Myjob - Saw this and thought of you! I'm talking to myself today

pepperrabbit · 19/06/2009 13:57

Hi had no internet for a week. Still temperamental - just logging in to say I'm still alive!
Hope everyone well. will try to catch up.
DD can sit up, and wave now (but not at same time...)

Marthasmama · 19/06/2009 14:25

I wondered where you were Pepper. I thought maybe you'd gone on holiday or won the lottery or something equally exciting!

pepperrabbit · 19/06/2009 15:01

i wish!
I remain. one-armed, almost internetless and surrounded by washing....
AND DH is going to Amsterdam on business next week, returning late thurs, when we have 50 people coming for lunch and Ds2 & DD's christening on sunday.
Could really really have done with him being here.
This is not helpd by his constant smirking..

heather1980 · 19/06/2009 17:40

csws-
have you thought about using a cloth nappy wrap over the disposible?

Marthasmama · 19/06/2009 18:49

Awww Myjob - At least you know what is causing his challenging behaviour and that it will improve once he starts sleeping better. It would be terrible if he was being a pickle for no apparent reason. Still that doesn't help you now does it?! There will be an end to it, you just have to grit your teeth and be strong to weather the storm until that end comes. You're probably more tolerant than me , but what always helped me when DS was being really terrible was to remember that we all feel rubbish when we're tired and he is just too little to express himself properly.

Pepper - Bloody men eh?! What is the matter with them? Just phone Dominoes and get a load of pizza delivered. Everyone enjoy's pizza. Or....see if you can get caterers in, and charge it to his credit card. You can point out that as you only have one hand and he is away, there is no way you can cater for 50 people all on your own. That will learn him good!

M has been strange today. She's not been hungry, is suddenly terrified of the vacuum cleaner and nearly exploded with joy watching In the Night Garden or whatever it's called. She normally eats loads, loves the vacuum cleaner and ignores tv.

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/06/2009 19:46

Good idea heathr, tho too late 4 tonight as he's ready 4 bed already, but not sleepy, despite refusing afternoon nap, and is currently clambering over me pullinghair and eating my chin, hence crap typing.

Myjob - I need chocolate and shopping too! I too have no cash and even though it is nearly impossible, I am going to try and shift some fat before my op as I'm sure it will help my recovery. I could happily spend £2k on new Boden stuff, however about £600 of that would be on boots! Hurrah! I love autumn - woolly tights, snuggly jumpers, big cosy coats, lovely shiny boots, thick cord....... Yay! Sod the diet, you need chocolate energy to keep up with picklish ds!

Oooo, watching Corrie. Is Kevin after copping hold of Tyrone's Mrs? He is a naughty boy!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/06/2009 21:03

Don't tell me anything about corrie when I can't start my evening viewing thanks to ds.

Oh sorry CSWS! Didn't realise you were a fan! I didn't really see anything as I only got M to bed at 8.45.

star6 · 19/06/2009 21:09

sorry csws
Q just went down about 20 minutes ago... not heard from DH this afternoon/evening
I'm sure he's out for a friday drink with colleagues... but shouldn't he have text or called? I know is phone is out of battery as I've tried to ring and goes straight to voicemail (as it does when out of battery and he is rubbish at charging it).... but I'm a bit that I have no idea where he is

thanks myjob... I think so too. So I have a right to be ... I think. I text his colleague, but haven't heard back. His colleague who I have the number of thinks I'm too "controlling". This guy has no kids and isn't married and is in his 40s (doesnt plan on either, either).

Asleep at last!

He did that once before too didn't he star, when you were pg? I would put a phone charger next to your bed and make sure it goes on charge overnight every night.
