

DP away, both boys in bed, dinner in front of me, glass of wine in hand. Am officially exhausted. Orbit has spent most of the day screaming, and hardly slept

We went to the park this afternoon and I spent most of the time refereeing between DS1 and various other boys who were not sharing/not letting him play with their toys/otherwise upsetting him.

gingersarah we use on of those CD marker pens on the lansinoh bags, can you pop back into work to steal a couple?

hope haddock and dhal went down well!

Schulte · 18/08/2009 20:27

Hello WFH

PuzzleRocks · 18/08/2009 20:42

Evening

How is your wine going down? I'm limiting myself to one or two drinks at the weekend but boy could I murder a cold beer right now. Or a g&t.

When is your DP back? Mine will be away for four nights next month. It will be the first time I will have both of them on my own.

Hi Schulte

Rather too well

DP only away for one night - went this morning, back after work tomorrow.

Sorry to hear your DH will be away for four nights - can you get someone to come and help out a bit? Even if it's just for that bedtime couple of hours? That's the bit when I normally lose it.....today it was DS1 calling me upstairs for the 100th time because he can't reach the soap/the water is going the wrong way down the plughole/he can't reach the tap when he's washing his hands after a wee. I know I should be pleased that he's washing his hands, but I'd been up and down the stairs all evening!

PuzzleRocks · 18/08/2009 20:53

Actually bedtimes are not too bad. (famous last words). It's more the thought of having no back up for 96 hours.

If i'm truly honest, it's spiders. There was a massive bugger on the kitchen ceiling on Sunday night. What the hell do I do without my spider catcher? I'm terrified.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:02

Make sure you stash snacks around the house, and keep a couple of potties around the place as well. That way if there's a spider in the kitchen or bathroom, you don't need to use those rooms until DH comes back

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:03

Sorry, Hello Schulte! Didn't mean to ignore you there!

PuzzleRocks · 18/08/2009 21:11

That is a damn fine plan.

PuzzleRocks · 18/08/2009 21:13

Only one problem, the downstairs is all open plan.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:13

I threatened to spank DS1 earlier

Mind you, he took not a blind bit of notice!

mathshoneybunny27 · 18/08/2009 21:14

WFH I usually sometimes let DD get away with no hand-washing for number ones

Snacks around the house + spiders = spider house party, surely?

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:14

Hmmmm. In that case, you need to move into one room upstairs and seal it off. It's the only safe way.

mathshoneybunny27 · 18/08/2009 21:15

If you construct them a little bar area and a dance floor as well, they might leave you alone for a bit...

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:16

I would too, maths, but he is at the stage where he's incapable of going without weeing all over the seat, or putting his special seat on his head, or some such nonsense, so it really isn't an option.

He can do it perfectly well by himself, everything is within reach except the plug but I keep the basin full of water for him, but he likes to insist that he needs me to be there for some reason.

Schulte · 18/08/2009 21:16

Grrrrrrrr. Aaaaaaargh. Grrrrrr!!! DH has just woken up Hazel by stomping past her on his way to the loo. Fuckfuckfuckfuck.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:17

Am wondering where DP is - he wasn't sure where he was going to stay tonight but hasn't called to let me know where yet. And he isn't answering his phone (this is completely normal though - never met a man so deaf to his own phone).

Schulte · 18/08/2009 21:18

And I bet when he comes back downstairs he'll deny that it had anything to do with him and she would have woken up anyway.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:22

Send him back up to settle her again! Great galumphing elephant

Schulte · 18/08/2009 21:25

He did too! He did! He claimed she was already awake anyway! Aaaaaaaargh! Men! Men! Bastards!

mathshoneybunny27 · 18/08/2009 21:31

Schulte how deeeeeeeeeeeply annoying

Schulte · 18/08/2009 21:34

He got her off back to sleep but it will be feeding time in half an hour. Sigh... has anyone been on the Schadenfreude thread?

Schulte · 18/08/2009 21:44

Puzzle we get mahoosive spiders, hairy and all, around this time of year when it gets colder at night. There was one in my bed the other day.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 18/08/2009 21:45

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
